Maybe he doesn’t want another love even if he desperately needs one, because he knows that things will never be the same with anyone else as they were with his first. Maybe he learned love with her and anything other then adoration of her wouldn’t feel like love. Maybe he looks in the mirror and hates the face he sees because he blames himself for letting her slip away. so many emotions and feelings are placed in this song, most of all by the end...'she leaves me with no warning'...the way he ends it, you know he has even more to say you can feel that he held up words back, that feeling and the pain related to it just breaks you up. at times you know that no matter what you do or say makes no difference and you keep those emotions locked up. you fell that saying about it or expressing it makes no difference so you drop in a sudden silence and keep it all in. how you feel about someone when you love them and they start to ignore your existence and the things you do for them and when you truly love them and they decide to leave you then it makes sense , i'm a tear drop in an ocean of flames.
