Why won’t my watch sync to my phone

Can you set alarms or timers on this watch to vibrate only? I prefer waking up to just a vibration and not a loud ringing sound.
It only vibrates. No audible ringing.

No, step count should be automatic. Maybe you got a defective unit.
Not in the instructions, but when you have "raise wrist" display disabled, is there a way aside from pressing the crown, such as tapping which doesn't seem to work, to get the display to illuminate
Why doesn’t it show heart rate all the time ?
The default is to provide you that information on demand. You can from the menu activate continuous, obviously at the expense of battery performance

You cannot. It pulls the time from your phone so you must pair it.

I'll pull it off the stack in the morning and check it, but I believe it has the SOS feature...but that will call whatever # you define as your SOS #.
