    Wow, what a great compliment you choosing us, especially since no one can say you didn't check out everywhere first. I think the long sometimes difficult process of immigrating here is a good thing for both NZ and the people coming here. Obviously it means we get great people and I don't mean that in an elitist way as there are paths to get in for people from most backgrounds, what I mean is we get the people who are determined to come here and are prepared to put in the effort, so they will be more likely to succeed here and are more likely to integrate. It also keeps out the elements of their countries they wanted to leave behind, whatever that may be. Another thing I'd like to say for people considering coming to NZ is that life here is pretty good, but not easy, it isn't a cheap place to live and we don't have the super high pay that you can find in other places, but it is not hard to be comfortable and there are plenty of opportunities to do better than that If that is what you wish.

    • @myronschabe
      @myronschabe Pƙed rokem +1

      There really is no digital nomad visa here just a visitor visa where you can stay a maximum of 9 months ( out of an 18 month period)( 3 -3 month visitor visa and you have to apply for each extension or fly in and out). They have recently made it much harder for foreigners who are not highly skilled ( meaning can't find people in NZ to fill the roles) to get work here. So this is not a country that you can 'settle in'...easily at all. Also be aware it is very difficult to find housing here unless you have the funds to stay in airbnb's the whole time. The cost of living is overall quite expensive but that is the case in many places at the moment.
      Visitor visa are not hard to get depending on where you are coming from ( I can't speak to the ease or difficulty about getting the extentions)...just be prepared for the above.

I own a 2 bedroom unit in Howick East Auckland and really need my space.... ppl are idiots these days so I’m after a proper house.... would still need a mortgage to upsize from an Auckland unit to a Wellington house.... hence why I’m thinking moving to a rural area in NZ or overseas.

      @@iatsd Bruh, check yourself before you wreck yourself. The advice she's talking about giving is logistical advice for the physical process of moving to another country, such as "don't bother bringing over any of your kitchen appliances because they'll blow up immediately if you ever forget to us a step-down converter." As she makes clear in every video where immigration comes up, she can't give any procedural advice about the application process itself other than head to the INZ website because it has everything you need, and don't stress out because all the officials are really helpful and friendly.
      There's more to immigrating than just getting a visa, and Tara has plenty of insights to offer on important things like what ammenities different cities have to offer and how to get acclimatised to Kiwi culture and daily life. The licensing requirement is about ensuring that migrants aren't getting ripped off by scammers who lack the necessary expertise to advise on the visa process, not protecting them from locals who can tell them which city offers the best bush walks. You're getting your feathers ruffled over nothing.

      If you apply for a temporary 3 year work visa it works out to be less than 50 cents a day. Which is a bargain. If you apply for residence that gives you the right to live in NZ forever. So again a bargain. Compare that to the cost of airfares for a 1 to 4 week holiday and the NZ visas are a lot cheaper per day.
