This is the kind of writing that SNL was missing for SO many years. This is the kind of laser point parody and tight ensemble performance that a truly diverse cast (and writers’ room!!) can deliver. I’m glad SNL is finally catching on.
And all it took was four cast members leaving (Pete, Aidy, Kyle, and Kate), another four getting fired (Chris, Melissa, Alex, and Aristotle), and one who came back, but left midseason (Cecily). SNL transition years are no joke.

This whole skit was brilliant from beginning to end. That part where the waitress goes "I got next" and starts dancing is just too hilarious.
I literally didn’t know that was Aubrey in the pink until the very end! And her “Brrrrrrt” was phenomenal. I could see her running a whole Latino crew with that attitude of hers!
I didn't recognize her until I read your comment. Honestly still can't see her as that character.
When I first saw Aubrey I was racking my brain trying to figure out which new cast member this was since there are so many this season. Can't keep 'em all straight. They all suck! The new cast member that really needs to get his walking papers was the guy playing William (0:38).

I didn't realize it was her until I read the comments. I'm so accustomed to her playing a certain type of character that she was completely unrecognizable in this skit. Really impressed!
If you haven't realized how talented this SNL cast is, then you haven't been watching or you haven't been paying attention. And this includes the writers. Brilliant.

Saw this on the show before I'd watched White Lotus, and it was funny enough, but watching it now after having binged both seasons, it's fantastic.
I feel like Ego saves every sketch with perfect timing and delivery.

SNL are lucky to have Ego Kenan and Heidi - they have such good comedic timing
Ego has a really gorgeous voice, too.
