I saw this on TV--probably Top of the Pops--when it was released. I was only 6 or 7 and it made quite an impression on me. Such a great song and I still love it.

Tasha, you shouldv'e seen the parents freak out over this one..even the chuches boycotted the song...but like many a rock act manager/agent has said "The more parents hate ya, the more kids'll love ya." Prime example here..none of the media hate could stop it from being a big underground hit. Other examples: Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin.

I was born in 60's and this is one song video I remember from my childhood. There are so many Rock stars from. 70's who were influenced be Arthur Brown. I don't think he meant it by the way.

I was stupid enough to miss Arthur Brown last week in Manchester. He's still touring at 80 years of age.
There are so many things to dislike about modern life (one is how much those that purport to want unity are actually doing to tear us apart) but the one positive is we no longer have to grow old.

Arthur was doing this act into his 80s. He was not interested in the business side so he turned up and played for free on the back of a flat bed truck in a field next to pay in festivals. Proper crazy old hippy and much appreciated by those who saw him.
