Captain Chantel DuBois is an abolutely hilarious villain, one of DreamWorks' best. And I love Vitaly's character development. I also think Marty and Stefano's friendship is kind of adorable.
And I applaud any opportunity to use Non, Rien de Rien in a movie.

I felt like this was the best of all three, in terms of pacing, villain and plot. Like Night at the Museum there was a full circle element to it while also getting some entertaining side plots

Honestly, while I'd say the 2nd one was better *overall* , there are individual elements of this move that outshine the other 2 combined.
DuBois is hillarious and intimidating, the circus cast added an emotional edge to the movie that wouldn't have been present otherwise (cause keep in mind the cast alredy went through their whole arcs in the last movie) and the characters finishing their hero's journey by not being able to go back to their old lives is *such a nice touch* that brings everything full circle.
As a whole its just a great ending to the trilogy.

the movie itself was good but i just don't like the idea that they prefer to be in a circus than in the wild/nature with their kind. I mean i get its a kids movie but still i feel like it would have been better to have this as the second movie and then africa one as the third and final one where he meets family etc.
DuBois is the best villain overall, but Makunga is the most personal to Alex.
I went to watch this movie in the theaters quite a few times. Still, to this day the performance with Katy Perry's Firework playing is one of my favorite movie scenes ever. Gia quickly became my favorite of the new characters introduced and I thought that her little relationship with Alex was pretty cute. This movie also is my favorite of the three.

Fun Fact: DuBois punching the snake was a call back to a deleted scene where she got the poison for her dart by beating up a snake. They cut it for feeling it wasn't necessary when they can just put in a poison dart.

Europe’s Most Wanted is my favorite Madagascar film of all! I saw this film in 3D the first time and I was throughly entertained. My favorite scene is the second circus act the characters performed, it was a real spectacle, especially in 3D format. I also like the Afro Circus mix of “I like to Move it, it’s a real head bopper.😁 Definitely on of my top favorite Dreamworks films.

This is without a doubt the best in the franchise. The London circus performance is one of my favorite sequences in animated films. Kind of a shame Madagascar 4 never happened since it was supposed to be out in May 2018. But since DreamWorks will be bringing back Kung Fu Panda next year for a fourth film along with the likely possibility of Shrek coming back, there’s some hope for Madagascar making a return.
That’s what I was thinking about.

@@tbakhalid4781 DreamWorks was in deep shit where they almost went under due to numerous flops like Rise of the Guardians, Turbo, and Penguins of Madagascar. Because of that, they had to shelve certain projects like that BOO film, Madagascar 4, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (originally, scary to think about), and the Me and My Shadow film.
I just wonder if Chris Rock (Marty) and Jada Pinkett Smith (Gloria) would be okay working together again after the whole Oscar's debacle.
Of course it's hard to show it off in a reaction video, but can we acknowledge the awesome score by Hans Zimmer.
My favourite part probably being the Monte Carlo Chase tracks.
This movie tends to get more hate but it's honestly my favorite of the trio! Everything was just done SO WELL!!!!

the problem is the lack of continuity from the 2nd movie. Where is Alex dad? what happened to them? why do they want to go back to NY if they were living happy on Africa. That's why it feels unnecesary

Also, the second movie literally ends with a cliffhanger set-up of the Penguins promising to come back, which shows that going back to NY was always the plan. Africa was just a detour.
That one really was my favourite movie out of them 3 and as I think I'm not alone with it.
Just the villain alone makes this movie just great. 🇫🇷🖤

While I don't think this movie is *quite* as good as the 2nd one overall, there are individual parts of this movie that outshine the other 2 BY A MILE:
1.The movie had the best villain in all 3 movies *by a long shot* .
DuBois is absolutely hillarious in how intimidating and effective she is. That is *really* hard to pull off in a villain and to not have it overstay its welcome.
2. The ending is literally *perfect*
Its the definition of the hero's journey. The characters have gone through so much and changed so drastically to the point that the destination, in this case being the Zoo, just felt wrong.
They literally can't go back to their old lives because its simply not who they are anymore.
3. The circus cast suprisingly not only add a new spin to the cast, but add a great emotional core to the film that would have been othersise absent (because ,keep in mind, all of our main characters completed their arcs in the last movie)
As a whole its just a fantastic ending to a *suprisingly* solid trilogy

It’s amazing to see BOTH OF YOU’s literally personify each other into the story with WE, indicating that the audience became part of the team. It’s both cute and wholesome when the viewers become magnetized into the film. You both seem to have enjoyed this one very much. Can’t wait for the Penguins reaction!

For me it's 3, 1, 2 for these movies order. This one has everything I love, terminator determination, circus mayhem, a good message without slapping you in the face or boxing your ears. I like Gloria and Melman together but understated 👏 it could have been awkward if it was too incorporated.
I recommend Shark Tale, Rock-a-doodle, or Box trolls

I love how much Dreamworks commit with their sequels, and I think Madagascar 3 really shows it off.
The setting is new, the style is ramped up, and story-wise I just love how they brought it full circle by taking them back to the zoo, only to realise how dreary of a place it was.
Kung Fu Panda & How to train your Dragon's third entries didn't quite measure up to the originals in my opinion, (dw I still think they're great) but Madagascar 3 might be my favourite in its series. As you said the animation is really cinematic, the flashbacks of Vitaly really show that off, and the circus' blacklight scenes are such a new flavour to the franchise.
Vitaly and Debois are the best.

3rd and 1st movie are always tied in my list but currently I’d go with 3rd as my favourite. Our protagonist’s journey throughout this whole series was so amazing. In Zoo they never really got the chance to actually discover life. Going through the wild in first movie made them realise true traits, second movie showed them embracing those traits and still make their own choice whether they want still want to go back to sheltered lifestyle or settled at a place beyond their comprehended strength, third movie shows them coming through a balanced lifestyle between both of them where they could be themselves and still have the luxuries. The new additional cast in 3rd movie didn’t feel forced but in fact had their own depth and they align well with our main group such as Jia and Alex, Vitaly and Alex, Stefeno and Marty, Penguins and Monkeys with other characters. Let’s not forget the iconic villain who’s really hilarious without even trying because of how obvious she is of her goals and how intimidating she is.

Afro Circus Marty completely blindsided me when it first appeared in the trailer. I thought I was going to pop something from how hard I was laughing! I had tears in my eyes and could barely breathe. I lost it whenever I watched the trailer. Next thing you know, there's Afro Circus Marty hour long try not to laugh/sing along videos online. There's even a picture of someone's comments who was doing the 10 hour long video with the comments documenting his decent into madness until he became one with the afro circus. It's fake, but it's still hilarious to read.🤣🤣

Madagascar is one of my favorite series because it continues the story from the first movie in a good way, and has a great ending where the characters find a place where they’re happy. And that’s it. No fourth or fifth, just a nice trilogy.

It is unfortunate that Zuba and Florie were written out this film and didn’t appear nor were never mentioned in this film along with the fact Alex didn’t even say goodbye to them, of course it had to do with Bernie Mac’s passing which made it impossible for them to get a new voice for him out of respect for Bernie.

If i can recommend something after the Penguins movie is their series. That for me was better than the whole trilogy itself. If you can make time for it, than it would be great for the next animated series part.
