As a new-ish UFC fan, Dan has totally transformed my understanding of the intricacies of the sport by watching his fight breakdowns. Really missed on the broadcasts. That was heartfelt. Hang in there Dan. I wish they'd get rid of DC. He's a terrible commenter who simply doesn't shut up. I have to mute the fights all the time as he just goes on and on and on and on.

I guess he was just a contractor. If he were fully employed, they can't just let him go with a giant question mark. He could get a case going in the legal system if so

I am glad that Dan spoke out. He is so hard on himself that he normally doesn't speak details of his ufc issue in his platform. Good that Ariel pressed him and now we know what really happened

Thanks so much for your telling the truth about Herb Dean! That guy has been slipping for years and nobody has brought it home to him but Greg! Keep your chin up man! I saw the same exact thing you did and respect your speaking up!
It speaks volumes about Dana Whites character that he won't even acknowledge Dan about being fired, especially as Dana was always such a fan of Dan as a fighter. As far as the Herb Dean incident goes, it's only a matter of time before we see a fighter left as a vegetable after taking unessasary punishment. Dana White will stand at the post fight press conference and say what a tragedy it is and someone will have to be accountable for it,oh,the irony of it all.

Dan was a great commentator. The passion as an observer was palpable when he commentated. Such a shame, his “equivalent” rn is Felder but Hardy is much less fighter-minded and is incredibly analytical.
Unlike some of the other commentators, Dan is truly obsessed with the sport. He does his research on ALL the fighters. He reminds me of Brian Stann in that respect.
Heart on his sleeve, emotions spill over too easily into work even if he's right. I won't disagree that somebody has to say something first or speak up, it's usually people like him 🤷
Seems easy to work with to me lol Having passion for your work is key in MMA. He gave pretty logical explanations for everything that happened, and the UFC would definitely do what he says they did in basically black balling him. It’s very very similar to what the UFC did to Ariel.
This guy genuinely loves & is very passionate about the sport of MMA, has the best interests of fighters in mind, and truly cares about fighter's safety. He can talk the talk because he has walked the walk. He went the distance with one of the greatest MMA legends and UFC hall of famer George St. Pierre
As a young boy, I asked my Father, "Dad, what is Integrity"? He said, "All I can tell you son, is you'll know when you have it!" Dan Hardy has Integrity! It's good to have a moral compass....Ariel is another one.

