Paul Dano is such a versatile actor that he just blends in with the "Please Don't Destroy" crew.
probably why he was casted to play them in the movie
I hope he pops out from under the couch again in like 6 weeks
He's just ubiquitous.
@@louismaldarelli7053 🤫
Or because they’re all weird looking white dudes
paul dano looks more like an snl writer than those three guys
Because he kinda looks like Ben. And I wouldn't be surprised if it came out that he was one of the many celebrities who either auditioned for SNL and got rejected or was offered the chance to be on SNL and turned it down for whatever reason. Also, his name sounds like the name of an SNL writer turned cast member.
Seriously though, half the shots he was in I didn't realize it was him... I just thought he was one of the 3 guys 😂😂
Lol I couldn't even distinguish him from the please don't destroy guys for most of the video
Well, he is researching for that role.
he is just a very good actor
I love how Paul Dano’s characters can be both creepy and ridiculously funny
And he’s right; they’re boring writers and SNL needs to stop trying to make them happen. Wondering if they’re nepotism hires, bc Lonely Island they are not…
@@ccinSFfruitloop what are you talking about
@@ccinSFfruitloop you don't get hugged that often, do you ?
OMG, he freaked me out in the movie. Totally.
@@ccinSFfruitloop I definitely agree they are trying for that "SNL digital shorts " style, but I like it. I think they're funny and creative, and I'm always excited to see what sort of nonsense they come up with.
There are so many wonderful little details thrown into this, just seconds flashing by - like them looking through their cash stash, the photo of Paul Rudd, just randomly smashing bottles. So much packed in, all while having great use of Zoe and Paul Dano too. Very creative.
2:07
My favorite 😁
2:00 “WAS I PETTING IT!?!?…”
Also Gabriel Iglesias in the poster of "Three Boring Writers"
It's like an Arrested Development episode distilled down to 3 minutes.
the photo of Paul Rudd addressed to John Ben and Mark, instead of Martin lol
The bizarreness of the ‘Please Don’t Destroy’ sketches is what makes them so great
Take away the over-the-top camerawork and these sketches are less "zany" and more just corny.
Bizarre? If you want bizarre SNL skits involving pets why dont you try looking up Massive Head Wound Harry. Its actually hilarious unlike this
Yeah it’s straight up goofy silly comedy😝😝
This feels like a cooperate company trying to recreate old Smosh videos, but not very well
@@jwilliams9334 yieah.. all the did is bring in the zoomer comedy, aka crazy camera panning and zooming, loud =funny. And now kids relate to this kind of humour more
There is nothing bizarre here. I'm sorry that's the limit of your imagination. These skits would be thought clunky in a high school review.
These guys can get Al Roker and Taylor Swift and Zoe Kravitz in a video, but Snugglebucket?! They truly outdid themselves
Well that's what happens when your parents are producers on SNL
@@trillconfirmed wait really? Whose parents?
@@jwill294 at least two of the kids from Please Don't Destroy have parents who are longtime SNL producers. Fortunately they're funny, but just another case of blatant nepotism
@@jwill294 maybe it's just one of them idk but he holds a lot of sway at SNL so no surprise his kid's comedy group is on there
@@trillconfirmed I'm not a fan of nepotism, but you can't really complain when the ppl profiting off it are amazing at their jobs
The “why did we ask for the smallest and fastest cat they had!?” has me in literal tears
Paul Dano is so funny in this! I love how casually he sells the whole joke about him living under the couch. And his delivery of "It's about three guys who suck!" is great in how cheerfully mean it comes off.
The poster with him and Gabriel Iglesias solidifies it 100%
1:17 “John Check the shelf”
“Checking the shelf!” *pushes everything off the shelf and destroys it*
“It’s not on the shelf”
I love their sketches so much 😭
On the shelf there was Jiffy Lube and JC Penney's hard seltzer.
@@jaredtolliver4526 really?!?! That’s awesome 😂😂😂
Omg!!! I was crying!! 😂😂😂 Is this a sketch series? It’s the first time I’ve seen it, but it was so ridiculously funny.
