Thanks for joining the CF Podcast team!
Mike has always been my favorite channel, from filling my first eform1 to field stripping my first gun for cleaning he’s also seemed like a honest straightforward guy. Appreciate it and CF has been making excellent content/podcasts too. 🇺🇸
thank you
Mug club in the house
MugClub!!
What up, my mugga!
I love Mike for one particular reason over all the other reasons to love the guy. He refuses to compromise on his principles. There is no "I believe in the second amendment...but..." I'm tired of that crap from "gun guys" and "second amendment groups and "advocates." Imagine what the garbage NRA would be like if it were filled with people like him on all levels. I'd be an instant lifetime member.
His demeanor is great. I don't want to follow roid rage bro vet that's just as emotional as the people they talk trash about. I want someone that is cool and collected and capable of critical thinking. The country would be a whole lot better if we had more people like him.
Mrgunsngear one of the best reviewers, one of the top ones I search for reviews before I buy things.
A hugely successful YT channel based on giving a gun forum the middle finger!
America!
ha, truth
@@Mrgunsngear I can handle the truth.
I was stationed with Mike in Fort Sill Oklahoma back in 85-87. Good to see he is doing something good in the gun world. Would love to talk to him again.
100% agree on the barrel length. You’d see the 10.5 to 12.5 and then your 18/20” guns.
Thanks for doing the interview.
Mike, awesome to hear the backstory. So many of your videos have been informative, instructional, and as you've said, honest. So much appreciation for that.
My guy Kya is stepping up and getting way better at interacting with interviews
Mike was one of the first channels I started watching & still rarely miss a video. I often think as a lefty, if a gun blows up or yeets a broken piece out of the ejection port, I’m screwed. Gonna go check my Henry for defects 😂
That’s why I was a FireFighter/Paramedic….We actually helped people.
I own several guns due to Mike’s content. Thanks for this podcast! Let’s get Mike more subs!
I like your plan
Fabulous! Constitution ahead of all, always!
Awesome no one ever for a second believed Mike stole valor. He’s the real deal
Hello Clint, Mike, and Kya, Thanks to all of you for your service. I appreciate your honest discussion regarding the struggle of LEOs in a seemingly lose/lose carrier where you struggle daily to uphold the Constitution at the risk of your own job, life and family sometimes.
I just wanted to clear a few things up.
First of all, it was great to meet you at the NRA Annual Meeting in Houston last year Clint and we all miss Kaydi. wish her the best in her new position as 2A advocate.
Second, about ten years ago the NRA Instructor program went through a major revamp because it was pretty much a joke in the firearms training community. However, today it is equal to the best. I just got my Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer certifications this year. The NRA offers several levels of training certification from basic pistol to CCW and Self-Defence and requires that their instructors retrain to renew their certifications every two years. My training over the years has included classes from Greg Block of Self-Defense Firearms Training, who is P.O.S.T. certified and trains police and military as well as the public. He is one of the primer CCW instructors in Southern California. My training under him has included rifle, pistol, and shotgun at the range, in the classroom and on the simulator. I have also trained at Front Site in Nevada (now Prairie Fire) and the Revolutionary War Veteran's Association's Project Appleseed. I also, completed the California DOJ BSIS security guard Powers to Arrest and Firearms Permit training programs. My point is this, with all the varied training I have had over the years I can say, from first hand experience, that the NRA trainer certification program now in place and being taught is top notch.
To your comment Clint about becoming an NRA pistol instructor just to have the certificate; the NRA Instructor Program clearly discourages that kind of attitude in their instructor candidates and stresses the importance of looking and acting in a professional manner. (e.g. no flipflops and tank tops.)
Always enjoy hearing what you and your guests have to say, even when they sometimes get one or two things little wrong. Great Job, Clint explaining the importance being an informed voter. Lots of great content always. I would suggest another version of Mike's shirt, "Always Torching Freedom."
