Most definitely are. Doctors too. If you find Dr or nurse still practicing into their 60s now they have seen the recommendations change and realize the blatant stupidity of many new regs.
Kinda makes those "anti vaxxers", from back a few years ago, seem like child's play, huh?
I’m Buddhist… working with chakras…. Do not stare at the sun.
Good advice.
There's doing cultural / religious rites and then theres... being self-harming stupid.
Then there's MY God's sweet insistence that I use common sense AT ALL TIMES or They don't want to be ass ociated.

If you have a healing gift? Why are you here?
@haloharry97 bc ppl are dumb; most know zip, zero, nada about the body they occupy. And ppl aren’t logical.
Right! Or why can't they heal their eyes?
Probably some crap like they cannot use it on themselves
Doesn’t work on herself, maybe?
Gee, wonder why…

Tell her to stare at the sun with her eyes closed for better charging abilities
something tells me she would believe that
Right? Sun gazing is a thing, just don’t stare directly at the sun! Close your eyes or look at something else.
@@Abstract_zx can you tell I used to work with dementia patients?
I’m an optometrist. Sorry to tell you, you can still burn your retina staring at the sun through closed eye lids. Had a patient do this for at least 15 minutes and she noticed blurry vision afterwards.
@@kitana097 Stop!!! Don't save them 😂😂😂
I am a pharmacy student and had a lab last December. I accidentally got some hydrochloric acid gas in my eye, my eye didn't stop hurting for hours and I had a red dot in it. I was told to just wash it with water and move on but I totally became paranoid and my eye was hurting the whole day. My mom told me to go to the ER to get it checked. It was just a superficial damage to the cornea for which I had to take eye drops. But I was freaked out because I thought that I had done permanent damage to my eye and then there are people who are staring at the sun. By their own choice. The irony
Yeah they sungase some believe sun is all they need instead of food
So glad your eyes are okay!!! And I feel that, I helped a friend clean a very dusty room last week, and as soon as I got home I flushed my eyes with saline solution and used the hydrating eye drops my ophthalmologist recommended. Used them again before bed and then in the morning when my eyes were still itchy, I flushed with saline again and then did the drops again. Didn’t wear contacts for three days just to let them do their thing. Crazy that there are people wandering around staring at the sun and sanding furniture without glasses/ goggles like eyeballs grow on trees
You know, I miss the days where I could believe that these situations were made up just for skits and not likely based on real events.
Like saying bob9dys THAT stupid.
Then to find out there really is a sucker born every minute who will grow up to be just as gullible as the day they were born.

Crazy world we live in, huh? 😅

Ain't no way. Just glancing at the sun for a few seconds hurts my eyes, nevermind 10mins wtf
I assume it'd get easier to look for longer periods if someone does it regularly.
Since they're slowly going blind.
I've done it a few times for about a minute max, but only at dawn.
Hell, turning my phone on at 3am causes me to recoil
Well you’re also probably blue eyes
Oh my Yes I have met many people who work in the metaphysical practices and boy do they get things messed up.
"fooled by the medical system" then why are you at the hospital??
I remember people doing exactly that over COVID.
As a human who practices Buddhism…no your chakras don’t need you to stare at the sun. Please don’t do that 😂
What does Buddhism have to do with chakras?
@@kensalter It's originally a Buddhist concept before New Age spiritualism made it weird.
Witches have more sense than to stare at the sun for 10-15 minutes daily.
I was looking for this comment lmao. I can’t believe any sensible witch working with chakras would stare into the sun like what

Tell her to do stare at the sun at night, maybe she'll buy it
or with their eyes closed
shes charging the wrong eye.
.... dude, don't call me out like that. Just give them a quartz tell them it'll help heal them as long as they do what the optometrist says. It's silly but it's a loophole to get them to listen.

Nahh then they'll pass that shit onto their children. Let them go blind.

