Love to see a secret build contest - everyone gets the same budget, assembles their gun in secret from the others.
Then every one - still not knowing the other's builds - gets to pick/design a challenge for one of the episodes.
You know CZcams doesn't allow firearm build videos, right? Not really a "secret build," just CZcams compliant videos.

Clint, I agree with you 100%. If the government says you don't need it, or shouldn't own it, you should. At least five of each, plus at least 1,000 rounds for each and reload, if you can. Same goes for suppressors. We shouldn't need to pay for a $200 stamp and go through the bullshit to obtain a suppressor (and same for EACH one). The noise they reduce is a courtesy for your neighbors and helps reduce hearing loss for the shooter.
Absolutely do 1000 yard challenge. It would be good to see.

Hey guys. I see that you are enjoying the Azrael. It's truly a wonderful rifle. If you would take Matt's Savage and put in a chassis system like an Oryx and put a different scope on it, the competition would be a little spicier. That rifle and chassis combo could highlight how just putting a little bit of money into a basic rifle set up can improve how it shoots. You can keep the price point at around $1000 even with the MSRP of the rifle itself. I will volunteer to load some ammunition for the .308 rifles (you will need to supply the components of course). I always like watching your podcast. You never know what you guys will talk about. Take care and be safe.
Night vision is so sweet nowadays. So much better and less expensive than just a few years ago.
Less Expensive?
Yes. Less expensive. A decade ago the very best Gen. 1 or Gen 2 night vision was cost prohibitive for most people. Now, early generation night vision is available for reasonable prices. Granted, more recent Gen night vision (Gen 3 and Gen. 4) are VERY expensive, as they are relatively new technology. The point to my comment was- a person can purchase early Gen night vision in 2023 for very reasonable prices versus what the same early generation night vision cost just a decade ago. While it’s true that the absolute latest/ greatest night vision is very expensive, a regular guy like me can now spend a few hundred bucks and have some ability to see in the dark whereas a decade or 2 prior, that was not possible.
Clint! You guys need to figure out what is going on with the Begara. Either Clint can't shoot; or somethings wrong with the rifle itself, or the Scope is loose or defective in some way; OR it is something else. If that gun can't hit targets; and you guys can'f figure out what is going on, AND FIX IT; Then who would ever buy one? THis is worth a complete video!!!

I agree with Matt on the gun owners and their excitement to share. I have a good friend with a 50 BMG, when at the range recently guys were coming over from other ranges when they heard the boom that thing makes. He let others and myself shoot it, which I think combined he put less rounds down range then the others he let shoot it. I happily shared my Hellion (suppressed), then hey brought out their M1 Gerrand, FAL and a lever action 45-70 which they let me shoot - totally awesome range day getting to shoot that many different guns in one day!

I've been a range officer for many years. I was watching everyone shoot. Both Clint and Ryan were pulling there shoots with that rifle.

Savage 10 FCP HS Precision 7.62x51 NATO. Prints five shot groups with all touching. Paid ~$1100USD, plus ~$1500USD for SWFA SS scope. Not for carrying over rough terrain, as the bull barrel/scope add enough weight to make it tough to endure. However, from a fixed position, it's lethality is 100%. And yes, I followed the Savage barrel break-in protocol with Winchester white box ammo. After 11 years, it still prints perfectly. I have harvested nice deer and hogs with one shot, one kill, dropped on initial hit. Accuracy doesn't have to cost a fortune. Do your research.

Out in my area of ranch land, we're not shooting game out to 1000 meters. Normally it's 100 - 200meters for whitetail, even less for wild hogs. The 7.62x51 is more than enough rifle for the average shooter/hunter.
How about something along the lines if a lever gun series???

Elevation, humidity, all of that will affect point of impact. Tennessee to texas maybe 1500 foot difference on average after sighting in at one location to another

great podcast: I only have a couple firearms in my cache. one I carry, and the other is an msr. being a poor I just cannot afford another firearm. Thats why I enter CF Giveaways as well as many others, in hopes that I can grow my cache, but no luck so far its been several years since I have had a chance to purchase any firearms!

I really think we should go back several years couple decades or three. I think if a felon has done their time and repaid society. They should get their second amendment rights back. It used to be you go to jail prison whatever but when you got out you got your guns back I truly believe a person should get that right back
