Why not just make the blind spot alert a standard safety feature on 1LT/LZ too lol
My 2024 C8 2LT Stingray was ordered in July, Delivered Dec. 7th. I'm loving it. Great information on
this channel.
Great information. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Just make the car and get it out to the comsumer. What happened to the days when you could just go to the dealership and purchase a car. They are still talking about parts issue etc, this is a basic business tactic to raise the price, but I still want one as well, but I'm tired of waiting as well.
Yes there all pre orders!, but with interest rates going up , there might be more out there! In Canada there trying to cut inflation and raising the interest rates again, that will cut the demand. So it should make buying a corvette better.
I waited a year for mine. When you finally take delivery, it makes it all worth it.
Very well done. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Excellent information 🍻👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!
Excellent source of information. Like the format very much.
Much appreciated!
Just jump squad and I need that
The one thing that would get me to consider ba c8 over my c6 is adaptive cruise control. Seems it would be easy with the emergency braking systems.
Like the info, still thinking about buying
Its a great car. Check out some of my pricing videos. If you join the Corvette under MSRP group....they have lots of leads on new ones for below MSRP
alright big update just got done with Ron Fellows Z06 class. had a Z07 coupe with every option. All carbon fiber etc. They take off the CF wheels. The car is amazing. 130-150 on the straight. Track had 10 turns and even elevation changes. Only 1 person went off the track. Ive done stingray twice. The Z stomps them every category. Stay patient. There is a 5 mi car on craigslist Seattle.
Local dealer here has a rapid blue with Z07 new but want 225k for it. 170k sticker. I will wait for sure. Sounds like you had a blast. I have never done Ron fellows but might do it in the fall for the stingray if it is worth it.
They are insane to ask $225 for it and anyone who pays that is just as stupid. For that price, you can easily get a low mile Porsche 911 Twin Turbo that will run circles around the Z06 and won't have the poor build quality, the poor interior design as well as reliability issues!!!
Search CZcams on C8 Z06 problems and see how many turn up!!!
Wish the eRay started below $100K
Does seem weird they got so close to 100k and didn't just knock it 2k less to get the bragging rights of all this under 100k. Bright side all optioned up the price spread is no where near the Z06. Thank you for watching!
…right on…wonder the cost of full electric…that will be the absolute only car that will match the Tesla Plaid…
@@markme3259 the E-Ray won't come close to the plaid. This is more mclaren Artura and Acura nsx fighter. The plaid would need a full EV to come close. E-Ray would get gapped by bus lengths
@@JumpSquadAutohe said full electric…. Tesla is boring now unless you are talking cybertruck…
What I'd like to see is independent crash testing, so we could get an ANCAP score or Euro NCAP score.
They need to come back with the four trumpet
🎺🎺🎺🎺 exhaust pipes..
The C7 exhaust pipe would look great on the new 2024...
Z06 is back to 4 center exhaust exhaust
Do you know on the new Eray spoiler do the extra, small wing extensions come with the car. If you wanted to mount them on the spoiler?
It hasn't been disclosed to the best of my knowledge but the Z06 has that small extension wicker for the non z07 wing and actually has 2 sets so I imagine either will come with it or might be part of the ZER performance package. If anything its the same base z06 wing so that part number should work too
A spoiler is not a wing. Nor is a wing a spoiler. That is due to the fact a spoiler is designed to reduce turbulent airflow off the rear of an automobile (in this case) thereby resulting in reduced aerodynamic drag and improved fuel economy.
As to how a wing works it's really quite simple. For example: With the bottom side being curved (as on a car) the air flowing over it must travel faster than the air flow on the flat upper side which results in a reduced pressure area. And since nature abhors a vacuum, or is this case a partial vacuum, it results atmospheric pressure 'filling in' the underside of the wing area with positive (downward) pressure, thus creating downforce instead of lift as with aircraft whereby the upper source of the wing is a curved (airfoil) shape* and thus the airflow under the wing tries to 'fill in' the negative pressure on the upper surface resulting in lift. Birds employ the same principles and is how they're able to fly. That is when given enough speed via wing flapping (at east initially).
*A fair bit off topic here but there are wings which have symmetrical or nearly symmetrical airfoils which on the surface will make one question how they function although it's a topic for another time and isn't applicable in this case.
@@cassiespencer6134 Thanks Bill Nye
Love and Support always to one of my Top Sources and Reviewers on Corvettes.
QUESTION? I use the Battery Protection Package (OEM Battery Tender) always after returning to the garage.
Will the “Soft Closure Frunk Feature - a/k/a Automatic Hood Pull Down” have any effect on the charging cable?
The Rear Trunk Lid with the Soft Close Feature, will not close unless you Push/or “Drop” the trunk lid…. But you can leave a crack open if you want…. as you don’t want to pinch your charging cord!!!