@@ChrissyBeTalking the do not destroy guys have had one sketch each episode for awhile, there pretty great I would check them out
@@lucygarrett9785 Thanks! Will do.
Love that Paul Dano just popped in and out of this sketch.
It may not be as random as it seems: after all, Zoe is Paul's wife.
@@yorickstrangefield2976 Wrong Zoe, he’s married to Zoe Kazan, not Zoë Kravitz haha!
@@ChocolateBar1234 All Zoe's know each other, so Zoe reached out to Zoe and mentioned that Zoe was going to be in an SNL sketch. Zoe, doing a favor for the writers, called Zoe to ask about Paul.
we got a cat a few weeks ago and the rescue folks came and delivered her to us. we spent the next several hours exactly like this, no exaggeration. screaming, finger pointing (you let her out!!!) , panic. of course the cat was in the one place we never looked at, the secret shelf under a tiny table in our living room.
Nothing like the joy a new pet brings. Lol
I once convinced myself that I had let one of my cats out……he actually had been hiding in a suitcase….
My parents and I also had this exact thing happen with an 8 week old puppy. We tore the house apart for an hour. After looking everywhere we started screaming accusations at each other, convinced one of us left the front door open even though it was never opened after we took him out of his crate.
We called to him, squeaked his favorite toys, etc and nothing. After an hour we finally heard a little whimper and found him in a place he should never have fit in. It took us hours to put the place back together.
One time I was taking a bath and I hear this very large thing in my bathroom bureau drawer (for real, old house, it was built in). I know it can't be a rat, because I've never had a rat problem, but in the back of my head, my brain is screaming RACCOON IT'S A RACOOOOONNNN! because years ago we had some living in the top of the garage, super hard to evict. I hesitantly go over to the drawers and I pull one out where I hear all the noise. It's my daughter's cat who went in one of the doors in the cupboard and then started crawling into the drawers - the drawer I opened, the cat was halfway in so he was getting squished a little when I pulled the drawer out. I pushed the drawer back in gently then opened up the cupboard door to see him backing his way out and back into the large open section of the cupboard. Thinking back, I had been rummaging around in the under-the-sink area for more shampoo, and I turned to put the shampoo on the tub edge. I shut the door. In that small time, the cat had snuck into the cupboard. That cat is absolutely ridiculous.
I moved to my BF's place with two cats. One went missing and we practically tore the place down, I was sobbing thinking he had gotten out and coyote food. We found him sleeping in a 4" wide FedEx box in the spare room...
An autographed picture of Paul Rudd holding a man ant is 1 of 100 highlights of this sketch 0:45 Love these guys! 😂
Even better is that Paul got Martin's name wrong
“No, it’s just a stupid dog!”
Dog whimpers
Ben slowly closes desk drawer with a sad look on his face…
And I'm so sure that that's Blueberry from the Badminster Dog Show sketch.
@@canaisyoung3601 no, I think it is Primetime from the Blue River dog food sketch 🙃
@@LC-le9ew Oh. But they look similar.
@@canaisyoung3601 You are probably right!
It has the same energy as Malk with the cat just randomly chilling in the oven.
The way Paul just abruptly exits back under the couch😂😂
“Was I petting it?!?”
“You worked so hard on it..🥺”
Both lines got me 😂
they need to bring Paul back for another "please dont destroy" skit, he fits the vibes so well
You know these “Please Don’t Destroy” sketch’s are just so random and are just so perfectly executed. These guys are truly shaping up to be the next Lonely Island!
Sketch’s? Seriously?
@@shiloughsimonhopwood3813 Are you just being pedantic over the apostrophe?
@@shiloughsimonhopwood3813 I looked them up on CZcams I haven't NOT laughed so hard in my life... Their humor is incredibly boring.
They're actually resurrecting the old SNL vibe. That feeling like when we had the Church Lady, Mr Peepers, Wayne and Garth, Colonel Angus, The Ladies Man, McGrueber, etc...
Nah they suck. No quality and they’re just basic. They are basically a bunch of 4th graders and who got hired accidentally.
These guys are the best recurring characters in years. Snuggle bucket disappearing all the time was both genius and pure stupidity. Zoe fit in so nicely there.🦇🦇
My would-have-been-words exactly.
