Hi Taco I am a 74 year old grandma. I love your show , The shirt you bought today with the logo 'Kukla, fran, and Ollie: was a kid's show in the 50's. Shari Lewis was a puppeteer who worked her puppets to talk. It would make a good vintage shirt, Check it out. Hugs to my favorite dog.🥰

I am 78 and I indeed remember Kukla, Fran and Ollie which ran from the late 40’s until around the late 50’s. Shari Lewis was not affiliated with that show, but she had her own show with Lambchop as the main puppet. That is a great VINTAGE find. Those were the good old days!🥰
Kukla, Fran and Ollie, was an old TV show from the 60's with puppets. You can find episodes on CZcams. 💗🐨

Yes, Maine got rid of plastic bags last year. And our Goodwills got rid of bags 3-4 years ago. It can be a mess sometimes when you forget to bring your own. Ask me how I know... 😅

Boy Scout hatchet prices are all over the price range. For 3 dollars you got a bargain. My 4 sons are all Eagle Scouts in their late 30's and mid 40's. I do not remember ever seeing a hatchet for sale at our local Scout office. I saw one site that said in the 1950's Still have their micro machines!
Boy Scout hatchets were usually found at the local sporting goods or department store that was the authorized retailer for BSA in a particular location.
Was impressed of the many themed tents. Looks like it was a sucess. ⚘️

Great shopping. Great video. I’ve been there in the past. Amazingly organized. The used books are grouped by genre and alphabetical by author. You should check the textiles tent for quilts.

kukla fran and ollie were little puppets that fought each other . they had saturday morning show when i was a kid in the 70s.

I remember when rummage sales had rummage sale prices. That was more between yard sale and flea market.
There is a lot of really good stuff at this one. It's in a very wealthy area, so many of the people who donate bring very good quality stuff, some of it still unused/with original tags attached, etc...so maybe not typical rummage sale prices, but a lot of the stuff is not typical rummage sale stuff! 😉

That was quite the sale! I love how organized they are and you got quite the haul! Ive dabbled with hats before but never clothes, though I’ve been interested in trying. I always enjoy learning from you and seeing what you get and what I should look out for in the sports niche. Can get such great deals at the yard sales and such, so always good knowledge to have. Great to live where you can find such awesome stuff. I have a brother who has an entire room in his house full of baseball memorabilia. He's been to every A AA, AAA and major league baseball stadium in US and Canada in addition to PR and other countries. Keep thinking he should sell some stuff, but it's mostly Mets and Yankees, Jets, Giants and Rangers, Islanders. He started working at the Diamond Club at Shea years ago and has a signed poster by all the 69 Mets! Enjoy your finds.

What a day! Is this the same sale from some years ago? The organization of this sale is top-notch. A person could supply a whole home, a complete pre-school, a sports team for kids-you name it. Connecitcut doesn't ban plastic bags. It taxes them... which resulted in stores discontinuing them immediately, and charging for paper bags shortly thereafter. They didn't want to deal with collecting the tax. I've been known to buy a glove or two too. Scored one catcher's glove I knew was older than dirt with a name I didn't know. Blind luck - it was the first catcher from the 1962 Mets.(LOL) Gave it to a Mets fan friend, who about fell over. Sometimes it's worth buying the oddballs even if you're not sure why.

circa 1955 Kukla Fran and Ollie were a kid show on TV. We had 3 channels so...I think Kukla sounded like Micky Mouse, Ollie was a dragon and talked slow and more philosophical. Odd I was just thinking about this show earlier this week. Thanks, a fun day.

Try Saddle Soap or Leather CPR on the leather baseballs to clean 'em up 👍
Leather CPR on those gloves will work miracles. Coat & let soak in, wipe, coat again - repeat until leather is supple. It works miracles!
