    Tyler has a talent, no joke. With what little he knows about keys, scales, and intervals, he's still pretty good. Keep practicing, Tyler. I've been playing since I was 10, I'm 54 now, but still not 1% as good as Frank. IF you keep practicing, Tyler, you will be better than me in a few years.

    • @The_Toonimator
      @The_Toonimator Před 5 měsíci +5

      Well said. I'm in the same boat. I'm 52 I played by ear and am self taught since 30 years ago but didn't know any actual theory. Just figuring theory as I played a bunch of different songs by ear (like common chord progression and practicing chords on different scales or keys). This is the first time I understood actually what it was all about in 5 minutes. Key signatures and Intervals. Now I know to make it a point to practice this. The arpeggiating finger placement was nice to know too.
      I'm still learning how to play anything in any key or scale but I'm so rusty. I can't remember alot of songs that I use to. I thought it would be like riding a bike.

    I didn't realise that omegle had been shut down. There's always a minority that spoil things, and a veritable legion of militants looking to empower themselves by actively harassing and destroying stuff that they don't have the skills to create. Oh, by the way - your awesome - but you already know that.

    • @pieterviljoen1620
      @pieterviljoen1620 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Because Omegle would randomly pair people with strangers they (very) often ended up pairing up people with pscyhos, perverts or pedos, performing dirty acts, showing asses, and harassing the shit out of people. So this lead to some serious court cases which made the owner decided to terminate the channel.

    My first take-away from my first piano lesson (as an adult beginner) was to learn all the scales (and eventually arpeggios) in all the keys. And all the basic music theory of intervals and key/chord progressions was way more important than any of the other stuff we did in my lessons. A little music theory goes a long way!

    Being able to naturally pick up playing an instrument like this is a true talent. I have played violin for 17 years, and I still struggle to pick up tunes by ear. As an absolutely awful keyboard player, despite playing since the 80's (I believe I must be musically dyslexic, if there is such a thing) I just love composing, and today's gear and sequencers make it possible even for dyslexics, or idiots maybe, like me, to compose and sound half good. So, this is one of the coolest things I've watched in a long, long time. Loved seeing this side of Frank - it speaks volumes about him. And it is clear that Tyler is a natural (unlike me) and I'd love to see his progress in a year's time. Well done. This is what social media should be all about!

    Ok so I usually don't comment on videos, but Frank, I got a few things I gotta say.
    First, you're incredible in so many ways, and absolutely deserving of the love Tyler showed you. Super awesome guy by the way; I've never felt more like one of your "guests" by the way he reacted to seeing you.
    Second, you're soooo humble my dude. I'd go into detail but there's too much to cover. Just know that it's seen, appreciated, and beyond respected.
    Third, now I just really wanna meet you, haha. Like I already did, but after seeing this interaction, I want to finally set up my inputs with my keyboard and mic and actually commit to playing for people on OmeTV. I'm generally anxious about my playing but some of my jamming buddies think I should be pursuing it.
    Finally, I'm coming from the main channel video, and I gotta say: Frank, you should ABSOLUTELY buy a Lego set if you haven't as an adult. I also loved Kinex as a kid and, within the last few years, have really loved building a good Lego set from time to time. I think you would absolutely love the process and result, and I thought it should be said :)
    Much love for all you do, every video is a highlight of my day
    PS Shoutout to Harrison, seriously one of the best editors I've seen on this platform. Not only is it original, hilarious, and clean-cut, but he's also working with video gold, and I don't know how you separate the slag or "lesser" gold from what we see in the final product. Awesome work, and always appreciated.

I was hoping to find you on Omegle for long time, but now that it's gone, I'll try again on the new platform hoping to find you and enjoy music with genuine people.
