Compared with her world tour live Emotion videos, in which she chose to change the melody to avoid some notes to still be able to sing this song, she can now hit those notes. She really is an admirable singer, and I would love to see her keep on singing. BTW, those whistle tone notes doesn't require vocal folds vibrating. So no matter how bad her voice might sound, she can still hit those incredibly high notes. For this reason, I believe those notes are real.

Let's get real here, she cannot crank out these songs effortlessly like she did in 1991. Her voice has matured and degraded over the years. But that's not to say she doesn't perform the hell out of these songs today in a lower register and good background singers to fill in the holes and still make it work.

Mariah gets an A+ from me for this performance. In my opinion, in no other videos has Mariah attempted so much of the original arrangement and just about in (if not in) the actual key. Bravo & may more performances like this arise. Side note - 2014 was not the terrible year for Mariah that many have made it out to be. Yes, the Elusive Chanteuse tour had some no so great moments but it also had some great moments. Her vocal cracks and breaks were actually quite beautiful. Also, during this time when she had a lot of personal termoil, she relied on her band and the crowd to lift her spirits. Consequently, she took more risks and used less prerecords than usual. Just my humble opinion. I must get out of the house for a few hours before I spend the all afternoon watching Mariah concert clips...lol. Happy weekend, all!

I used Nikon Coolpix S9700, I was trying watch Mariah herself and not the camera screen, the best footage are the songs where she doesnt move places all that much. Glad you like them.