Thanks
Had no idea yall had a podcast! Post more of these!
Always one of my go to channels. Love and appreciate all the work you do brother.
29:12 “Unless you’re a Fed” lol. I do enjoy Kya (still miss Alex though) but I will never stop calling him Fed Boi.
I've been watching MrgNG for years. Literally years. One of the first I started watching also one of my favs. Great podcast
Mrgunsandgear is the 1st gun related channel I watched. It is an awesome channel. This is a good show on how it all started!
thank you
Good conversation. I really enjoy hearing these “how did it start” videos.
Do more of these please.
Thank you!
Yes thank you Mike and Classic!!! Great great content!!!
Super guy and knows what he is talking about.
Yeah,.. been watching him for a long time too!😎
Never knew this story though. Really freaking cool in a "it's a small world" kinda way too.
I'll add my input on the every Marine is a rifleman thing as a POG. I don't know if I come to the definition of rifleman yet, but, I saw what the Marines taught me as a foundation, that NEEDED to be built upon should I ever need to to rely on those skills to survive. I studied outside duty hours, trained outside duty hours and range, still took the range as often as they let me, and have studied ballistics and built my own rifles for myself. I feel EVERY Marine should take it up on themselves to become an individual with a more complete knowledge of what a rifle is, how it works, when and how to use it. But that's my thoughts.
Awesome Awesome Awesome video. Thank you guys for doing this collaboration of general information, fun stories, the upside and unfortunately downside to firearms(Mike’s malfunction), personal favorite of pistol/rifle, etc. Just an all around great crossfire(no pun intended) conversation. I hope to see more like it. Be safe and be blessed gentlemen.
When Mike said "fuckers" I had to skip back to hear it again. 😂
Favorite Carbine for me is Centurion CM4 13.7" MIDWEIGHT HF with C4 Rail . Favorite Pistol is P320 X5 LEGION..All time favorite is Diemaco C8 14.5" with Fixed carry HANDLE
Mike is one of my favorite Podcaster. I feel like I can take his word to the bank.
Really enjoyed this.👍 I like the Classic Arms videos and Mr. G&G is one of my favorite CZcams personalities.
I love this kind of content. It's a beautiful departure from my usual shows.
Mikes channel help me and my son build are first AR . I figured if he was going to be a Marine he needed to know how to field strip and clean one . That was nearly ten years ago and he's now a EOD tech and loving blowing shit up . I still watch regularly . Thats Mike
So glad they said this about people in the services - Military and LEO. Just because you are in doesn't mean you pull the trigger all the time. I was Infantry for 10 years. I fired more rounds down range then I did in the whole of garrison. I often had to find excuses to link up with units going out. And I would often use my own money to go to private training in the civilian sector and I learned far more there. You always keep learning. Love the officer story, because I remember a LT who did a ND inside an Arms Room in Iraq - guess what, he still got a Bronze at the close of the deployment.
Always great to hear from Mike
Shouting out my dude Maj, pretty based. You guys are getting closer and closer.
Never knew he existed. I may try to watch just to see. I’m mostly into informative videos.
Fantastic podcast. Mike is just a genuine individual whose stories I give a substantial amount of weight. Loved it.
Spicy doesn't even begin to describe Telegram lmao
😎
Great interview! Like many others Mrgunsngear was one of the first gun tubers I started with at the start of the pandemic when I decided to "invest" those stimulus checks.
At the 43:12 time mark in your auto-generated transcript, there is a reference made to Tim Temple. What happened to him? I tried searching his name on Duck Duck Go, but had no luck answering this question. By the way, this is the first, and the most frank, honest, open discussion I've ever listened to about Second Amendment issues from the perspective of law enforcement officers. Outstanding video!!!
Just passed that part. Probably mis worded part. They were talking about Tim Pool. He has been swatted many, many times.
Joker has a voice like a bullfrog. With that said his channel is one of the first channels I go to when I need information. He has some of the best review videos out there.
