    Awesome!!! but definitely, if the mini version had the top mounting jacks it'll be a WIN!!!

      The led and the switch on the outside would also be nice on the mini.

      100% agree, the mini is the most board friendly of the three, I just wish Dunlop would add the 3-way tone switch and led to the outside.. The 535Q is mini now, and it does have the switch on the outside along with some other features, but I don't think there's an LED on it.. 🥴

    I paid $130 for mine from Guitar Center and although I loved it I just returned it. They had a standard Cry Baby used but basically brand new for $50. I really do like the top mounted jacks and the small size but not enough to pay 2.5 times more for it. Also those three different settings on the side, I couldnt tell the difference between them and I tried multiple times.

    Now if they would just make a Crybaby from Hell Jr or Jerry Cantrell Jr.
    I bought a Hotone Soul Press to replace my Bad Horsie 2 (save space), and while it’s got a ton of nice features and sounds perfectly fine for my limited wah use, I wear a US12-13/EU46-47 and it just ain’t workin’ out.
    The Jr looks like the perfect size.

    • @XxStonedImmaculatexX
      @XxStonedImmaculatexX Před 3 lety +1

      Well yes but...that means you can also bring the left and right pedal in closer as well.
      It’ll depend on the type of board you have. I use a Novo 32 and those cables up there haven’t had any impact but I use low profile pancake cables so...
      Also, the power input being up there is WAY better than having it on the side. You can use a straight or angled power cable with no issues. For the GBC95 or 535q I’ve used, it always had to be a straight edged power cable since the right angle cable would sometimes come off just a bit and since there’s no led light, you wouldn’t even know if wasnt powered on/off!

    • @-DILLIGAF
      @-DILLIGAF Před rokem

      Unfortunately we can’t have it both ways. You sacrifice one way or the other. I’m actually happy the cables go off the top as I will be using right angle 90degree cables and they will fall off the front of the board out of the way. I’m very stoked my board will be deeper rather than wider. Tomato-tamata

    So... I own the 535Q mini and I do love it but my foot is big and I end up hitting my pedals above on my board. I've moved things around but now I have space for a bigger one but this definitely doesn't seem as good as my 535q. No boost mode, no Q sweep, and my 535q has a four way toggle.
    I really appreciate dunlop working hard on this but it's unfortunately not for me

    • @XxStonedImmaculatexX
      @XxStonedImmaculatexX Před 3 lety +2

      I just replaced my 535q with the Junior Wah.
      I thought about all the features I would be losing but to be quite honest, it was the space on my board and the led light that sold me.
      I’ll be using it for live gigs and need the reliability so I’m pretty happy with it!

    • @joebruley4117
      @joebruley4117 Před 3 lety +1

      @@XxStonedImmaculatexX I'm looking at doing the same (mostly for the buffer in the 535q and how it interacts with my fuzz). This video makes it seem like there is a lot of low end lost in the Jr vs the 535q. Does that hold true in your experience?

    • @XxStonedImmaculatexX
      @XxStonedImmaculatexX Před 3 lety

      @@joebruley4117 I would say so man. I guess what we’re talking about here is “dimension”?
      And if so yes, the Junior Wah has limitations but is still more flexible than the old GCB-95 which only has 1 tone.
      The 535q has 5 tones or 10, if you include the boost feature which I never used.
      The Junior Wah only has 3 tones and no boost. If I had to compare it to the 535q, I would say its like a Tele vs a Strat you know what I mean?
      But to be honest, I use an EQ in on mode all the time and fix any low or even high end issues. That’s probably all you need if you want to remedy the issue with the Junior Wah.
      So far, I am 100% completely with the Junior Wah. I still have my 535q in case friends or family come over for a jam and they want to use a Wah. The old GCB-95 I’m planning to sell.

    • @XxStonedImmaculatexX

    • @joebruley4117
      @joebruley4117 Před 3 lety +1

      @@XxStonedImmaculatexX the issue isn't buffers themselves, it's buffers before my fuzz pedal. I don't like my 535Q ahead of my fuzz because the buffer changes the signal level in a way the fuzz doesn't like to see. Unfortunately for me, I like the sound of a wah before my fuzz. Buffers have their place, just not before my fuzz.
      Thanks for the write up above. I love the deep swell of the 535Q and don't want to lose that should I change it up. I also rarely use the other settings so it's overkill for my needs. No one will hear a difference but me, but hell-I'm a hobby player, I do it for me.
