Carbon-neutral Danfoss factory runs efficient HVAC with VLT drives

Danfoss' green factory in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland, is among the company's most advanced production facilities and is the first to be fully powered by renewable energy sources. An important consideration during the construction of the plant was the use of technologies for data collection and processing.
In the factory, VLT® HVAC Drive FC 102 units are used, featuring DrivePro® Remote Monitoring and Condition-Based Monitoring. The drives control the ventilation and air-conditioning system and additionally collect information about the parameters, or emergency states of the system.
Full electrification, the use of energy-efficient technologies, and power supply from renewable sources have helped the newly-built production hall in Grodzisk Mazowiecki to reach carbon neutrality. In this way, Danfoss not only supports climate targets but also reduces operating costs while taking care of employees’ well-being.
