Does LOREAL COLORISTA SPRAY Work on Dark Hair??!

- I randomly saw this in walmart and had to pick it up!! I was gunna use it for my dinosaur halloween costume but then got lazy haha so it's finally here in a video! Does Loreal Colorista spray work on dark hair?? I've tried colored hair sprays in the past and haven't had much luck because they always transfer, so I was really interested in seeing if this color spray did. I picked up the Mint 40 loreal colorista spray, which is a green color to do a review and demo! As always these colors show up much better on lighter hair but this is just a fun video! Although I will warn lighter hair that I read a few reviews that it might stay in longer than expected in lighter hair than darker brown black hair. (UPDATE: Some of ya'lls brought up a good point about trying hairspray to keep it from rubbing off, i tried that in my FIRST EVERY RE-TRY VIDEO: • (2ND TRY!!) Does LOREA... aaand we did an ombre look!)

Wash-out Update: First off let me tell you about my normal "shampoo routine". I take a small handful of shampoo and put that on my scalp, lather, then use the lather on the rest of my hair. I don't usually ever apply more shampoo to the lower part of my hair by itself. So after doing that, (and letting my hair air dry) I did notice that my hair still had some green residue on it and got all over my hands that night. The next day I used shampoo directly on the lower half of my hair that had the green (instead of scalp to tips like i described earlier) and it came out! So you definitely do need to apply a good amount of shampoo directly on the areas you applied and it comes off!

You are supposed to spray, brush through and keep adding to build up color :')
I tried the teal spray... Maybe I sprayed too much before brushing but it just matted my hair, barely showed & took me ages to brush it out... & My hair is a lighter brown than hers!
I have the purple one (not the lavender) & it showed up really well on my hair which is as dark as yours. I want to try the blue & hot pink next & the gold looks like it would show up well too!
I remember buying that cheap colored hairspray for Halloween as a middle schooler many years ago. It was hot pink and worked really well on my dirty blonde hair, but it made my hair super crispy and it did get all over absolutely everything.

my roots are your hair color and then my hair fades to light brown at the tips so your channel is so helpful to find dyes that work
i tried the pink colorista hair spray and it DAMAGED my hair AF WHY ?, her hair looks so fine i had to wash my hair right away. it felt like i had hair spray on

I found that when I used these sprays, it left my hair SUUUUUPPPPEEEERRRR chalky to the touch! I loved the colour, but it felt so nasty LMFAO I'm gonna try the semi permanent one next, because it's not a spray that'll just glue your hair together :P
The chalky feeling does disappear fairly quickly though, right?? Because my hair is so dark, it didn't really show up so I washed it out and it leaves my hair really tangled and stiff and yeah just I hate it and miss my normal hair.
Our hair colour is sooo similar so this really helps me decide what to buy! much love x

the colorista hair spray sadly didn't work out for me (I had the pink one). I have brown hair too, but, like, the colour did show, the only thing was that my hair became really dry and tangled (it actually looked as if I had dead tips), so that I couldn't even run a hairbrush through it. Also I had colour residue everywhere, on my arms (my hair is quite long), on my shirt, my stuff like pillows and blankets, just everywhere my hair brushed against. Moreover, on the packaging it said that the colour will wash off within 5-8 of washing one's hair, but a strong pink (or rather rosé) tint remained in my hair for almost 4 WEEKS (though I gotta admit the tint looked pretty nice :) )
Wouldn't recommend buying this hairspray but that's just my opinion 😊

That spray is seen EVERYWHERE in Australia! Theres heaps of colours in Australia.. I havent tried it yet tho but im going to T-T
I had had a combo of green & blue...kind of like the peacock combo about 9months ago, & though I had it done professionally at the salon, for the longest time it was allover my clothes... The first time I saw it on my off white outfit, I freaked out... but then it washed off in one regular wash. Now I have bought another brand, a semi-permanent kind, & will see how it works out. I have a lot of grey, so I know it will show up EXACLY the way I want it to... bright green on the grey/white, but only agreen shade on the black area.
I posted the silver one of the colorists spray! It showed up so well on my dark hair! You look good with the green though😍

Omg I tried this and it was terrible!
It made my hair extremely chalky and knotted, it also didn’t wash out and damaged my hair and finally the fumes were so bad that I got extremely sick and most likely high off of it

I used this to touch up my blue hair one and I found it to be awful because of the color transfer. It got on my hands, pillows and when it was hot out it mixed w sweat and bled

Be careful if you buy fake versions or other sprays because they can cause your hair to feel dry or worse one day my friend and I tried a spray (it was like £1 or something) and part of her hair ended up falling out ! So be careful I don’t use them because it causes my hair to feel so dry

i tried yellow hair spray once because that was my class color, but when the hair spray dried, my hair looked green
I’ve never tried it because in Germany it has a ...bad reputation I’d say... it makes your hair green no matter which color it is and many people have so dry hair that their hairs fall out... so I won’t try it...

it works on rlly dark hair you just needed a diffrent color, how i know? I have rlly dark hair and i used blue and it worked perfectally

I recommend the Claire’s hair spray dye it shows up n dark hair and you can decide whether you want the one that has glitter in it or the one without it

what if we try using hair fix spray after the color spray?
i tried that in my "2nd" try video, it still didn't help :( because the color spray deposits in between and under hair strands etc, it's very hard to spray hair fix in the EXACT same spots to 100% prevent transfer
