This is one of the few cliffhangers where you want a season 2, but it made sense to end the drama this way. I loved every minute of this drama! They nailed it with this one.
I really love you for doing this. It sums up the realtionship between Hyun & Min. I have watched part 1-4 and I love that there is no overlapping scenes between those parts, and continuation instead. Even after a year, I couldn't forget this series and I always hold it dear in my heart.

I can just imagine a little outtake scene. In Guk in the middle of an emotional dialogue and Bo Gum getting all teary eyed and puppy faced because he can feel the emotion in In Guk's acting. "Hyung~..Mianheyeo" a little whine from Bo Gum with the pouty lips. In Guk going into complete hyung mode. "Aaaw, uljimara Bo Gum- ah." A little bro hug and the staff cooing. Then they remember that's not how the scene is supposed to go but it's so sweet they just let it happen till Bo Gum feels better. Sorry about that folks. I don't mean to suddenly make it into something it's not. I don't mean to force my views onto them, I just thought it would be cute and Bo Gum oppa seems like that kind of guy in real life. The super sweet, easily touched friendly type. In Guk oppa seems about the same. I just think they make super cute brothers. PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME~!

But the audience gets to imagine how he's going to live his life from that point on. As for Hyun, I think while he persuaded Min to stop killing, he would never tell his brother to turn himself because he felt responsible for how the younger man turned out that way. Him coming back to Ji-an meant that he trusted Min to make the right decision this time, whether it was to restart his life somewhere else or turn himself in. Min would always have his love and support.
+zuanie I completely agree with you about the Hyun-would-never-tell-Min-to-turn-himself-in part. Back in episode 12 (or 13, I don't really remember), when Ji An asked Hyun who his brother was and whether Min became a murdered, Hyun hesitated for a little while, then he claimed he wouldn't tell her anything about that, realizing when Ji An knew about Min, she wouldn't let him go for any reason. :(
The answer wasn't made OBVIOUS, but it was quite clear if you looked closely. When he left the hospital, the envelope containing his 'new identity' given him by the bad guy was left on the bed. Meaning that he forsook it. He did not choose to disappear in the crowd, get a new identity and probably continue with crimes.....he chose the other option of owning up to his wrongs, even though he would go to jail for it, but he would have his brother with him always.. his brother who loves him. So yeah, he chose the second option. He chose his brother.. that's what the smile at the end meant too.
I like this drama. The relation between these two brothers. But can anyone explain to me the ending for min's part.. he left the option given to him (his identity to live as who)..does anyone understand the ending for min?
His brother told him there were two options: 1. Surrender himself to the authorities(as painful as it is) and receive his punishment... Which would mean he chose his brother cos he would still visit him in jail. But above all, stop being on the run and committing more crimes. 2. Go with the option given him by the bad guy and be on the run for the rest of his life, not to mention becoming almost irredeemable since he would keep killing. In the end, what I saw was that he chose his brother. He did not use the ticket for a new identity and another country given him by the bad guy(looks like he destroyed it). So, yeah...his love for his brother won.
