On the I-20, signature of parent or guardian and student is only needed if the student is under 18. If you are above 18 both student and parent signature is not needed.
How you got your message? On mail saying - You have chosen to have your documents delivered to the following location ? Drop box location
As per my knowledge your parent should only sign the I-20 if you’re younger than 18 years.

When did you get your visa like mine i got in 2014 and in 2023 i got renewed it! So am be able to get into dropbox!?? Cuz my agent was saying that if you’re under age WHEN you got you visa which i was 11 years old but I’d got the new visa now in 2023 may! So please please clear it for me?🥺

Hi all. I have a question regarding the funds in the i20. In my i20 it’s stating that I have shown my funds in the form of personal funds will that be an issue or should I change it to family funds. Please do let me know.

Ans: officer,I selected this university because one of my college professors in India suggested me as he completed his master degree from this specific university.
Also ofcourse the course concentration is entirely match with my undergraduation studies!!

Parents signature on i20 required only if the student is below 18 years
On the I-20, signature of parent or guardian and student is only needed if the student is under 18. If you are above 18 both student and parent signature is not needed.

I had my visa dropbox on the 15th (Friday) on the 18th it showed updated and created on the 18th and the status was Refused. On the CGI portal shows Passport received from consular section and is being processed for delivery.

Congratulations on your masters and visa approval ! I dropped my documents at the Hyderabad vac on August 19th. I have an existing B1/B2 visa. I’ve traveled a few times on it - one trip for > 3 months, 2 other times for around 5 months each. Never exceeded the 6 month limit. I’m not sure if long periods of travel are considered bad by visa appointments officers. I’m a bit nervous that I’ll get called for interview. If you don’t mind me asking, did you have prior travel history?

That’s not required, you can still carry if you want to be secured with it!

It's a late response but you just need to book an ofc appointment, not the consular one. Hope it helps

@@sahilm7329 I booked it last week. The process is that you have to book the Chennai slot as that's the only option available. If you've Dropbox then you can drop it any one embassy near you and collect it from there.

Hi Mehek, quite useful video. There are only few videos on this topic. I have chosen Mumbai VAC for getting VISA appointment, however as I stay in Bengaluru and Bengaluru is a paid drop-off location, can I submit in Bengaluru only instead traveling to Mumbai?
Yes you can! Check going to the VAC a day before and enquire! Maybe that can help you have clarity

You need to have an existing tourist visa and not expired.