Spoiler wise, a 2 Post Rear Spoiler would be better than a 4 Post.
Perhaps there is concern over the down force generated and flexing of the spoiler?
With a high spoiler and a short person, getting a bag of golf clubs in in out is a recipe for damage to the spoiler and paint IMO.
Thanks Kerry! The frunk question is a good one. I haven't seen or heard of anything around that unfortunately. Every review from doug demuro to straightpipes slammed it so it auto pulled down. Id hope they planned for a slight open option but we should know once the embargo lifts and they do a 2024 model press day. The 2 post spoiler is low. It is not as high as the high wing so will be more sturdy and easier to get things in and out compared to the current 4 post high wing.
Naw. I also use the cable and it’s designed to have enough clearance. Just make sure that it’s sitting horizontal and not vertical.
Just getting better and more expensive!!!
As long as its getting better while getting expensive unlike the TRX that has had base price increases of nearly 16k for basically the same truck.
@@JumpSquadAuto in Canada its always more expensive , but we make more on average, just that our cost of living is expensive!
They have a 2 post OEM for the stingray - it’s on the zo6😂
🤣🤣
The LT2 - four years without an update. By now, it should have BOTH direct AND port fuel injection.
Some many other manufactures have recognized the problem with direct injection ONLY. And, they have implemented the obvious fix.
Since tech is standard, I'm gonna invest in tech stocks more to help pay for all this extra tech! Other people's money lol
😂 need some way to pay all the GM markups lol
Does GM Really think those wide open rock shields in the front air intakes for the Radiators are going to stop large rock missiles from vehicle tires in front from damaging those radiators? Oh thats right they know you have to spend $500 for two stronger rock guards.
PLEASE what will be different in 2024 for the Stingray vs 2023 - no charge changes.
This video outlines the order guide changes. There are pricing changes I cover that were announced a little after this video was made that I cover on the channel as well.
That green interior is downright hideous.
I can't imagine anyone would spec it.
Is the wide-body the only option available on the C8? I do not care for it. The original body looks so much more refined and not gaudy. Great video by the way. Nice job. Very informative.
Thanks for watching and appreciate the positive feedback. The ERay and Z06 only come in the wider body but the stingray will come in its current not as wide body style.
@@JumpSquadAuto love the wide body
Safety package not security package!
Frunk soft touch and safety features is what I got out of this.
#GM #Chevy #Chevrolet need to address #radiator #protection grills, #rock #guard screen,at least until it goes all #electric #EV #California #Tesla
I do agree that the A-RAT-MISS or AR-TE-MIS (as we would normally pronounce it but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that was on purpose cause it's a nasty green and not really all that much green and while I'm on the subject... Cacti? Really? Here in Arizona the cactus is greener than this color.) isn't all that great of a color. I'm going to ask that the Corvette purists to please stay away from this car. You don't want electric front drive, or the stop start function. It just isn't a real Corvette. This way guys like me that want the E-Ray will have a better chance of getting one at MSRP!
haha I appreciate the benefit of the doubt. English is not my first language so uncommon words still get me lol. Good catch. Be on the lookout for Cioccas process for E-Rays as they should be MSRP and a large dealer who haven't started a list yet
I hope they make a Corvette SUV
bahahahaha
Really 😂😂😂
I was able to buy a C6 GS four years later I was able to buy a C7 Zo6 the C8 price’s I wasn’t able buy Zo6 this car isn’t affordable for me. Some my corvette brothers are saying the same thanks GM I get it you still sale a lot cars but not to people who help keep the car going when no one care.
So what about the transmission? The BIG WHITE ELEPHANT in the room?
Basically over a hundred k,,,
Stingray will still be well below that. My guess is in or around the 70k mark still
@@JumpSquadAuto not in Canada with our dollar,, over a hundred k,, plus luxury taxes, not sure if you get taxed ,,,20-25k
@@howardmenkis5252 snap. yeah forgot the exchange rate in canada is crazy and they jacked up prices a few months back for canada. We get a 7% sales tax in my state and then use/excise tax of a couple thousand a year but varies by state
@@JumpSquadAuto ya in BC we have a luxury tax of like 20/25 on cars over a hundred k
But we do sell the most expensive sports cars here in North America!! Tons of fancy cars here , so the Corvette is right at home!
I would love to see factory lamborghini doors on this new c8 corvette z06
This is the reason why C6 Z06 are worth so much because C8 and c8 Z06 are out of reach they used to be a working man's car no more.
Will you marry me sir I love the content
Lol umm thanks. I'm taken sorry.
The Corvette looks like a Ferrari made in China
🤣🤣🤣
This comment is not wrong. Someone took a big dump on the identity of the Corvette.
too much talking