Is anyone going to tell her that if she wants to stare at the ‘sun’, she can do it at sunrise or sunset when it’s just beyond the horizon? Does the same thing without burning your eyeballs 😂😂
Even the witch doctor would tell them not to do that.
Until part 2 ... 😂
I remember when I was little, we kids would amuse ourself like that - stare at the Sun for about 30 seconds and then when we stopped everything would be dark around us like we were blind, it was so cool. But if 30 seconds did that I don't know what 15 minutes would do😂😂😂
A DAY!
Haha I used to like that too aa a kid. Sometimes see those dark spots for a while (even just staring at a light bulb for a bit) and it was cool to see.
Get that person a psychiatrist too

"My friend the witch doctor, he taught me what to say..." Thanks for that, chey.
😂😂😂
My brother had to go to the ER once because he was in High School welding class and decided he could do a "quick weld" without his helmet and just look away, he burned one of his retinas and had to wear an eyepatch for a few weeks.
I saw an old Portuguese guy at an auto shop welding shit bare eyed. I have no clue how blind he was tho
The activity that causes flying sparks damaged his vision?? Who saw that coming? /s
@@thaloblue I'd say the worst part isn't the sparks or bright light... It is bright invisible UV light from the arc. Which also reflects pretty well from walls and stuff, so even if you don't look directly at the arc, you still can get welders eye.
@@Alex-mj7km yea, it's also why you need to wear proper ppe like a welding jacket and cover your neck. The UV can cause essentially a sunburn and repeated exposure can cause melanoma
Please tell me this isn’t a reenactment of something that actually happened 😭

Apparently the “healer” can’t fix their own eyes
“You’ve been brainwashed by the brick and mortar medical industry” then why did you come to the ‘brick and mortar’ modern medicine ER ma’am 😭😅
As a witch, I recommend to NOT STARE AT THE SUN
"I'd like a second opinion "
"Your breath smells, too!"
She says they're Brain washed but yet she still comes to the hospital for help 😂
Your chakras may need it but your retinas definitely don't. Have fun with your new "doctor".
Witch doctor: ooh eeh ooh ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang
BAHAHAHAH😂😂😂
I’d call Psych in on this one. They’re a danger to themselves.
Meet them at their level and sound just as crazy.
State that youre a healer too and you pursued medicine because of your gift so its cool to meet another healer.
Make up a morning routine similar to theirs. Since this patient stares at the sun, you could say your morning recharges are sunbathing for 10 minutes with your eyes closed and sunglasses to protect your eyes. Remember how sensitive the third eye is to energies, your regular eyes are the same and need to be protected from the intense power of the sun, so if you slow down the absorption of the suns energy through closed eyes and sunglasses, it helps significantly.
Tell patient that an optometrist may help heal their eyes so they can try your routine and see how much better theyre able to absorb energy and heal others.
Slowly leaking in the logic might make them more susceptible to your help. Depends on the person though
An ER nurse once told me that they can't fix Santa's broken ankle if she keeps insisting he isn't Santa.
Kinda makes those "anti vaxxers", from back a few years ago, seem like child's play, huh?
There's holistic medicine, then there are these nutcases who give the entire concept a bad name. smh
Holistic -- yeah, it burns a hole in your retina!
No way she came to the ER.
Remember: if your scam doesn't work, just accuse everything else of being a scam.
Says a lot about society
At that point I'd just recommend looking at the sun with some sort of eye protection if no isn't an option
*Calls allan*
Allan:"Where are you?!? It's supposed to be your first time coming to our dnd group!"
She's talking about sun gazing, which is recommended that you stare at a sunrise or sunset for 10 to 15 minutes. But experts advise against this since it can damage the retinas.
I always figured it meant to stare at the sky around the sun not the sun directly lmao
@@Theherbalempress I do believe the monks who started this actually stare at the morning and twilight skies, and by the time the sun comes up, they don't require staring directly at the sun. Plus it's not really about the sun, it's more about taking time to appreciate every day, and taking time to slow down.
The blind would love to see, but the blindest are the ones who don't want to see

