I had a 87 GTS and a 86 GT and for both, I had problems with starters :/ But I sooo miss my 87 gts. So fun to drive.
from what i understand, we all have them. everyone just does the mod and enjoys. really fun car.
what problems happen with the starter, and what’d you do to fix it?
Do you have the exactly application for this starter , I have put 3 starter , no one it fixes good, I need the exactly starter to fit on, I have a gt 86 automatic

@@biggirlsgarage8331 I just bought a lovely one last week. 88 Celica conv., new top, new lotsa stuff that the former owner worked on during Covid. Paid $7,500 plus $1,500 to ship it from Oregon. The AC doesn't work and I suspect it is b/c of the contact points. I will put a video up in a few weeks.

I would try to save those window trims before there’s nothing left to restore them I own 2 of these cars I’ve gone so many times to the pick and pull and these cars are coming hard to find there especially these small things for it
Absolutely. It hasn't been very difficult to find celicas however GTS are hard to find for sure.

I've got a 88 sx (Australian 3sge model) and I've found it hard to find parts for it, would you have any recommendations?
Pretty tough indeed. Engine parts might be easier to find from MR2 and Caldinas, but for body and interior it's tough.

New to car stuff, I got a 87 GT myself and want to replace the head unit. Is it a single din or double?
You can actually fit either. The original radio was double din (Fujitsu) but mine had a single din and a storage thingy. I installed a double din (Pioneer) and It fit perfectly, however if you want to install a single din that works too! Just make sure you keep the original adaptor bracket! That's the key!

If price is right, i don't see why not. They're awesome cars just understand it's an old car. Not EVERYTHING is going to work.