@@folarinosibodu 👍🏻
They remind me of Lonely Island
Every kitten is the "fastest cat they have." This sketch is so accurate when you get a kitten.
The frantic typing on the computer when it has nothing to do with finding the cat got me
Honestly, I lost when I seen Gabriel Iglesias on the poster😂🤣😂🤣 One of my favorite comedians!
I thought that was really funny, too! Does anyone know who the middle guy on the poster is?
@@Stehako Looks like Martin Herlihy (one of the guys from Please Don't Destroy), but I could be wrong.
@@Stehako Looked like Justin Theroux to me.
That went by too fast . I think the audience couldn't see and appreciate it enough. It's bothering me.
Why did we ask for the smallest and fastest cat they had?!?!? lolol
This implies they got Tom Holland a man spider and Robert Pattinson a manbat, and the picture of chaos that's creating in my head is absolutely something I'm here for
They need to do a Paradigms of Human Memory/Curriculum Unavailable style riff on all the pets like that they got guest hosts.
"Was I petting it?!" 😆 great gems in this skit
These guys are absolutely killing it this season.
This skit was dumb..
@@lobaggins3328 Yup. That’s what made it good. Half of Snl these days is just them making politics refers trying to be funny. These guys are just doing their thing and nailing it
No, the cat, thankfully, remained alive.
@@stevefrank3599 these sketches aren't good this one sucked
@@lobaggins3328
Damn you guys are a tough crowd haha. Humor is subjective; just because you don’t find it funny you don’t have to shit on other people for finding it funny. Y’all are vibe killers out here
but the fact that zoe and paul got more screentime together here than in the movie
Well it is called The Batman…
@@jonnyleeconway i know i just would’ve liked to see them interact is all :)
@@valequintero catwoman didn't really have anything to do with riddler's plan. she just wanted revenge on falcone and after that she wanted to leave gotham
That's not true
These three should just have a sketch show by now. Easily the best thing on SNL these days! Another hilarious sketch!
I mean they are worse than both the lonely island and beck and kyle
The sketch is funny but without the fast editing their acting was kind of subpar
This wasn't hilarious at all to me and they seem very average
Weekend Update is the best thing on SNL lately, no contest.
"WAS I JUST PETTING IT?!?!" I'm dead 😂 These guys are hilarious!!
Watching Do Not Destroy, I get the same rush of happiness I did years ago when Andy Samberg digital shorts first aired like Lazy Sunday. Keep 'em coming!!
That's by design I'm pretty sure. For me, it's a little bit TOO close.
@@bobbydragulescu8914 For me, I can kind of see it but there are some big differences with their comedy styles. Andy and them were out there but they did focus mainly on music.
"I'm researching a new movie I'm doing, it's about three guys who suck!"
it's about three sad virgins :)
I love this chaotic cat energy 😂👏
How do they top themselves EVERY. DAMN. TIME? I love that they make us wait - it’s not a guarantee we’ll get one each week. Absolutely ups the anticipation!
My cat loved this sketch, we both laughed outloud and then I remembered I don't own a cat
Lucky you
Lol Dano looks like he could be in please don’t destroy
He should tell them his uncle is Frank Coraci.
02:37 "Goodnight guys" lol! 😂😂
1:02 “I got him, I got him” They literally just went over the fact she’s a woman cat.
I like to think Paul Rudd came all the way back for yet another week of SNL just to take the Man Ant photo
He basically lives in studio 8h, along with Fred Armisen, Alec Baldwin and Kristen Wiig
Or maybe that was done when they did the Please Don't Destroy sketch where the new COVID variant actually makes people's lives better.
He does live in Manhattan and has close friendships with the NBC & SNL people, he's probably just always down to participate when he's home and not off filming elsewhere

These are genuinely the best sketches, absolutely hilarious every week.
These sketches always go from 0 to 100 in a heartbeat lol.
Zoe wielding the huge animal net is the best!
how? Im really attempting to understand the appeal here
@@gozorak absurdist humor is always subjective.

Tiny cat. Confined space. Huge net.
