If Plagg ever finds out Gabriel tried to akumatize Adrien after leaving him. Yeah. Gabriel will definitely be sooner dead.
This is the thing that shows just how much of a monster Gabriel is. He senses negative emotion and hopes to akumatize someone, but when he realises it's Adrien he was sensing, he stops. At first viewing, it appears he stopping because he cares about Adrien. When he goes to Adrien's room Nathalie's asks him not to take advantage of Adrien's emotions and he says he's not a monster, he just wants to comfort him. But here's what he was ACTUALLY doing. When he senses negative emotions and then realised it was Adrien, the reason he stopped was only because he knew Adrien doesht wear an alliance ring (which he uses to transfer extra powers to people.) So when he went to Adrien's room, Nathalie was right to suspect he might take advantage of Adrien, because really the only reason he wanted to talk to Adrien was to convince him to put on the alliance ring, so he could try again to akumatise him. He really is that much of a monster to not onoy akumatize Adrien but also to pretend to comfort him simply to manipulate him to wear the ring to make him more powerful when he akumatizes him. Gabriel truly has become a monster.

Actually back in episode 5 "illusion " they trying to akumatized gabriel agreste to figure out how he can transfer the power of the miraclous. Hope that explains you everything.
