Great timing , my Granddaughter just told me she doesn’t want to go to University she wants to be an electrician so I’m going to pick her up a bunch of Klein hand tools to start her out. Klein has been killing it lately with some of the new stuff.
Anyone who wants that tap you can buy a 11in 1 style screwdriver with a tap peice on one side for around the 30 range for more versatility. I personally took my triple tap bit and out it into my trendy klein racheting impact x in 1 screwdriver. Man klein should have done something with textures on the clock to emulate the klein handles that would be over the top . Overall more stuff to fill our tool coffers. Funny thing my most used klein tool is the bottle opener screwdriver not for beer but fancy root beers and sasprellas. I don't know the torque spec for thoes bottles but it's alot for a twist off!
I totally did the same thing! The one you're referring to is the Klein #32517 which I have but I decided to get just the replacement tap bit #32518 and it fits in the standard 11 in 1 impact perfectly. Use the 6-32 and 8-32 taps quite frequently for pro audio repair.
In fairness to all, these tools are also available at your local electrical/HVAC distributor. Except for the American Legacy tools. They were a promo done through the distributors 2 years ago. The advantage to buying local is the distributor will honor the Klein warranty. Not always the case at big box and on-line retailers. Besides, local distributors can usually offer a better price and value than the Amazon sellers. Except on special promos and such. Just some thoughts to consider.
Yeah I’ve heard of people doing that. I don’t need passthrough as often as the hollow nut. If I need it I have some other options. I may try it at some point if I buy another handle
I'd love to see an actual review on kleins situational awareness bluetooth earmuffs. Compared to their regular bluetooth earmuffs and possibly compared to walker brand. The ability to hear co workers in a noisy enviornment is key while having the ability to send and receive calls via bluetooth/listen to music. I have not seen any good videos on the klein situational awareness earmuffs nor jobsite bluetooth earmuffs in general.
I don’t have any of those myself. I rarely work in situations where I work with someone else so they haven’t been on my radar. I could see that being useful for many people though
The aware mode is morecthan just people talking or coworkers. I use aware isotunes myself because it let's you hear tone differences if the blade is pinching or something is working harder than nessary. It's the only way to keep overall hearing protection and hear nuances. That's thr first thing hear is when people are stripping out a screw and stalling/pinching a saw. That gets boss agro aka teasing faster than anything besides yoy cut your finger off.
The pass through socket set has already come in handy at least a handful of times in the couple of weeks since I bought it. I bought the 1/4 and 3/8 sets and love them so far.

I’ve used the 3/8 set to help with some diy car repair like replacing shocks and brake pads. not sure the 1/4 ratchet would have been as capable.
I love these tools from Klein Tools. I'm from Romania but many years ago I moved to Germany near Wuppertal, home of Knipex and Wera Tools. For several years, I always buy tools from Knipex and Wera, but in parallel with Klein Tools. Why Klein Tools? Because I saw how high-performance and high-quality their tools are, just like Knipex. Of course, no one will ever match Knipex in terms of the quality and durability of the tools, but Klein Tools, especially the modular screwdrivers and the KNECT MODbox Case Impact Socket Sets fascinated me and I am super happy with them. I watch your videos with great pleasure and I congratulate you for that. You do a great job presenting tools; in this way I can also buy the latest news.
I do miss the days actually only 4 or so years ago thoes triple tap bits were made in the usa. I tracked down a few spares from dusty new old stock packaging at my local supply houses before all the old ones are gone. I use to be able to tap metal boxes and grounding screws by hand with the usa taps not so much these China ones there abnormally brittle. If you only do plastic boxes and thread chasing no major burs as designed it works I suppose. The illusion of progress!

I do like the compatibility between the pass through wrench and the ratcheting handle, one of my definite buys if it ever comes to the UK, or I am on holiday in America 😃😃

Wish they’d just sell 7/16, 9/16 and 3/4 pass through nut drivers considering they make this crap for electricians and that’s the only ones we need for all thread
It would be nice if they sold things more separately than in sets. Sometimes you end up doubling/tripling up on accessories just to get some that you want

U could drill a 1/4" hole on the top cap of the handle of 11-in-1 racheting. Make it like the pass-through nut drivers.

That 1/4 set is the best! With the ratcheting impact screwdriver awesome combo!!
I like the sockets directly in the handle. Kinda makes a stubby hollow nut driver. Stubby compared to the normal ones at least.

That’s the main reason I wanted to go ahead and get it. The value isn’t really there for me as a socket set only at the price.
