It’s absolutely shocking that we had created zero over 3 games. We didn’t threaten teams & to not play a winger or a striker to get crosses into the box is crazy if you play Adam’s then how is he going to score if you don’t supply him with service. Absolutely crazy situation about Shankland & Forrest basically not seen Shankland has had the piss taking out of him. Play him in the warm up games gets a goal against Finland then when we had created nothing in the first 2 games & we go into the last with a clear chance if you win you go through and to not have any shots or create chances then why would you not make changes after 60 minutes at the latest. We were awful let’s be brutally honest. I’d rather go out trying to win a match than play that way. 🏴😡🏴

Clarke is too negative, first game gubbed due to not tackling, second game better but still negative, third must win game sat back and did not attack. Clarke said it was a game where only one goal would be scored- this shows the mindset of a beaten before you start manager. Very few Scottish players playing for the big teams in the SPL and the same for English players in the EPL. All we are doing is toughening more technical continental players which in turn is making other national teams physically stronger. Unfortunately England will be joining Scotland soon

@@Jamie__1 The car analogy doesn't work because the player isn't obligated to keep moving forward. He should of taken the shot but regardless whether he played for it or not it WAS a penalty under current rules.
Clark might have gotten Scotland to this stage, but watching the sheer lack of quality and inability to attack, counterattack and even threaten teams shows that he doesn’t have the tactical ability to change and adapt.
The fact that Scotland only really looked like any sort of attack was when Shankland was on, and the fact he was kept on the bench till the end of the games is baffling.
A must win game, and even when Scotland had a chance to counterattack, they slowed the game down and passed back.

No-one likes to point the finger at the root cause, which in my opinion is a lack of quality in crucial areas, i.e. central defence and attack, and general pool depth. The nucleus of Mcginn, Mactominay, Robertson, Tierney, McGregor, Hickey, got us through many games. But the defence is suspect, and this is borne out by the level at which our players in those positions are playing, i.e. championship level or similar, and the rest of the team sub consciously drops deeper to protect the defence. The defence was dreadful against Germany, and gifted the equalising goal to the Swiss by a wayward pass. So a 4-3-3-, or 4-4-2 formation is out of the question, hence the perceived negative tactics. Unless we can unearth some decent central defenders, we will continue to struggle, and the new generation/alternatives of Doak, Ferguson, Morgan, Shankland, Conway, etc will be limited in their impact.

I have nothing against Steve Clarke as a person and would thank him for all his efforts but the time is right for a change.
I personally, would love to see Davie Moyes get his opportunity to manage the Scottish National team and hopefully get us to the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.🤞
I appreciate that Clarke has brought some sort of optimism back to Scottish fans and got us to the Euros twice but it's time to go. We've scored 3 goals (counting own goals) in 6 games of tournament play under him amd probably not had that much more shots on target. I don't think he's the man to break our first round curse.
I think the injuries just before the tournament killed us. But Clarke has shown he can't change even when it's not working.

If Steve Clark told the players not to shoot then he's gotta go. If the players aren't capable of creating chances or shooting then it doesn't matter what muppet is in charge of the team ,they are waisting everyones time. Look at the total points won by Celtic and Rangers combined in the last couple of years in the champions league and that tells you exactly where Scotland is on the international stage.And that's Celtic and Rangers being propped up by not great foreign players. We are at least 20 years away from being a top football nation,which is where we were 20 years ago and 20 years before that aswell.Not worth the wait!

Ally do some obvious research before the bla bla.. Losing is bloody irrelevant , if we had played out a 0-0 i reckon we would have been 20/1 or higher to qualify. We had to win simple as that & yet again Steve Clarke doesn't react to this reality until way too late. I don't know how it's possible that a coach/ manager at any level doesn't appear to have a plan B .
Well got to say when you have players sitting on the bank who you took you have got to give them a chance at least 20 mins but to give them two well you can forget it. And also Mc Ginn played for me on wrong side. Left footer was used on the right to get balance correct. Mc Gregor might have to miss out but to accomadate both for me was a mistake. Also Forrest sat out every game maybe better to leave the boy at home. At leased deserved a chance for 20mins.