Great video. Mike just seems like such a good dude. I feel like I’ve been watching him for a decade now. Back with hoss and Yeager in the old days man.
Tactical response needs to start a class for law enforcement to improve the training and do a week long course
My favorite to date...do more with this guy please!
As a retired Fed, (Immigration Inspector and more) I did enjoy the fact that 90 % or more of my contacts were providing service to the international traveler at Laredo and other locations.
In my police academy 3 years ago we fired approximately 1500 rounds from pistols, 1000 rifle and 250 shotgun. My PD does annual quals of 25 rounds. I train much more. I write a ton of reports. I want to make sure that I'm proficient with my tool that can be used to defend others and myself with.
But yes, most of the officers I work with barely know the gun on their hip. They are great guys that I can count on, but they are not gun people.
Hey man, Kaya here from the Podcast, I just wanted to throw this your way real quick: Make sure to not use the word “kill” and say you make sure the tool you have can stop a threat. Defense would use the word “kill” against you as if you meant to kill, rather than trying to stop a thread. We in LE never intend to kill, we always intend to stop threats. 🫡
@@Suitandtieoperator love the podcasts though. Always fun to listen to
Great piece!
Mike is a cool cat.
Always good to see my brothers together on a video
awesome
The OG!
Great podcast.
I only have 1 gripe with this podcast. It was 3hrs to short. Great episode 👏
Love Mike’s channel! Love CF! Keep up the great work!
Great interview!
Speaking of favorite guns, I have 3 favorite guns in particular; the FN Minimi, which is the go-to gun for engaging a war skirmish and my favorite version is the original 1982 version with the FNC style buttstock and the bare long barrel, and it’s the version made famous by the Bravo 2-0 SAS in the Gulf War. Next is the Dragunov SVD, which is the go-to gun for collection purposes because of being a semi-auto sniper from the ground up and having the unique PSO1 scope with a simple to use fancy reticle and the Dragunov SVD itself being one of the coolest guns in the world. And lastly the Colt M1911, which is my only go-to favorite pistol because of being a beautiful looking pistol. My favorite M1911 version is the Colt Defender M1911 in 9 mm because the light colored stainless steel makes the pistol look super cute thus it’s the baby gun for me. And I prefer the 9 mm cartridge because of being readily available and lighter recoil. And that’s the overview of my 3 favorite guns.
Great talk y'all.
🤦♂️🤣👍 Hey Mike, always learn something new about you. Being prior Svc, and in combat arms, and old NRA ins., I had to laugh at your assessments - I've been there..lol .
great content great podcast: Even though I am not a big fan of Mr.G&G I still watch some of his content here and there, but I always like hearing about how some of y'all got started doing content. I know it is not as easy as it looks. maybe one day I will start some of my own content. that is if I can ever get back on my feet, which is not easy to do when your in your 50's, but not impossible. keep up the great work guys, maybe we will get to meet in the future!
On red flagging and all the rules now days, back when I was a kid every time I went to Sears I would go by their gun display. I saved up my money and bought a 12 gauge pump shot gun with a ribbed barrel and a poly choke. I was in the seventh or
eighth grade. I started squirrel hunting with my folks when I was eight years old with a single shot 22. Try doing that now.
Crazy story
You can tell he was freezing throughout the whole interview poor guy lol. I thought he was just nervous at first until he mentioned he was cold.
👍👍
Great podcast. Mike is awesome!
Thats funny. Ad before this video was about a Colorado mayor pushing for gun control lol🤷♂️. MrGuns is responsible for me spending lots of money on firearms and various excessories hehe. Awesome content. Great channel. He and Hickok are my go to guys in the firearms arena. Great video🤘
Love this guy (Mike) if he's talking im stopping to listen! I'm actually entering contest for Classic to win Spear Lt but going to watch this in its entirety and then resume finishing entries for contest! I really wish Mike would consider politics we need people like him in office! I guarantee he'll be a sure win!