Weird those natural healing abilities didnt heal her eyes.
Please tell me this isn’t based on a true story
It probably is, many people believe in these things and literally die cuz of it
Welp guess they are going to be blind then
Yes, I have heard of something like this. People who stare at the sun for a certain amount of time for some odd reason or other, to gain strength or “nourishment” or something.
You can only imagine what people believe.
Sungazing is meant to be done with your eyes closed, you don't just stare at it 😂
It's asinine either way
I knew a girl like this LOL . She had all these weird stones to heal. Yet that nut job was always at the ER for everything , and she had more health issues than anyone I ever met . But stones ! Yes magical
The prettier the more powerful 😂😂😂 I have a sister like that except she refuses to go to the doctor. What I don't understand is how that patient ended up in the ER in the first place if they don't believe in medicine 🤦♀️
i'm betting that her daily blindness speedrun resulted to her having severe headache and possible nerve damage (well, nerve damage is already out of the table since her way of thinking and belief says otherwise lol)
Solar retinopathy is a thing, y'all.
SO many patients like this who reject “brick and mortar” medicine then seek it out in the emergency room. 🙄
There’s a safer way to “charge up”, y’know … instead of staring at the sun for 10-15 minutes; switch to staring at the moon instead (for however long you please), because moonlight is basically sunlight that is reflected off the moon, except it will NOT harm your eyes! Problem solved. 🙂🤷♀️
A witch doctor 😂
I wish I could believe this didn’t actually happen…but I don’t even believe you exaggerated.
There is a guy who shops often at my work, said some bs to me one day that he stares at the sun for hours, that it's healing and his eyes are fine. Dude also claimed to be the holy spirit cause he's died like 20 times and doesn't have brain damage, and that he know where's the devil lives (literally names a street in my neighbourhood, which is hilarious cause I work a city over) dude is wild.
How sad that he’s not getting the mental health help that he needs.
People lie. I bet it's seconds, if it all. Not hours.
Charming folks who come to the E.R. only to explain why they don't trust medicine. Whatcha doin' here then?
If this patient so "mystically powerful," why visit the ER??? 🙄🤔

Ophthalmologist = physician = MD
Thank you. I've been trying to figure out the difference and actually thought they were the same thing for a while lol
If the patient doesn't believe in the brick and mortar establishment then why is she in the hospital?
Just like the antivxx crowd going to the hospital after they get covid.. 🙄
Never thought I’d say this, but perineal tanning is better than staring at the sun

I watched this thing about a guy who did this, he was called a sun eater or something. Claimed he didnt need to eat food. Just stared at the sun. Sure. Bet this is about him.

Why is this person going to the ER if they don't believe in medical science?
Some people are beyond help
"brick and mortar and the medical industry" .... And yet you still came in...
Staring at the sun is only advisable when sun rise or sun set, the intensity is lowest than noon, peak of the day
That's what I understood too with the sun gazing
No, he needs to see an opthamologist. An optometrist will determine if he needs glasses.
The optometrist will diagnose what the damage is using their suite of testing machines and then refer them to an ophthalmologist. Diagnosis and then treatment.
The optometrist will determine and explain to them how and why their eyes are damaged to hopefully convince them
Yeah I was able to be diagnosed and treated for a Corneal Ulcer by an Optometrist last year, which I also didn't know Optometrists were able to do!
RN here. These folks eventually end up in the ER at 3am. My saddest story is a woman who tried to heal her (very treatable) breast cancer with essential oils until it was too late.
A relative trusted a doctor online to treat his cancer. We live in Boston with many good hospitals! So sad.
At this point - just let her do it. She obviously wants to go blind
Why didn't she just go to her witch doctor if the first place? 🤦♀️
I am willing to bet that "witch doctor" is some delusional hippie trading new-age platitudes for weed money.
Staring at the sun for to long could make you go blind very quick but if you look at the moon you don't go blind
