Honestly I wouldn't point it a the Sun on a bright day. Overheating the sensing elements this way can get expensive very fast. #topdon

Hi I've just received mine today and it's a brilliant little thing but it won't work when it's plugged in facing the same direction as my phone camera, it only works facing the same way as my screen. Any idea how to get it working pointing the right way ?
Hey, mine works fine both ways. Maybe you have some fluff or something inside your phone socket bit? Try and clean it out maybe or you could always try and get an adaptor extension bit like I used to see if that makes a difference

#topdon building my extension at the moment, be interesting to see how the keylite 08 windows I've ordered compare with their thermal expanding collar and different pvc frame construction to velux
I've got keylite in the barn, I'll have to check them myself at some point
The #TOPDON kit looks awesome, would be great to use it on the house to fully understand the issues but also when out doing searches for people especially at night. Game changer. Any idea why the iOS version is more expensive? Thanks for sharing.
I know they released the ios version alot later, I'm guessing maybe the extra cost has something to do with apple charging them maybe? 🤷♂️ Probably a software thing
suprisingly effective for a mobile addon #topdon
I got the same camera and when It's connected to the phone it is constantly making some tiny clicky sounds (every 5 to 10 seconds) and image freezes for 0.5 second. I can hear on video your camera is doing the same. Is it supposed to be that way?
Yeah, that clicking noise happens when it resets itself, I think it basically recalibrates every 10 seconds or so. I realised when I pointed it at the sun and the bright bit stayed on screen until it clicked and reset
