Zellweger is totally ready for the big league now because I see his attention to detail and his work ethic just by watching him a few minutes last month at development camp on top of the fact that he was the best defenseman in his league and won the award for it too. If Verbeek doesn’t let him play on the Ducks 🦆 this year he is way too conservative.
The future of the NHL is looking good. There’s others outside of this 5 who are going to be very good players as well. I almost can’t believe they snubbed Lane Hutson and Logan Cooley. The Calder race is gonna be exciting this year. I have a feeling Bedard’s not gonna run away with it. I’m rooting for Cooley, but I’m a coyotes fan so there’s my bias.
Yes and there's never been as much parity in the league then there is right now. McDavid would already have won two stanley cup if it wasn't the case. Hutson won't play in the NHL untill he's 21-22 years old imo unless they try him on the wing.
Lane Hutson had more points than Luke Hughes last year in college, and Hutson is younger. Hutson should have gone in the top 5, and I’m not even a Habs fan.
It's funny how Lane hutson production in his first NCAA season was way better than luke hughes second NCAA season. But I don't see hutson in any top prospect ranking.
Lol. It's funny how you're comparing the 2. Luke was stuck playing behind Owen Power his freshman year and set NCAA records, Hutson is real good but is by far Bostons best defenseman. Luke had better stats that Power did in his sophomore year as a freshman. Michigan is way more stacked than Boston, which led to Boston relying on Hutson far more. Hughes also looked like the much much more polished player on team USA. He also played in the Men's worlds last summer bud. Easily 2nd best prospect on this list ahead of Fantilli. Hutson is also 510, 155. Just FYI
@thomaskpante6487 lol okay? Luke had the best season for a defenseman in University of Michigan history (one of if not THEE highest regarded college programs in the country) & went on to make Hutson look silly on team USA. Luke was 100% bored playing against kids, & he could've easily been playing last season on the Devils just like all the scouts and analysts have said over and over. Wait till both are in the NHL and you'll learn quickly.
Zellweger at 23 was an absolute joke, dude's a top 15 prospect at worst
whole list was a joke. cooley at 6 is blasphemy

@@andykanani5671 100% agree, his game has become very refined and will lend itself seamlessly to the pro game immediately

23’ could go down as one of the strongest drafts of all time. People say recency bias but that’s just how good the draft was this year
I would have like Hughes at 2 as well
Recency bias strong
Who do you think should be higher? I’m asking genuinely, not coming at you at all haha
If that were true, they'd accurately have Jiříček over L. Hughes
Funny top four is all from this last draft. Just shows how amazing this last draft was
We all know who’s number 1
Matthew Knies
@@cam2159 i had bedard in mind but knies is very good don’t get me wrong
Nah bro lane Hutson is number 1 lol😂 but he’s good though
Michkov. He’s gonna be the next great Russian.
imagine if u stopped watching hockey before covid , the league looks totally different now
and of course new players and rookies break out every year but this much ELITE talent within a 3-4 year period is nuts
Logan cooley not being 2-3 is a crime
Haha it’s actually laughable. Hughes at 5 is also Laughable.
Leo should be #2, more dynamic.
Funny none of these guys had Michkov ranked 4th pre draft
Not sure why, but I just can't warm up to Michkov. Nothing against his skill...it's more of a personality vibe.
thats just how slavs are, much different than Americans
Lane Hutson had more points than Luke Hughes last year in college, and Hutson is younger. Hutson should have gone in the top 5, and I’m not even a Habs fan.
They both recorded 48 points in 39 games
Patrick Kane with Brett Hull/Auston Matthews goal scoring ability = Connor Bedard.
It's only hype until he proves it in the big time.
😂
Nothing off the board guys
A five year old hockey fan could have came up with this waste of time
The blackhawks are an evil franchise
nhl is rigged .. they sent him there .. nhl is a joke league
Real recency bias in this
Yeah Ej you have been wrong about your woke options!😂

@@spicoli3357 so having the best rookie season since Brian Leech it nothing compared to luke hughes I imagine
@@spicoli3357like u said , Luke Hughes was in a stacked team, he had better teammates to pass to. Lane Hutson literally carried BU.

Bedard a Hawk for a decade? Please
He leaves as a UFA to the Canucks
Keep dreaming 🧚♀️
michkov is a joke ..
your a joke…