Talks absolute sense, with zero bullshyt. Dan is an asset that the UFC totally undervalued and have let slip by. He loves his sport, he's a fantastic analyst and presenter. As a new-ish UFC fan, Dan has totally transformed my understanding of the intricacies of the sport by watching his fight breakdowns. Really missed on the broadcasts. Great that he's got his story out and thank god for BT keeping him on.
🏴☠️
Dan's passion is unreal, a TRUE fan of the sport. How tragic that his observations about herb have proved more and more true over time
That was heartfelt. Hang in there Dan. I wish they'd get rid of DC. He's a terrible commenter who simply doesn't shut up. I have to mute the fights all the time as he just goes on and on and on and on.
And worst of all, he doesn't know who Hannibal of Carthage is!
He is super biased as well
@@sir0nion who?
FOH DC is the best they have, far better than Cruz or Felder !
@@sir0nion hahaha
Dan is the best they had, Sounds like the UFC were trying to engineer a reason to push him out . Sleazy AF.
23:16 so happy Dan made that point. He was truly the best analyst on the broadcast team. Sad to lose him.
Dan "T H E O U T L A W" Hardy is T H E F U C % E N M A N!!!
I think a lot of people who don't know /understand/ like fighting see fighters as being knuckleheads. The reality is they are usually very smart people. Dan is a perfect example of this.
Awesome conversation. One of the best yet. Good job Dan good job Ariel. Thanks.
I guess he was just a contractor. If he were fully employed, they can't just let him go with a giant question mark. He could get a case going in the legal system if so
It's weird that even as a commentator, would he still be an independent contractor?
Depends what the laws are in Vegas. If it's a right to work state or an at will state. Technically you can be fired for anything and they dont have to tell you, at least where I live.
No one better for fight analysis, can and do listen to him for hours 🙏👊
Glad Dan called out Herb Dean. Herb needs to check that ego and put fighter safety 1st.
I am glad that Dan spoke out. He is so hard on himself that he normally doesn't speak details of his ufc issue in his platform. Good that Ariel pressed him and now we know what really happened
I want to see Dan fight all those fights
Hardy is the best Media Guy on top tier MMA, and what he is building with "Full Reptile" is game changeing.
Love Dan Hardy!! Just shows what the UFC can do when it suits them
I agree.. They'll turn you into a pound for pound of the world in seconds. Just takes a d... crowd.
I feel like the best mma fight analysts are people who actually fought at the top level like Dan. He does a great job. But when it comes to returning after 10 years I believe it's not a good idea. Specially when he even says he can't compete with the top fighters.
He isn't fighting the top guys though. He is looking to fight guys in a similar career stage.
Dan Hardy is the General of mma minds no one else compares to the way he disects fights and holds true to what is best for mma!
Best in the business, his channel as well as the 'raptors' , main way I prep to watch fights through the week
23:00 a real man. He can take accountability and stand firmly on his values.
Definitely miss Dan Hardy in the UFC. Ngl
They were saying stop the fight last night and noone lost their job
He because that's not the whole reason he got let go he started fight with a woman announcer in UFC back stage
We need a petition to bring back Dan Hardy to the UFC
Like Dan said...He will grow...we grow from adversity...or shrink from it...In Dan's case...I believe he'll grow...
I had the pleasure of meeting Dan in Tokyo. I went over to him, and he was an absolute gentleman. We had a nice chat and took a photo together. It made my day and week. He's awesome at breaking down fights and his analysis is second to none. I wish him all the best!
sus
Dan is gift to mma, ufc made mistake
Would love to see Hardy back in some kinda combat sport. I believe him when he says he’s learned so much being a fan and announcer. Just depends if the body can respond in same manner
Dan was a great commentator. The passion as an observer was palpable when he commentated. Such a shame, his “equivalent” rn is Felder but Hardy is much less fighter-minded and is incredibly analytical.
Dan was my favourite commentator so it really sucks that he got let go still a great analyst tho
Dan Hardy is the man and the UFC is missing something without him. I’ll watch anything Dan does
Bring Dany Hardy back to the UFC! All these producers that have never even stepped on a matt need to STFU!
UFC did a blunder letting Hardy go. Dan and John Gooden were awesome on commentary and I always looked forward to their analysis videos
Wasn't a blunder, if in Danas eyes he was becoming a liability
Unlike some of the other commentators, Dan is truly obsessed with the sport. He does his research on ALL the fighters. He reminds me of Brian Stann in that respect.
“I don’t wanna be the guy to say stop the fight but” 😂😂
Paul Felder lol
I like Dan but I get the feeling he is very hard to work with.
You soft
@Kai Riggs soyboy lol!! Ok Kai didn't mean to hurt your feelings bro. I'm sure Dan feels the same about u.
Dan Hardy was the best analyst in the UFC.
This guy genuinely loves & is very passionate about the sport of MMA, has the best interests of fighters in mind, and truly cares about fighter's safety. He can talk the talk because he has walked the walk. He went the distance with one of the greatest MMA legends and UFC hall of famer George St. Pierre
Seems like a nice guy and screwed by the ufc
29:30 for Ariel’s password
What is it ?
@@danielgonzalez-yp7hi watch Ariel's hand lol
The MMA community is better with Dan Hardy in it. There's no debate.
As a young boy, I asked my Father, "Dad, what is Integrity"? He said, "All I can tell you son, is you'll know when you have it!"
Dan Hardy has Integrity! It's good to have a moral compass....Ariel is another one.
😂😂 sure.
Dan is probably the best commentator out there along with DC
Shame he isn't in the UFC anymore
BOTTOM LINE... Uncle Dana and the UFC did Dan Hardy dirty!!!
Respect to Dan Hardy!!!!
Dan is the best MMA analyst/comentador but the UFC wants company men like DC.
Herb likes being part of the event. As with most sports, the best refs are the ones you barely notice... Big up to Dan. Hope he gets the Woodley fight!
Dan’s breakdowns are an amazing education in MMA.
Well spoken Mr. Hardy
sounds very much like something I've heard before, good to be on the "outside" to be able to speak honestly. Respect to you Mr. Hardy, have always appreciated your input and analysis. Keep up the good work. Onwards and upwards.
Mr. Hardy??? Hardy is enough, i hate those who are addicted to kissing 🍑s
When you sit down and think about it, if you try to fight someone at your job your ass is grass because when HR gets word they’re getting you out ASAP
the outlaw beats Tyron. simple
In striking maybe in mma not a chance lol
in what universe hahaahha
This man one of my favorite fighters I hope he fights somewhere soon I'm ready for the outlaw to return
Herb Dean and his wife got him fired
Kinda how DC and Felder got that ref this past weekend fired. If it was Herb reffing, no one would've batted an eye
@Don Che dude it was ridiculous. Did he mess up, of course but which ref hasn't. Herzog messed up on the fight that followed up yet no one is saying anything. He gave Dureav a double leg when he had a single leg and he literally gave a full blown double leg with no chance of Kopylov to defend, yeah he grabbed the cage, so take a point and put him in a 50/50 position on the cage. I feel bad for that guy
@Don Che agreed, should he have probably stopped it? maybe, was the deduction a little early, maybe, but the guy was fighting back and fight went the distance. Not an easy call
I got the vibe the herb Dean incident really pissed off uncle dana. Dan's just been punished for being passionate, definitely UFC's loss
Dan deserves better than this imo
his breakdown of fighters especially the rodtang one was damn good
I miss dan in the ufc, but he deserves more respect from them which they clearly weren't going to give him.. I think he would also make a decent ref too.
The ufc should have kept dan and used the ref situation as lore for a wwe type of side cut scene. Dan hardy becomes stone cold Steve Austin and the ufc becomes a even better place 🤷🏽♂️
Shame on the UFC for this unprofessional move.
Dan spitting facts, his video about Herb was spot on the mark.
He got the short end of the stick and, *as usual* , a referee wasn't held accountable at all for their bad actions. "oh, these things happen, onto the next fight!"
