Just to be fair about the product so people know, whenever you are using fashion colors the end result depends on your base. Your ends were very yellow, and with a blue on top of a yellow you will get green. On ash brown hair with some lightness preferably it would turn more of a turquoise because it is more cool toned. You always have to consider color theory when messing with fashion color. It's not magic and it's certainly not going to look the same on everyone! 😊
I believe the red or the maroon color would have suited your hair better ! 💕

The struggle of being a brunette. I'll never bleach my hair again, it took about 6 years to grow all of the way out, but I wish I could go blue for a couple of months. Why can't we achieve fun colors without ruining our hair? That might be an interesting series though...
I know it's not the color you wanted, but I have been searching for a swampy green hair color for ages! I'm VERY fair and I quite like the Corpse Bride look on me. 😝
was def worth a shot ...might try the violet type shade .. that would possibly be less warm than the burgundy .. thank you for being our guinea pig :) xx

If your interested in a fancy wash out color, purple or blue would probably land you with better results.
Purple covers pretty much everything decently. Blue will turn teal against the natural warm shades in your hair. Pure teal is competing against the warm shades already in your hair, so then it turns green. :/
Maybe this color works better on more cool toned hair since yellow + blue = green.
Yeah I would expect that it would based on colour theory, I just thought it might be super strong since it is designed for brown hair
I really wish hair colors would match the advertising. We need someone to show "This is the method we used on the model to get the shade you see in the picture" instead of box instructions. I would say you look like Snow White instead of Corpse Bride 😀

They photoshopped each models hair that's why it doesn't resemble to the actual color
LoveJoyPeaches in their instructions it says you have to have pre lightened hair in order to get the best results
This tutorial is the realest footage I've ever seen and honestly it helps me so much since I'm also a brunette and I really wanted to use this product in teal or violet but just didn't know whether it works or not so thank you a lot!
I'm blonde and I used the mint/blue one for blondes, and it's been in my hair for a month... It's faded, but it still very visible. So if you have naturally light blond hair - be careful!
Wow that sucks, I've been looking at a lot of videos for this colour and it seems to be super hit or miss. I really wanted to try it, but I might try the burgundy instead

I have only used it a few times and it's a nice palette. If you like the Naked palette formula and warm shades I would say go for it, but it's not perfect

I wish I had seen this before I tried it myself. I used the same shade and was so disappointed. I have slightly lighter hair than Kat and I definitely looked like i had dipped my head in swamp water. Luckily it washed out in just 3 washes, which is also unusual for my hair as even washouts usually last a lot longer for me 😣
I tried the red that was just for blonde, bleached hair, or highlights. Even though I have medium to dark brown hair, I wanted to dye it red but there wasn’t a red color for brown hair at my store. I wanted to dye a small clump of my hair as a sort of peekaboo strand. The first round of dye didn’t really show but my hair didn’t feel damaged so I dyed it again. I saw that it showed more the second time, and it felt soft and not damaged at all. So I just kept dying it, and I’m on my 5th round of dye (that I keep in for 30 minutes). If you have brown hair and are only doing a small chunk of hair I recommend that you dye it a couple times and it might show more. It you are doing your whole head or want an ombré look I wouldn’t recommend it.
I tried to do the denim color on my light brown hair (i used blonde dye to make it lighter, i am naturally dark brown) and it looked so pretty, and lasted about a month (not so bright in the end but still) after a month it started to turn greenish. I loved the color, the problem was I stained everything: shirts, face, clothes, pillows. It was a nightmare. I couldn't wear light colors at all!
I’ve used this color for the longest time and it lasts so long in my hair and it’s the perfect shade of turquoise. But I get my hair bleached completely blonde first and the small part of my hair that remains brown seems unaffected.
I've tried it on my ombre bleached ends when I attained the yellow base. It turned out aqua and incredibly vivid. It faded to a muted lime green and I'm okay with that. Nice tutorial and review, you're gorgeous
The one advantage is that the cool tone really shifts your complexion so now you can rock cool makeup looks and lips. That's the drawback to warm hair--doesn't usually jive w/ cool makeup especially lips for me but they look so gorgeous on others!
You dont have to bleach your hair to make it work, but you need to tone it if you have yelow/orange undertones. I have neutral medium brown ( I call it european mousey) hair and these things work fine for me.
I tried this last night and it came out the EXACT same colour as yours did!! Now I'm rocking the green look (Which, suprisingly, I kind of dig?! Idk.).
It came out as a really interesting grey/blue colour on my sister though and it looks awesome!! :D
yeah I don't hate it... but it's not something I would recommend for people looking for turquoise hair
you could take one for the team and put it just in your ends for like 2 hours and see what happens. mind you even if that makes it more vibrant it will just wash out to that colour.
I'm dying to see an update as out washes out. I'm skeptical that it will wash out completely.
Kay L I tried the indigo and purple def didn't wash totally out the first time but by second wash significantly faded

