How To Make A Springtrap Cosplay Head from Five Nights at Freddy's 3!

- Welcome to the full tutorial on how to make a Springtrap cosplay head from Five Night's at Freddy's! I listened to my amazing subscribers, and tried to make the perfect tutorial for y'all to follow and make the best Springtrap head you can!
I also constantly get asked this question: "how do you see through your masks?" I had to make an entire video on it, but still get asked the question. Basically, the eyes you see in the video are what I call "'show eyes". They have Velcro on the bottom so I can take them out and replace them with see through eyes. To make see through eyes, use mesh instead of white paint. I just use those eyes as display or show eyes to make the costume look more realistic. Hope this helps

What were the dimensions of the foam you used to do the triangles and such? I’m asking because once I measured my head, there’s a bunch of extra foam going up
Measure how long the foam sheet is. Divide that number by a high number like 7-10. Say the foam sheet is 32 inches long, divide it by 8 so you get 4. 8 is the number of triangles, and 4 is how many inches the bottom of the triangle is. I usually make the height about 3.5 inches tall. Mark a line at the midway point of the 4 inch base on the triangle (2 inches) and draw a line straight up 3.5 inches. Then just use a straight edge/ruler to connect it from the top middle to the bottom sides. Hope this helps 😁
can see when you put it on and btw it looks so dam cool
Yes, and thanks 🙏
Thank you!!

I know his is better, thanks for pointing that out 👍 But my goal is to show how to make them while on a budget and as cheap as possible. Because I myself aren't rich either. And yeah add elastic
This is awesome! I do have a question though, do you have to wrap it in a second layer of PolyFoam or can you just use one roll? Thanks!

That's awesome!! Glad it can help 😁
When wrapping the head with a second layer of foam, do you have to do the triangles again? I’m starting my springtrap head today and just wanna make sure ^^
You could either do the triangles, or cut a piece of foam into a circle, mold it on top of the dome on the base layer, and trim the edges
@@ayejayd33 thanks so much! Absolutely looking forward to making this springtrap head. It’s gonna be my first time making a costume! 😅

Amazing friend, I really liked it, so much that I want to try to do it myself. How long did it take you to make the head of the springtrap?
Thank you! It took about 20 hours total in a span of a few days
This is amazing! ❤ You inspired me to make my own! I was just wondering how you did the top of the head? I know you glued the triangles all together but it looks a little different after you cut the 2nd layer. Did the 2nd layer also go over the top too?
Hope that makes sense! 😅
Yep the second layer goes over the top 😁

I really like how your mask turned out ❤ just one question, was there a step after applying the 2nd foam layer? Because how did you make the nose/snout on the foam?
This happens between 1:01 - 1:03 , there appears to be a nose and i cant figure out how to make that
You mean the muzzle? All I did was stack a few layers of foam, hot glue them, and trim it to shape. Super simple
Hey just wondering can you tell me all the materials i need please also great video
Check the description 😁
this is better then the fnaf suits in the movie
🙏
Is polyurethane foam good? Or is there a special foam you have to use in order to make one of those.. polyurethane foam is pretty cheap where I’m at and its pretty big too
This is what I use, and if fairly cheap and comes in a big roll www.walmart.com/ip/Project-Foam-Pad-by-Fairfield-24-x-72-x-1-Thick/41386701?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2074&adid=2222222227841386701_117755028669_12420145346&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-294505072980&wl5=9052248&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=41386701&wl13=2074&veh=sem_LIA&gclid=Cj0KCQjwoK2mBhDzARIsADGbjeo2v9zHMlyF1CwTm_0-Pn9lGkVQd9SCw7m9_tHTykmC1AbO-Z4O8NEaAou_EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Dude, thats amazing
My question:
You can see from the mouth or where you put holes to see?
Thank you 🙏 And I've answered this question quite a bit in the comments, and it is also stated in the description 😁
Awesome work. So when you say you did two layers are they the same size or is that second layer slightly bigger?
Well the second layer has to be slightly bigger so it can fit over it
Will you make a video on how to make a full suit for springtrap? Wanna try cosplay and don’t know how to make the body.
I plan on it 😁
Daymn thats not bad
Honestly using this method for withered Bonnie when ever I get in lazy
Sorry to ask again, but i meant how do you glue the 2nd layer on since its a dome? Is it two pieces, or do you just put it on in one piece? Because that would leave empty space. Thanks again!
You hot glue it on all while rolling it. You're rolling another sheet of foam on top of the existing base, adhering it with hot glue
I love this tutorial! Just one improvement, I couldn’t see the mask the drawing part so I got confused. Whats a good base drawing for springtrap?
It just wasn't that important to show because you can just find an image online and free hand it from there. That's all that I did 😄
Thanks

Thank you so much! I appreciate the support 🙏
ME TOO!
Okay I’m going to remake the head next month because #1 I’m bored and #2 I have more reference photos I hope it turns out well
Nice!
I’m so sorry to ask another question but did you add extra foam to give shape for the muzzle area or was it carved out?
The muzzle is an extra piece of foam 😁
This looks great and im really tempted to create the movie version with this but how'd you make the nose in the early stages
The nose or the muzzle?
@@ayejayd33 Like when your cutting out the foam for the top half with the shape of the nose if that makes sense
I'm sorry but I still don't understand 😭 for the nose I just cut out a piece of foam to the shape of the nose and added the fabric on it. For the muzzle, I hot glued two pieces of foam on top of each other and trimmed and cut it to the shape of the muzzle
@@ayejayd33 I think I get it now sry
Is it possible if you can make suits with the mask as well? It would be awesome!
Definitely someday in the future! It'll take a lot of time and money, but hopefully with the growth of this channel, I can make it happen 😁
Thx for the tutorial i just made foxy and now im doing witherd bonnie
Glad I can help 😁
This is really helpful thank you so much! Although I do have one question, how ere you able to wrap the second layer of foam on the head? did u follow the same process that u did for the first layer? Sorry if this might be super obvious but I just want to make sure im doing everything right. Thank you so much again for this very helpful tutorial!
Thank you! And all I did was roll and hot glue the second layer on, trim the excess foam off, and do the triangle method on top again 😁
Thank you so much for clearing this up! You've really helped my cosplay journey:)
