- It's finally time to collect my brand new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series! It's been a long time in the making but now the ultimate beast from Affalterbach arrives at @TheShmuseum after a collection outing with both the Pro and Roadster. What a monster!

It's been a long wait, with a number of delays with everything going on, but finally the Nurburgring lap record holder has arrived to join the garage. After buying the original AMG GT R about 4 years ago, I've driven many miles with my GTs including the GT R Pro, recently the GT R Roadster, and also buying the SLS AMG Black Series last year that has become an iconic member of the garage. It was only natural therefore that the GT Black Series would follow, destined to become a permanent addition and cover many thousands of happy miles in the years to come.
My particular car is in Graphite Grey Magno, a colour I have chosen as a fantastic base with my intention to carry out a full respray and transform it to the famous AMG Solarbeam yellow, as I always desired. In the meantime however, it looks desperately menacing, and is the epitome of "Batmobile" in the satin black.
Kicking off from @TheShmuseum, while I would have loved my SLS Black Series to be present for the occasion it is unfortunately still a week or so from returning, however the other two AMG GT models in the garage are perfect for the outing, and to get the trio together for a full look at how they compare.
There's a lot to come with the journey of this car, it's going to be quite a ride and I cannot wait to share it with you!

@@vincevanderperre8660 Have you heard the new Koenigsegg Jesko?it has a v8 ,flatplane and sounds like a high reving v10 , the flatplane is supposed to give it a more aggressive sound ,its not the flatplane crank thats the problem but opf (sound regulations)

Tim said he was going to do that ASAP, although to be honest, it wasn’t that bad listening to it through the video, but I imagine when you’re in the car, it’s quite terrible. A lot has been made about the GT BS’ synthetic engine noise.
@@speisequark2 Yep, apparently flat-plane crank engines while they offer great performance, they’re relatively quiet. So AMG like with BMW M, have piped in enhanced engine and exhaust noise through the cabin speakers. Even the A45S has it. There are microphones in the engine bay to make it happen. But BMW M, from what I heard, do it much better, because they’ve been doing it for longer, since the i8.
the Problems are EU regulations which limit every performance car concerning the exhaust sound and emissions. I guess Mercedes had fear that their costumers would be unsatisfied with the natural sound it makes because the AMG sound was so much better a couple of years ago. I am sure that Mercedes would have made a hell of a sound if they would have been allowed to do so.
Great to finally see the GT black series on the channel! We’ve been waiting forever. It looks absolutely stunning!! I must say, the graphite grey does compliment the cars aggressiveness but the solar beam yellow is going to allow it to really pop in the midst of your garage!

It looks mega! However, for me I still prefer the GT Pro - it’s the second nicest looking Shmee-mobile, with the Ford GT leading it in my opinion (so sad to see it go).

Well obviously the SLS is gonna be outmatched in every way, despite similiar power numbers.
@@NtoTheM the sls was way less serious of a track car. But its more beautiful (imo) and definitely sounds a lot better. Its more for the emotional drivers while the gt is fore the ones who want maximum performance.
Performance wise it will not even be anywhere close. The gt is in a whole other league.
