Excellent! I was able to replace the camera on my iPhone 5s, and it works again. If you have taken your phone apart before, this repair should take about 10 to 15 minutes (if you are being careful). If you've never taken your phone apart before, and you are are being super-careful because you are nervous about breaking something in there, it will probably take you about an hour. If you work in that iPhone repair kiosk at the mall, it will take you 2 minutes ;-)
iFixit deserve a NOBEL PRICE. Serious. Tx a lot: I've fixed my 5s 15min ago!! I'm so proud of me! And of YOU! There was a problem with the camera: front camera was allways off. Only rear camera was working fine (???). I've (very carefully!) opened the 5s. For my surprise I've realize first: the bracket covering the home button connector was NOT there, and second the bracket that's covering the camera connectors was also not there. Therefore, may be, the camera connector wasn't connecting very well. I've pried up the connectors and then I've connected again. And that was all the problem!!! Im happy.

Awesome vid. i was able to repair my camera. My issue was that the camera didn't focus. I tried several methods that i saw on CZcams (most hitting the phone) with no success. So i bought a camera on Ebay for $2!! bought some tools, all mentioned here and replaced it all in about a half hour. Thanks again. reading other comments below, i see the iphone's breaking a lot. do the switch people - Samsung!! you are not bound to iTunes and you have an SD card slot that can take a 256GB card!!! my entire music collection is on the phone. (i started with Apple both PC and smart phones, but now i'm Apple nothing. My wife on the other hand hasn't learned... and here i am today... fixing the camera.

surely not
My cam suddenly stopped working after I opened it to change the battery. I test it after reassembled and it worked shortly. Maybe the cable came loose or I got hacked.
