Already Pre-Ordered :) i can't believe how people can't like this, i think the first Tomb Raider was the first game i ever played on PS1, those were the days... locking the butler of croft manor in the freezer and watching him emerge as an ice cube haha.
Haha. The closest we had to fast travel was the "Return" spell in RPG's (and all the various names it was given depending on the series) that sent us back to specific key locations but usage was limited to magic points so it couldn't be abused.
I hope this game turns out to be about lara and not just exploring tombs as that's why I've got it on pre-order as I am not a fan of the other tomb raider games but I like the idea of a reboot to get newcomers into the series and it looks amazing and I'm usually pretty critical when it comes to judging games after watching extensive footage on a title.
Personally, I hope this game does fantastically and gets sequals. I never liked the old games, but this one seems like it will be great, surviving by your wits and making the best possible use of available resources. After all, Tomb Raiders can't always rely on a pair of fully loaded pistols.
My theory: This, as a reboot, introduces us to Laura Croft, codename Naked Croft, who is trapped in a mysterious island. her adventure is only a test, and a training to prepare her to become the legendary "tomb raider". Thus, the government agency that somehow sent her there cloned her (in secret), giving birth to 3 clones of tomb raiders. One of them is Lara Croft, or Solid Croft. The other 2 will be revealed in the coming sequels
Can't wait! If it wasn't for Tomb Raider, we wouldn't have Uncharted. But if it wasn't for Uncharted, we wouldn't have a Tomb Raider reboot. What I am saying ladies and gents, each franchise benefits from each other. So there is no need for ignorants.
On the contrary, everybody can obviously tell that TR reboot adapted some of modern game play mechanics to keep it up date(modernization of the franchise)

I got the feeling everything's gonna be rebooted...either for the best or the worst.... other than that, I'm worried about today's games, they're either glitchy, or just rushed; Hitman 5 was rushed, some levels has some...inconsistencies; AC 3 has been rushed evident with it's many glitches, that players don't want to see; if they hope for this game to be successful, they have to take their time with it.
Lol this game kinda feels like pokemon games. First u can't reach other cities but then u do some puzzles (like dark cave) and get HMs so u can get past those obstacles that u couldn't past before ( surf, cut, strenght, surf etc.) I wish they could come up with more open world idea than this HM technique pokemon uses for years :D
Nope. I'm a huge Uncharted fan, but this game naturally beats recent Uncharted games. And not because I prefer it over Uncharted, just for the simple fact that it comes out after Uncharted... meaning it's going to be more advanced. However, if Uncharted 4 comes out, it may knock it out of the park.

Not sure what platform to get this on..prefer using a controller over keyboard (mouse is better for aiming though) but PC is way cheaper to get this game and better graphics, frame rate etc don't want to get my ass kicked in multiplayer though, against keyboard/mouse players.
And is there any proof that Tomb Raider influenced Uncharted? I mean I really couldn't care less, but Uncharted was heavily influenced by Indiana Jones. Similar they might be...

Yeah, because Uncharted had Skill Points in Story Mode and Fast Travel. *facepalm* If you really have the need to compare this game, Far Cry 3 is a better comparison.
