This was great, please play like this more! The steadiness in your sound without barely any vibrato really makes it sound strong! I haven't liked some of your other videos in the past because of some extreme vibrato or sound fluctuations going from piano to fff and back to piano in a very short amount of time. This was very pleasant to listen to, I'd like to hear steadier notes like this in future videos you make. Keep at it!
Thanks! A lot of times I use vibrato and extreme sound fluctuations because I think music needs to be expressive. I think a lot of people today just go for a good sound instead of being expressive. I'm trying to make things like crescendos and decrescendos more gradual and less jarring, though. I try to be a vocalist when I play, which sometimes means a sudden change in dynamic.
@@thetrumpetman Gotcha and so you know I do enjoy vibrato and crescendos and decrescendos, when music is expressive, it's when it's used unnecessarily and more than what's expected is when I dislike it because in my eyes it makes the musician seem disingenuous to the song they're performing. Not that I'm calling you or your work disingenuous, the fact you replied to me in a well respectful manner shows that you are genuine to your work and what you think of others commenting about it, it's when I see it elsewhere it makes me not want to continue listening if that makes sense. So keep it up, I enjoy playing along with the songs you produce! It's nice to know in this day and age that people are still active in playing their instruments, not many people do anymore after high school, I'm currently 27 and starting my own business continuing to play and I'm trying to get connected with my church in some way since most worship teams are basically rock bands, but there's a group that used a Flugelhorn mixed in with the band, played the main theme and then played supportive notes and the song is called "There is a King (live)" by Elevation Worship. I want to be able to implement that in someway, but it's been difficult. So please keep at it and be encouraged that you're doing well!
