Anyway, I like the clarity, composure, truthfulness, straightforwardness, and maturity of Mr. Wilson. He is definitely not a politician 😅

Ayo the queen of Mario, please advice this man what is happening in Nigeria embassy in Canada. Canadian Int'l passport is $160 and it will be delivered in 2 weeks. Meanwhile Nigerian Int't passport is $240 USD in Canada. When you pay with CAD, it amounts to $340 CAD. How could Nigerian embassy in Canada do business in USD thereby charging exorbitant fee. Do you realize the value of Int'l passport of Canada compare to Nigeria? Why is Nigeria charging over times 2 and you will wait for 4 months before you are invited to capture and wait another 4 weeks to get the passport. Nigeria is not getting it right and is failing in every ramification because of bad leadership. If I have my way and I charge this much, I will make sure Nigeria have one ground to have the advantage over Canadian passport- maybe get it in one month or take lesser cost. Please discuss this issue. Thank you.

I really hope soon we will get a forum where we can make contributions that can be addressed asynchronously . For what’s worth when you prevent businesses from charging in $$$ what measures are you putting in place to ensure that trading in naira favours them ? If you prevent businesses from charging in $$$ and then when for instance I walk into a shop to buy a commodity in the morning and the price is 10 naira and then I go in the evening and the price is 30 naira cos naira has devalued what did the ban on $$ solve ? I think we need to addres the failing currency and the govt has to take responsibility really cos only then will these policies work

First of all, there shouldn't be domiciliary accounts in Nigeria. Everyone must keep their money in naira.

Nigerians in Diaspora will be happy to pay for transactions in Naira or Naira equivalent. You will only create more problems for the foreign missions. Remember, they will not pay their rent, staff, or buy food, etc in Naira.
Most of these embassy only collect the Naira equivalents of their charges. By the time you ask Nigerian missions abroad to collect or transact in Naira, the foreign missions in Nigeria will also reciprocate by saying we should pay in dollars, euro, etc. And that will put more pressure on Naira.
This government is actually doing too many things at the same time.

Why are they not using National Orientation to disseminate all this information to the citizens rather than just announcing without educating the masses?

No foreign investor would and should venture into any economy that prevents dollar from being used as a bons fide currency. The naira has been loosing and will loose its value due to Nigeria loosing its economic compass. In effect, the nns are lost, the nation and the naira.
