    6.27 is according to me the best part of the video: Everyone on board could escape unharmed! A good decision of the captain to make a sharp right turn when he saw a main road and buildings straight ahead of the runway and by drifting through the grassland to stop the plane.

    I will never understand just not using max take-off speed at all times , what would be the harm in just to have the extra reasurance

    • @grandepho1
      @grandepho1 Před 4 měsíci

      To always take-off at "max" speed would mean to always utilize max thrust. Believe it or not, this is an exponential increase in maintenance cost which would be incurred by the airline. Prohibitively expensive in the long run. And to be honest, reduced thrust take off’s are really quite safe with more then enough stop-margins incorporated into them. Cheers

    Your videos are very well done. I just subscribed.
    I have a question, though. I've never seen engines smoke that much both taxiing, and in flight in real life except for maybe the Concord, or B52s.

    • @MPCFlights
      @MPCFlights  Před 6 měsíci +4

      The B52 used to fly with this same type of engine. Old turbofan engines used to leave a trail of smoke like in this video.

      Thanks for the explanation. I gotta say, the simulations in your videos are some of the best I've seen.

    It’s not a -62…definitely a DC 8-61. Look at the cheatlines, ex-Eastern Airlines a/c. They only flew the stretch DC 8-61s.

    How many believed the gospel for salvation??? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and read Ephesians 2:8-9. Life can be very short, so do not live as if you will never die or you could die without believing what is very important.

    The aircraft shown is not a DC8-62. The engines are the wrong ones for a -62. It’s most likely a -55 DC8.

    The DC 8's smoked a lot. Maybe not so black but not light in color at all. Spent a lot of time on them. And, not being Boeing-built, they usually arrived intact at the destination.
