Your video quality has improved significantly! Really compelling watch. And I agree that while AI tools can be a crutch for students, ignoring the opportunity to learn ourselves will leave us struggling when we are left to our own devices.
I used it for research and take that research and make it my own for I could understand it
I do not allow AI in my courses for exactly the reasons you outline here. I"m not against being efficient but the aim of critical thinking includes effective thinking.... Great vid, thanks for sharing.
Might want to pull back on having genAI tools suggest articles. I ran such a query and ChatGPT recommended 32 titles...problem was that 31 of of them were not real articles (31 hallucinations). The hallucinations looked good...nice sounding titles, known scholars as authors, real journal titles, etc. but when I went to find them, they didn't exist.
Is it possible for us to make a video about ChatGPT plug-ins that use curated data, such as Xpapers, ScholarAI, Wolfram, etc.?
Thank you for the video! I used Chat GPT for summarizing articles and trying to cite references. I found out that Chat GPT lies. Chat GPT will add fake stats to the summary of the article and will leave out important details from the article. Chat GPT will also list fake articles in reference to your paper. It is a good thing I read and confirmed the report's statistics. LOL. Thank you again for the video. I appreciate them.

By the way, Star Wars Day was 5/4, Geek Pride Day was 5/25, and I am so old (age 60) I was actually in the theater for the first Star Wars movie way back in 1977.
I'm not too impressed with it. The idea is fantastic and somewhat unique. We are living in these times to see all this but im parcel to learning how to do it myself. It is more tough going back to school at 57 years old; however, it is exactly how they said it would be when I went to community college in my one-horse town of Pendleton, Oregon. I remember most of them telling us about Google, which was not even here yet. It was just in the process of being created. As I said before, if I had not found you, I would have flunked out by now. No joke!

@@smartstudent_official I am fifteen miles from my hometown, where the largest rodeo in the world is. However, my hometown did not have a light back in the day and had only 1 grocery store. Now it has a gas station with a gas station. And as of last year, they came in there and put in a Dollar General and a family dollar store. Which most folks think is not necessary. Bend is approx 300 miles west of me. You sure would be pretty close to the Pacific Ocean.
