Am I the ONLY person who thinks that Kyle actually WAS going to propose on Amanda's birthday, and Shino found out and deliberately interfered for her own sick amusement?
Because he was WEARING A SUIT, and hanging around the picnic-pumpkin patch area by Amanda's HOUSE with a little basket for a romantic birthday picnic! He probably hid the ring under that stupid beanie he wore and was going to pull it out. It explains why he didn't want to move from that area despite Shino's presence.
Like, usually when villagers (particularly Smugs I might add) give away catchphrases they're happy about it and Kyle wasn't. All conversation was "Happy Birthday Amanda, you look amazing! Shino, please fuck off!"
What got me is that at 50:13 you can see him talking to Pierce (the most recent victim of Shino), probably asking for advice about how to fix framed infidelity and he's there with him for the remainder of the video.
Who knows, I could be wrong and this comment could age like milk, but I'd give Kyle another chance.

Honestly this is so real, talking about aging in a real sense. It is scary! Thank you for validating that. I think the reason why aging is so weird and sometimes difficult is because we have always remained true to ourselves. When I was fifteen I thought I would be a completely different person when I was thirty and it’s easy to say that because you’re imagining a detached version of yourself. But I’m the same person! All the qualities I’ve had since I was a little girl will remain with me for the rest of my life. And I think that’s really beautiful. Shino is based of the story of a woman who fell in love with a monk. The monk promised her if she was still in love with him when he got back from his trip climbing a mountain they'd get married.
He came back but said he forgot about her and then left and never came back. The woman was so heartbroken she killed herself and became a vengeful demon.🥶Her mask in her house is based of her in theater being the spirit of furious angry sad women.
Basically, Shino saw it happen with Amanda and Kyle and got flashbacks

It's not that you're old, it's just a mental shift. Time moves more quickly as you age because each year is less of a percentage of the overall life you've lived, you know? Like if you've 5 years old, 1 year is 20% of your life, so it feels like forever. It's all relative. But it's so fun to be unbothered in your 30s and embrace the millenialiness of it all, haha.

Personally I think Kyle was innocent. I think the only reason he was hanging with Shino for so long is because she stole his catchphrase and he was upset about it! He even mentioned it to you! Finally able to sit and watch this. I'm also turning 30 in December and it's given me a lot of anxiety.
But then I read something along the lines of "the fear of aging is scarier than aging itself" and it sat with me. So many people have said their 30s and 40s are great. I'm also seeking out more media starring people 40+, it helps me feel like my story doesn't end after college or finding my life partner, etc.
It's crazy, but the closer it gets to 30 the more I'm trying to embrace it.

You have a good outlook. I started over at 25, thinking I failed at life already. I got back on my feet and it happened AGAIN at 34 (when I thought my shit was together) now at 37 I realize that life doesn't ever get easier, but you get stronger, and that there are probably more lessons to come, but that I can face them and come out on top.