These videos are the exact opposite of the conventional SNL sketches: fast, witty, and unexpected. Exactly what they needed!
Is that Taylor Swift voicing the cat?!
please dont destroy, zoë kravitz, AND paul dano? this is the best day of my life
Can we get the each person from the cast of The Batman to host each week? Ready for a Paul Dano round of sketches now and Zoe is KILLING IT.
Oh I’d kill to see Colin Farrell and RoBat BattinBat host SNL
they even have a good follow up idea for Paul, they could do a sketch about his movie (about three guys who suck)
My favorite one. I love how seamlessly the guests buy in and play along.
When Paul said, "Goodnight Guys!" and disappeared, I Died!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Paul Dano needs to host!
This sketch was one of the best I've ever seen on SNL. Granted it matches my humor preference 100% but that's beside the point 🤣
the pdd sketches are just so absurd. they're great
1:54 Fluffy!!! made it to SNL.
Everytime I see they put a sketch up I think, ok, one of them has to miss, there’s no way these guys are perfect but they are, they really are! Sooooo good!
Could be their best one yet. It’s insane how these guys had a never ending onslaught of jokes and bits while being confined in just one room. I get the Lonely Island comparisons, but these guys have a very unique and creative style.
what i think is a big part of their style is 90s to early 00s nickelodeon and cartoon network shows. that exact same overexaggeration, wackiness, and earnestness is on display in almost all of please dont destroys content. hell, they even reference spongebob in this one, when John is searching the computer for the cat, its a lot like spongebob's brain looking for his own name.
"Getting Catwoman a cat. That's a Purrrfect gift" is lowkey a great line too 😂
I want to be in a room when they presented the script of this truly GENIUS sketch to Zoë and Paul
As a cat owner, I feel this anxiety whenever I haven't seen one of them for most of the day. Especially since the younger of the two is an outdoor cat.
I love the fact that Paul Dano looks exactly like he would be a PDD member
pure genius. best comedy to ever come out of SNL. best comedy anywhere atm
I love when the coffee shop asks you to tip before they even make your drink.
Anytime you see Paul Dano you know you are in for a River Wild adventure heading into Deliverance territory. Love him.
Yesterday I thought I lost my kitten and after running around like a fool he just strolls out 🤣 I can completely relate to the losing your cat 😂😂
my cat was hidden in my closet.. so mood 😆
This is the sketch where I totally fell in love with Please Don't Destroy. It's also the first Please Don't Destroy sketch I have ever seen.
I love these sketches, and somehow I feel a little nostalgic when I watch them, they remind me of the type of humor that I enjoyed during my millennial-teenage years: early collegehumor, Portlandia and some webseries. Please don’t get rid of this section.
Paul Dano needs to host next 👍👍
This was a 3 minute emotional journey and I'm here for it! :D Usually SNL sketches can be a hit or miss for me, but PDD sketches are consistently chaotic and funny. Also, nice callback to the "appearing over the shoulder" gag from "Martin's Friend". Now I'm wondering if it was in previous sketches as well...
Deadass, when I heard the crunch, I screamed out, “NOOOOOO!!!”
This skit was filled with so much suspense!!! 😂💀
It's like a dream journal entry! This was so great!🤣🤣

They deserve the applause and excitement 💚
The craziest thing about this is that one of them got re-casted with Gabriel Iglesias.
@@daniellaker92 Justin Theroux

It’s the editing that really makes it work 👏🏻
As someone who works in an animal shelter, I died when they brought out the cat catching net 😂
The Riddler popped up! Lol I loved this skit. Paul Dano is a great actor.
Zoey saying Yay! And that doggie in drawer was EPIC twist! One of the best random skits on SNL
I dont even know how they come up with these but im glad they do
Cat's performance, 10/10!
I honestly don’t know why these make me laugh so hard, but they do. Keep up the great work! If I don’t laugh, I’ll drown in my own tears. 😂

I love the wild Paul Dano sighting🤣
Paul was such a fun twist man. Good job
words can not describe how much I love this
I love how in their sketches they always seem to forget the main point, like this time finding the cat and petting it without knowing the point so funny , so brilliant,
