Our 2023 3LT HTC non-Z51, performance exhaust, magnetic ride, front lift, carbon flash painted top, nacelles, mirrors, low spoiler, side blades, and many other trim pieces along with black splitter and rockers go very nicely with the Arctic White exterior. 2 tone (red/black) interior is perfect. We found this vehicle in a local dealer’s showroom with 5 miles on it, it was the exact vehicle I built on the Chevy website except I initially wanted the ceramic gray matrix because the 2020 coupe I drove when they first came out looked very good. When we saw this one it looked even better. The dealer listed it online for MSRP but when we were presented with the paperwork there was a $20,000 markup. We walked out and 2 days later they called to offer it at MSRP and and additional $1,800 on our C6 trade in. That was on 08/10/23, when we parked it for the winter, due to my emergency hip surgery, on 10/29 we had 2,210 miles on it. Every option we have on it is worth the money, we will never track it and the C7s I drove with the summer only tires were horrible below 50 degrees. We drive our Vette until there is salt on the roads, the top is always down unless it’s raining no matter what the temperature. Very good video, thank you.

Have had my 2LT Coupe for 1 month and you are totally correct with rear mirror camera. It is essential to get as you can’t see squat behind you with just the mirror. This should be on ALL trim levels for safety.

For me, it is the Heads Up display that feels like a racket on this car. Having to go up $10-15,000 in price, just to keep the car on even features with the C5Z and C6Z, C7 even, just a deal killer. If it was even something you could get aftermarket, they would sell 25% more entry level C8, but the cut out of the dash, is just too different. You really need to buy with HUD, because that is just silly, to be out-classed in such a basic feature by a C5 base model in some cases. Shame.

Great video - I just received my 2nd C8. I had a 2020 coupe and ordered it as soon as it came out. I went 2LT and no Z51, but front lift. No regrets at all on that build, but I then ordered the 2021 HTC and in my opinion that is the way to go. I rarely ever drive with the roof on, and the fact that you still have a trunk with the roof down is big. With the coupe and the roof in the trunk the trunk becomes almost useless, plus if you go somewhere and need to lock it up, putting the roof on by yourself wears thin after a while. As for me I feel the best way to go is -
HTC, 2LT, non Z51, front lift, no mag ride, level one seats, factory wheels whichever one you like best, and then drive it. It was meant to be used, and enjoyed. Ty!

Absolutely great review! I have the ‘21, HTC Z-51with 3LT and GT3 seats. I went with torch red exterior and natural dipped interior and love it! The seats were tight at the beginning but have become really nice after a few months. The only option I did NOT get was the front lift. I’m really glad I didn’t even though it’s cool. I haven’t scrubbed the front in the 7 months I have had it and haven’t had any issues.

I was really torn on z51. I knew the non-version was faster in tops speed, but I thought of getting the z51 for the better camber profiles that some say help the understeer at bad angles and for the looks and sound and slightly faster 0-60. Now I know it's not crucial for non-tracking. Thanks for clearing that up.

Nice vlog. I am a C-8 owner without Z-51, however I have performance exhaust and 2LT. If you opt out of the Z-51, you do not need the front lift (my C-8 has more clearance than my C-6 had) because there is no low hanging front splitter and no need for mag-ride because the non Z-51 has a perfect setting for average driving. That is over $10K in savings. Now you can upgrade wheels, seats, interior, carbon fiber and personal taste items that make the C-8 really fun. Of course if tracking the C-8, Z-51 is a must.

However, if you intend to track your car then I feel the Z51 package is a MUST have option. I’m on the fence with selective ride control. I may forego that option. The one option that wasn’t mentioned was the body color exterior accents. This is totally personal preference certainly. I just feel it gives the car a cleaner finished look. Part of the Z51 package is extra cooling, and that is a big plus for any car if you are in a hot climate, even if not tracking. Z51 will also help your resale. I went with the HTC 2LT with Z51, mag ride and FEL and absolutely love every aspect of the car. That said, if my budget didn't support any options, I would have gladly gone with a 1LT coupe with no options, because it's such a great value and for street driving you'll get 95% of the performance anyway.

Good video I bought a C8 HTC Z51 car but a 1LT. I didn’t order my car it just happen to be in the dealership when I was there. I had to have black and black interior. My car has red seats and red stitching so I was happy. I also wanted Z51 but the Hard top convertible was not necessarily an option I wanted but now that I have it wouldn’t buy a C8 without it. I personally think the HTC cars look more exotic top up or top down. I’ve had many soft top convertible’s and I never used them. But the HTC is awesome. I was forced to accept the 1LT car but I would have opted for a 2LT if I ordered the car. I’m happy tho this C8 is 95% the way I would have ordered it and I didn’t have to wait a year to get the car. I drive my cars hard and track them so the Z51 was a must. I’m definitely going to the Ron Fellows school in 2022. I’m also saving for a C8 Z06 but I will wait till 2024 to buy it. And yes it will be black.

@@markbaldwin9882 I have the yellow HTC with the red interior, black top, red calipers and I changed the mirror caps to red and it looks fantastic. I get compliments on the color combo every time I drive it. I’ve had a lot of red sports cars including Ferrari’s and Corvettes but I wanted something different you could see from outer space. Best decision I ever made.

@@sheneedsme Thanks on the feedback. In the past, I've not put too much importance on color, etc. in my past cars, but my current car is a 2021 Z4 with frozen grey exterior and red interior. I never would have chosen that combination myself (one reason is the paint job cost $3K) but it was what was on the lot. But I have really enjoyed having that standout color combination.

