places ravaged by man outnumbering the places ravaged by time.. restored by others who see the benefits of using the original structures.. preservation a strong force for some.. progress a strong motivation for others. Thank you for revealing history past and present.
Im from poland and when i saw these photos i was like please no more war just peace and i never want poland to get ever invaded or any other countries I love the whole world and we all need peace❤️🇵🇱😭😢
Mont Saint-Michel. As a young man, I remember how sad I was to see many of the statues there vandalized beyond recognition for reasons only people long since dead cared about. This continues always. Ignorance is the human condition.
From Angoulême, S.O of France.
My daughter was an exchange student in Moscow, 1999-2000. She said the Moscow McDonald's were the only place in town where you could be guaranteed to find a clean restroom.
Photo number 1, how hard would it have been to raise the modern camera up to have at least SOME skyline in the picture so it would look possibly CLOSER to the old photo. There is at least 25% sky in the old picture.
The Germans have done an outstanding job of preserving and restoring old structures. In Particular, the old Prussian and 2d Reich buildings. I did see that some of Hitlers architecture has been replaced
8:32 The Chernobyl disaster one is eerie.

Love the old pics contrasted with the new.
Impressionnant ! Merci, gerard de nice, France.
5:33 The cars are mostly the same! 😄
Fascinating indeed! Love the great music as well! Thank you~
Mont-Saint Michel at 5:15 is extremely impressive!!
Something else that I look for in these bad then to present is the trees. I'm not a tree hugger just like to see there growth.
No need to be to enjoy nature! It's our home, our origin, even if we keep damaging it.
Better to be a tree hugger than not.
C'est ce qui m'a frappé, y a 4 ans en revoyant le quartier de mon enfance à 50 ans d'intervalle...

7:15 the old picture cannot be from 1900 judging by the cars from the 1920's and 30's
PASSAGE OF TIME INDEED !! SUPER GREAT ! THANKS ! FROM U.K. (2022).
I cringe every time I see a McDonald's sign in any of these photos.
Is it because frog legs are not on the menu? Or do u prefer children that u lure into ur home in the forest that u decorated with candy?

It's because gentlemen prefers Le Whopper.

Gee imaging that battle damage repaired and new buildings in only 50 or 60 years time
The most interesting is the effects of global warming on the glacier. The glacier has almost completely disappeared.
je pense que la photo du Moulin Rouge ne date pas de 1900 car des voitures présentes sont des modèles des années 1920.

they also did an outstanding job of destruction.
1:32 what happened there?
I see a mcdonald sign of the photo
We are in Warsaw, prefer now to then👍
0:13 the now pictures look 30 years old judging the cars
Some of the photos the only difference is the coloured picture
It’s not the bridge at Arnhem, it’s Nijmegen. 😉
I don't know which place is which apart from names of cities mentioned.
Both scenes past /now should be of same colour, as coloured ones appear bright. Gupta
Too bad na abt the melting Arctic 😞😞😞
There is one...
We’re the photographs taken at different times of the year.
