    The PRIME 4+ is a refined and enhanced version of the original. You can think of it as a PRIME 4 MK2, rather than a wholly new product or concept. It’s been refined, rather than redesigned.
    So what’s different about the PRIME 4+? Classy new aesthetic updates. The inclusion of Amazon Music. And later this summer... the inclusion of realtime stems.
    The public beta for this is going to be open in a few months, and will initially be coming exclusively to the PRIME 4+. As DJ software has quickly trended towards stems, there has been some question as to whether this would be coming to any standalone hardware. And of course, Denon DJ is just the company to unleash this to the DJing world.

    thank you for review ! 👍-- stems only in display ?LC 6000 Prime not have steam,no ?as a recommendation is it worth buying now or should we wait for the next version 5?the difference is only the matte color and steams on display vs prime 4?I ask because the price is quite steep, if it came with the virtual dj pro software...anyway, at the present time, the 4-channel console has no competition for what it offers.

      @@djstuc sounds fine by me. I started on decks, dragging 3 turntables, mixer and 5 crates of records everywhere. I happily drag my beastly NS7's to gigs without complaint. There is a huge market for motorized decks even if it doesn't seem appealing to the mainstream. That's why different products exist. In Music made the Rane One using the numark TT motors just like on the NS7's, so I just hope for one more Mashup where I get a motorized controller running Engine. :)
      Until then I will keep using the NS7iii/serato.

    I'm considering moving to the Prime ecosystem. Does anyone know: if I put a SATA drive in this thing, how do I transfer new tracks to that drive? Can I transfer from USB or do I have to take the drive out to load them onto it?

    • @DJSILKWOLF
      @DJSILKWOLF Před 7 měsíci +1

      As far as I understand from doing it on mine: You have to transfer songs to the Denon Prime 4+ internal drive via usb hooked up to a computer. There are no options for 'copying' songs/folders/playlists etc from a USB drive to the Internal drive or vice versa. You do not need to remove the drive though.. it simply shows up as a drive when you connect a laptop.

  • @IcemanTheDj

    There is no "The Best Standalone DJ System"! It depends on dj's needs, workflow and occasion!!!
    Is this a great product? Yes. Sure!
    Personally, I don't like the layout and I don't agree with the buttons with multiple functions. I also don't like controlling the length of a loop with an encoder. I want to press a button whenever I need to halve the loop especially from 1 beat down. You don't have precision at short times with that encoder. FX on/off is not close to the wet/dry level... And these are the main reasons why Denon players have not yet replaced Pioneer players despite the more advanced technology! Implementation is not ok. Under the stress of djing on a stage, you don't want that screen to respond to touches by mistake. That's why on the Pioneer screens you have to press, which indicate the presence of the intention to activate a function, or make a selection! Or press a pad thinking you are in hot cue mode while you are in pad fx or beat jump mode...etc. Of course, when you make a mix at home, there is no pressure and it's ok. Besides, my setup at home consists of Kontrol S4 mk3 and two F1, so I'm not necessarily a fan of Pioneer, especially in terms of costs. But I prefer them when djing at an event with a large crowd, where the light is weak, etc... So to the expression "The Best Standalone DJ System" you should also add "for me"!
    Sorry for the long comment and I hope I didn't offend anyone and anyway, this is my personal opinion!. I wanted to highlight the different needs depending on the event! I've been djing for over 25 years and I've been to both festivals and weddings, corporate parties, barbecues with friends, etc. and there are different situations with different needs! The problem is that everyone judges from their point of view and if you haven't mixed in all scenarios, it's easy to misjudge the other scenarios!
    Cheers! 😉