One of the biggest problem with cops is their lack of knowledge of laws and the constitution, their power trips and egos are a different topic all together but at least the education aspect can be fixed.
Let us know who you would like to see on the next podcast in our comment section. Tom Gresham?
Love his channel, good info!
I was at Katrina with Missouri Guard and we were never told to take anyone’s weapons. We would have refused if told because we know an unlawful order. Show-Me state can be pretty hard-headed.
Maybe not your unit, but definitely others. There's hard video evidence that surfaced of guard, local and state police that DID confiscate. Door to door, car to car, boat to boat. There was even interviews with guard members about it. "We did this kind of stuff in Iraq, didn't think we would be doing it here."
@@TheMrASSTASTIC true, there were many units involved. I was an engineer, so I was down in the 9th ward cleaning the place up as the water dropped. Bobcats and shovels. Chainsaws for the trees and poles. Clearing the streets.
Today in Pennsylvania LEO cadet, to qualify you only shoot 50 rounds
Whenever I think of branden I will forever picture the garand thumb airsoft video 😂
Never comply with the enemy
Well our local police here in South Jersey had the protect and serve taken off the cars because our politicians and government leaders said the job of our police officers is to enforce the laws and they can’t help u if u are broke down in the middle of nowhere all they are allowed to do is to check and make sure u are not braking any laws or have warrants and if they want to give u a ride to get help and caught with someone in the cop car that isn’t going to jail they can get reprimanded
That's shit. Wtf man it's called a courtesy transport in WV for police to give rides we pay for the fuel, cars, repairs ect so they should help.
Can we get someone to make a press check meme of “pressing” the trigger 😂
FYI, I was SWATted by a judge. There is a Court of Appeals decision on it.
Awesome pod cast
Y’all need to get post Malone on the podcast make it happen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That bottle of water is holding on for dear life
it really was
Brandon Herrera is 27
that checks out
Where is that ATF shirt from?
Aghhh, get otta my HEAD!
🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲
I have such a difficult time trying to find good courses of instruction with good instructors. I have taught CPL over 20 years, was in the Corps, been a private contractor, etc. and am always looking for good training to keep myself sharp but it is SO HARD to find. I talk to the instructors on the phone and that is usually enough for me to say, nope. So frustrating. Be nice if there was a website devoted to finding good training... Or maybe there is and I don't know it.
Mike are you on Rumble? Trying to go there also for great arms content since youtube started censoring basic arms etiquette
No knock raids: even Stalin's Russia had the courtesy to knock
Freedom of Speech! Make you look like a here or a weirdo.😎
rifle anderson arm 762x51 rf-85 treated.....
The guy pointed his gun a cops before they shot him
Is this podcast on Apple podcast app?
Why were you going to lose your channel??
I love how an "over pressurized" SLAP round is blamed for the catastrophic explosion, but it clearly states: "Saboted 50 BMG ammunition should not be used in firearms with muzzle brakes unless the muzzle brake has been specifically designed for such use." Build up from the polymer sleeve will eventually act as a plug in the barrel. Not getting this info out there will only lead to future accidents from others using these rounds in braked barrels. I hope it's just ignorance of these facts that this info isn't being spread about the dangers of SLAP rounds (I'm not perfect either and make mistakes) and not his ego.
Mr G&G is cool, too bad most of his new content is being put behind a paywall.
Clint, are those knock-nades you were talking about civilian legal? Or did you say no-knock-nades? That sounds highly controversial to me.
So, not only did Mike save your channel but he also saved CZcams - from themselves.
I was wondering why Mike was down for so long recently
Comment
Please ask Crowder the next time you talk to him why he needs the car to call his friends.
Boooooo
Almost hour and half with less than half a bottle of water
1:14:44 hey Clint I have 288 subscribers does that mean I can ask for a review Gun lol 😂
Damn changed 19 parts. Are there even 19 parts to the whole thing lol
