- After giving birth to her daughter, Amelia, started on a health journey that led her to raw milk. She soon realized that she could also help sickly and orphaned newborn calves with a cow giving good milk. This gave her a great idea, a nurse cow program built inside her micro dairy herd. She now can wean 3 or 4 calved and sell them for a profit while also selling milk herd shares to the people in her community. It is the ultimate back up plan while maximizing farming profit. She is growing her farm slow and steady to build a long term, successful, business. We definitely want to follow up in a few years to see her progress!

That’s my best friend, she is rocking it! Thank you for bringing such awesome little farmers out for the world to see! Amelia has so much knowledge about so many things regarding all things animals, she is always my go to for any questions around the farm! Loved the interview!

So proud to be a part of her awesome journey!!! You go girl!!!
And Justin is so right, I bet she could take Ronda Rousey lol
She really is so awesome!!!
This is my way of thinking
❤️
Quicker to use a CMT paddle and solution than monthly testing for knowing if you have a quarter with mastitis. Taking an aseptic milk sample, striking it on a biplate or triplate, reading what grows, determining the approppriate therapy-can ALL be done ON FARM!
To test for mastitis, yes. But cows can have a plethora of pathogens in their milk not detected with a CMT test that are strictly shown with mastitis. We test for coliforms and scc that can have nothing to do with mastitis. We make sure our milk is safe as possible for consumers. I'll also add that an on farm lab is in my future, just not right now
Love fresh milk and I make butter my favorite
Nothing better!!
Interesting video
Thank you so much!!
Very impressive! Sure would love to be close to her!❤xo
Yes!! Thankfully, we are seeing more dairies like this popping up!
More frequent paddock moves with longer recovery time would build soil, forages, and increase their animal units that their soil can support.
The animals eat the most palatable forage first and benefit from smaller paddocks with more frequent moves.
Greg Judy Regenerative Ranch youtube videos show how to set up water lines, exterior fence and interior fence for daily moves.
Oh absolutely! And she knows these things but it takes time to get started. She says that she is working her way to be more regenerative but doing what she can now. ❤️
Love that shirt
Which one? Haha mine is very comfy and great on a hot day!
if you have a nurse cows, then they are a graduate from cows