Great review! I never see the two-tone black and gray seats shown, which was my choice on my 21 ELB 2LT HTC, Non-Z51, Mag ride and front lift. Is the two tone black and gray just considered gray? I have been very happy with these options. I was concerned going all gray that it would show everything, this option has worked great and had a mostly black dash which I prefer.

I love all your videos. I will go with coupe as the top down is awesome but cant see. I know the buffeting is bad in coupe but I will take safety over looks. secondly, the magride is needed as it corrects suspension bounce over large tree roots or bridge connections ect. I have ATSV with mag ride and it totally smoothed out the large tree root that would always kick me around in my Golf R. Also watch Brink of Speeds video recently on this exact topic with camera footage of car bounce without magride.

I enjoyed the video. I purchased a 1lt in 2020 and have no real regrets. I am old school so the jet black interior was the only way to go. It's very practical and doesn't show scuff marks. The only option I can't agree with you on is the lift option. The car has a decent amount of ground clearance so unless you have a driveway with a nasty edge no need for this option. It just adds unwanted weight and complexity to the car. The two options I do miss are the automatic mirrors and rear view camera. I don't live in a area that has a lot of traffic lanes so it isn't a big issue. The rear camera would be nice for multi lane and city traffic. I bought the car for its performance so I opted for the z51 package and magnetic ride control.

You don't miss the HUD? I just can't get what would be my 4th Corvette without a heads up display. I am stuck at C6Z. I try to upgrade with every new series, but I can't afford it, without stripping the car down to below what I have. It's bad enough, I have to take a 10 horsepower drop to get to C8 ( I understand mid-engine go faster, blah blah) , but to lose the HUD, I would just feel fleeced.

Greetings … at 62 years old - we never had camera assistance for 50 years prior to this technology… We have eyes and ears.
My Stingray LT1 Z51 Coupe visibility is just fine. Try driving the ZL1 1LE. That’s the car that needs visibility assistance.imo.
Also , the C8 doesn’t need the front end lift. My GT350R is the car that needs it. I also have a GT3 with front end lift… it sits lower than the C8. The base seat in the C8 is far more comfortable than the other variants. Hope this information is helpful

Great job explaining the diffs on Z51 vs not. My current 2022 order includes Z51, but you made me think about whether I'd ever really use the track centric features. I like the idea of the performance exhaust and hp benefits as options. This will be my 5th vette and I've actually never tracked any of them. I did do the ron fellows school and enjoyed the track experience, so I may hang on to the Z51 just in case I get a wild hair and track the new C8. Dunno????

Also going vert as I seen some one say the glass with vents on the side is a pain to keep clean and water goes all over.

As to the Z51 and Mag Ride options. Weather you track the car or not, you are buying a car with a reputation for being a track car. One of the best in the world. It seems like a castrated Kentucky Derby Champion to me if it is not really able to be tracked. You are spending BIG money for the car spend a few bucks more and give it it's balls back.

Hi, my dealer in San Leandro, California called me on Thursday 9-16 and told me that my order is up and gave me only 1 day, meaning same day decision, to decide on the options.
So I ordered the 2LT, Front Lift and Mag Ride and Perf Exhaust and the new Rear Spoiler. Was not sure about the Front Lift and the Mag Ride, but hey, after 14 months of waiting, I just want to get it over with. Torch Red and Natural Tan inside with Tan Seat Belts. No upgrade wheels, just went with the stock wheels though. Feeling so relieved after putting the order in. Right or wrong. Partly thanks to this video and the comments, especially from Ric Ric about the Mag Ride, that I made up my mind on the Front Lift and the Mag Ride. I told my wife that we will use this new car to go down to LA to visit my daughter more often, and she seems to be OK with it. He he.

Does the GT1 seat give more clearance than the other seats between your legs and the steering wheel? In the still shot it looks like it sits a little lower or is at least angled differently on the front end.

After a lot of research and learning a lot about the C8 below are my order list and my reasons not to get some of the options that many buyers needlessly buy.
I did not order the Z51 package as I never track and I also saved $6,345.
Very relieved that I am also getting the Michelin all-season tires instead of the summer only tires that come with the Z51.
In my state of Colorado having the high performance all-season Michelin tires is a must and very necessary. Just the cold winter temperatures will ruin the rubber on the summer tires. So be smart and be careful when you customize your new C8.
I did not order the NPP, the Performance Exhaust, saved $1,195 and I do not need louder sounding exhaust. The standard exhaust sounds loud enough and sounds very sweet too.
I ordered the 2LT Coupe, it is the best value C8 model. 1LT is very basic and lacks many options. The 3LT is way over-priced and it just includes more interior leather.
FE2 Magnetic Selective Ride Control Suspension, I can customize my ride just the way I would like it depending on road conditions.
Also ordered the Front Lift. Very important option to add to save and protect the bottom of your nice C8.
I also ordered the GT2 seats plus the 2-tone option as I love how the 2-tone seats look compared to the all mono boring color.
GT2 seats with the 2-seats option is $1,890.
GT2 seats which is standard on the 3LT, but I still saved thousands by choosing the 2LT over the 3LT.
The exterior color I ordered is the fantastic new for 2022 Hypersonic Gray with the beautiful Sky Cool Gray interior.
These are my taste and I think it is a fantastic built.
A bonus hint ....do not order any accessories when building your C8 at Chevrolet, they all are ridiculously over-priced.
Wait till you get your C8 delivered and then order what you need from after market online.
For example, I bought the original Corvette mud guards for about half price on eBay. They sell for $255 at Chevrolet.

I understand that in 2 days, on 9/22/21, my order with Chevrolet should hit 3000, which means Chevrolet will let me know when the production week will be. Corvettes are taking longer time to be built these days due to parts shortage and possibly Covid. I hope China to go where the devil resides.
