- We always look to lower the healthbar in a fighting game, but what about the moves that do the opposite? How about the healing moves? We want to look at the techniques that heal the fighter or their ally (and maybe even their opponents), whether it's a small attack integrated with their whole moveset, or a cool super move to give the fighter a bit of a break. Also, my mom is the cohost.

Athena Asamiya has a healing super special on KoF Maximum Impact 2 she's says "Healing, It's show time!" And is surrounded by hearts.

Athena’s healing was introduced in KOF 99 as her being used as a striker.
Surprised Yukiko Amagi from Persona 4 didn't even make an honorable mention. She's in both Persona 4 Arena games and Blazblue Cross Tag and along with her zoning moves, she has a healing move that can heal her (and her teammate in Blazblue) for a good amount health depending on how long you hold that pose. Not only that, if performed next to the opponent, it actually has knockback on start-up.
She’s my main and I love when an opponent uses a super attack and the healing blocks it lol but she’s weak as fuck
I don't know if anyone remembers "waku waku 7", but Teese had an attack that heals her while also damaging the oponent ( even if the damage was just 1ps), and also Fernandez (final boss, so non-playable) could deal a lot of damage while healing itself.
Jago from killer instinct. The fact that he can go into instinct mode and heal by damaging his opponents with endodukens is a major up for his gameplay

Gotta give a dark shout-out to Hanatarou in Bleach: Shattered Blade who, as a joke character, and a member of the Healing Corps, has a sword that heals its targets. He can only deal damage by using either his body, the blunt side of his sword, or his Bankai Mode that gives him some kind of scalpel

Top 10 Weirdest Move Set.
Including a rule for how weird it is for their respective game could be an interesting caviate so the list and/or ranking could be less predictable.
For example, Ganandorf has a weird moveset because he doesn't represent his game of origin.
My favorite healer in fighting games is Yukiko Amagi, specifically in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle because while you best your opponent into a crimson paste, Yukiko can heal you and herself if you input the right command.
The art of Athena at 8:48 felt so strangely familiar that I just had to look around because it was bugging me. I remembered what it reminded me of, particularly Isabella from advanced wars days of ruin. Same artist maybe?

Why can't Tesse from Waku Waku 7 be an honorable mention? She has a syringe desperate attack that can heal herself when she is at low health.
Also a shout out to Elena for being the only one who actually reached out for Akuma and he kind of...don't entirely rejects or hate her. Good bean.
I'd mention Kamen Rider Wrath from the Kamen Rider Dragon Knight game, but that healing is one use, and he's also just generally OP.
I knew Celica was going to be here I’m surprised there’s no Yukiko. Yukiko heals it has knockback and projectile invincibility. Every DP in Persona self chips but everyone below 30 HP goes into awakening which gives extra HP extra If she heals back all of her life then she has more life than she did at the start

Love Jun but i can say its safe to say shes definitely fallen from healing grace since now she also has health she wont be able to recover anymore which i think is fair since her already good pressure and pokes made her kinda OP with the amount of ways she could recover health herself without really having any drawbacks.

Small correction: Elena is not the only non-boss Street Fighter character with a healing move.
Rose in Street Fighter 5 can heal herself with her v skill 1. She is also a healer in SF Duel, for whatever that's worth :p

An Honorable mention to Jill Valentine in MvC2 where one of her assists is healing her active partner's red health using herbs, the main healing item in Resident Evil, it's a nice touch.
That moves is what made me pick her as part of my team in MvC2, also I believe that Sonson has a similar assist in the same game.

I get that Celica’s healing is more integral to her game plan, but what about Ragna? He was the original BB healer, technically, especially in his Blood Kain/ Overdrive state.

I have an idea. A super move that heals the opponent.
But.
BUT!
If your opponent's health maxes out you basically "overload" them and they explode and lost like all but one pixel of health. See, it's a move that's basically useless in almost every context but if you catch em they're fuuuucked.