I think this darker shade looks awesome on you!! The swampy ends might be a little weird, but I think you made them rock.
I recently used this hair color on bleached hair, and it turned out fine..... on the parts that werent yellowed and almost completely white. Since your hair had a natural red tinge to it, just like mine does, the dye pulled green. Half of my hair currently is a teal to emerald, all because the ends of my hair were more orange when I started.
Yeah I knew it was because of the warm tones in my hair... I was just hoping that, since it was designed for brown hair, it would actually do what it claimed haha

I have ash blond hair with highlights. I tried the dark rose one and it worked really well on me. I've seen dark hair girls using the red one and it worked well too, so, probably this color is not the best of the range. I'm so sorry for you , it would been a great color on you.
Yeah annoyingly all the shades that seem to take well are the refs and I don't want to add any extra warmth to my hair 😝

Omg I did the same thing with the bathroom cleaner and my hands when I used the denim version of this stuff! I was like I'm sure this isn't right, but I was desperate to not have blue hands for two weeks. The denim also turned green on me.
Funny I did that too. I mix it with conditioner and use it to tone my blonde hair every week or so, works well.
You can just get it off with hand soap
i tried that same color and i have darker hair than you and it really only showed up on my gray hair and i really did look teal. it was nice to try

Lets not forget there is different shades of "brown". I have the same product and as I remember it doesn't say it's for all hair colors (i might be wrong). Its kinda logic that the darker hair - not so much of color pay off because its *not* permanent hair color. Three hair washes and color is gone. I have a lil bit lighter hair and it works okay, I dont complain because i know what to expect with these kind of colors 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻

I bleached the ends of my hair and used that colour over the top, it came out true to the packaging...but after only two weeks it faded to the same kinda green/lime green colour
I did a test strip of this dye on my hair. It did come out blue. Thank God LOL
I tried this same color and I didn't think my hair was that dark brown, but it apparently is. It looks like I just dyed it a darker shade - the only parts that took any noticeable color were my strands of grey. If I look at it just right in the light, I can see a light tinge of blue-green on my ends, but that's probably just wishful thinking. (Also, you are rocking that "swamp green"!)

Bummer, that's false advertising. Thanks for trying it though. I don't think it looks bad, just not what's on the box. If you do want to get it to wash out quicker, I've been told by hairdresser friends that, Selsun Blue (think that's what it's called), it's like old school anti-dandruff shampoo will help. Pretty drying though.
I like the color I have in the hair dye right now it's my first time doing this
It did work on my dark hair I just left the dye in my hair for an hour but I didn't wash it with shampoo and the dye didn't wash off and my hair is so teal
I dyed my hair with the same color yesterday and I really love it :)
The bottom may be that green because it's reacting to the dye you had on your hair. If it was an ash product you used before it will grab green if you put a now ash product on your hair

Are you able to get Arctic Fox where you are? I have used their colors over brown hair and it’s vibrancy is very nice. My user pic is from last year using arctic fox aquamarine (Color was a bit darker irl, flash brightened it some) My hair is similar to your ends, maybe a smidge darker.
Does the "paint" come out easly after all the washes? Or there is still some "leftovers"?

I was disappointed with the color. I used it once, instead of directions. My hair was previously lightened and pink and it became black-blue....
On the box it says your dark hair wouldn't work. It has to be dark brown to light brown. Worked on mine just fine

I only heard bad reviews about the colorista hair dye. Also that it washes out within 2/3 washes, not 10.

Liza Ellie I have the same hair colour and it lasted around one month. The burgundy colour works better. I put the burgundy in at the start of summer and it lasted all through summer it did go a light pink though. Also my hair is a light brown.
The bleach they sell to go with it is awful.
So fucking drying.
also it looked alot bigger than it actually is.
My hair was bleached and I used the turquoise and it stayed like for 3 months
I used it and it stayed for 4 month's in my hair it made my hair look like blondish

I thought the color was teal? Not turquoise? That’s could be why it came out swampy green. Though it looks cute on you. A lot of people(me included) can’t pull off any green or green like colors it washes me out haha but dude 🤙🏻 it looks good
The instructions say to just rinse the color out, not wash it. I used the red, my color is the same as her roots and it looks awesome! I also haven't put any color on my hair in years so it's basically virgin hair. Maybe those 2 things have something to do with it.
I said wash it out because that can also mean rinse it out. I didn't shampoo it out, I just used water
The tips of your hair were lighter , I’m assuming highlights or something. This means you can’t expect blue at the tips since blue and yellow makes green. This is not a hate comment I just don’t want people to think that their hair colour will turn out the same as yours since you clearly didn’t have natural brown hair at the tips.
I was expecting to be slightly more green, but this is designed for coloured hair as well, so I didn't expect it to look as bad as it did

That colour isn't for brown hair you need to bleach it or have highlights but you have the same product that has #denim hair that colour is for only brown not dyed hair just read the labels if it says you have to bleach hair don't put it on brown hair there is the colour like i said before for brown hair it says on the label
Half of my hair is unbleached and the other half has been bleached. It didn't work on either part
Another very dark age girl with a CZcams channel review the same thing and in the light her hair was turquoise it was very pretty. But if your ends were ombre due to coloring it then you can't ever say what will happen.

Slightly. Most of the colour came out in about 3 washes but the ends still have a slight green tint

Like I said it still has a green tint but I am sure it will go back to normal
