Now that was a good haul you guys had a blast thanks for sharing and thanks for all the hard work you do to bring us these adventures
I was sitting at this place called the square grouper with a friend, we watched a boat come in about mid afternoon and these 2 dudes did this choreographed fish dance pulling kings out of the box, loading them into brute cans with ice, chunking up cut bait from I think some bonito, neither guy tripping over the other, not one step wasted - it was art man.
I looked at my buddy and said bro, I think they're gonna go out and fill that box up again. He said "no way" ... guess what those two guys did?
I would love to get to go with some of these guys one day, but it's hard. I get that it's hard to deal with somebody that doesn't know exactly whats going on on that boat, but oh for the chance to go do that for just one day! I'm not talking charter, I can do that any time - I'm talking a day filling that box til I can't pick up a rod anymore kind of day.
Exactly and I'd do it for free and I'd stay on the opposite side of the boat so I wouldn't be in their way. Or I would gaff the fish for them.
Maybe it was these same dudes in the video I think they fish out of Jupiter and Palm beach

Your comment about commercial fishing being very difficult is so true ! I spent 11 years as a com. fisherman it was the best and worst years of my life! I got to live my lifelong dream yet I almost lost my family and home. Thankfully I quit went home and got a job for someone else!

Hell yeah man your totally right about commercial fishing it’s hard as shit I’m a commercial fisherman in Maryland I have my TFL license which is unlimited tidal fishing license and I have my LLC crabbing license, people think they have what it takes but it takes a special person to be a commercial fisherman and commercial guys do it for a living to put food on the table and roof over there family’s head but the weekend people don’t understand the way we live life and how stressful it is because you can make no money a day to $1200 a day

Why the 3 hook rig. On the east coast we use #4 or 6 trebble hooks and wire and 10 to 12# spinning rods. Are their different rules for your side.

@@sethdaboss245 depends on market but a good bet would be 1.50 lb and let's be generous and say 10lb average that's 1500 for a ton of work. They are making it harder and harder for anyone to make a living and you have to be well versed like Chief and Moosh and be able to switch gears and catch what comes their way. It was common to catch 10,000 pounds on a 48hr trip in the Keys 15 years ago and fish were 20lbs and up with tons of 40s and 50s not anymore catch shares is the most criminal shit ever
Hey Adam doesn't the texture of the kingfish gets affected when they are dropped and handled in a rough manner.
Honestly that's not really their concern. They gotta get while the gettings good. Next trip you might not even make enough to cover the 100-200 gallons of gas your burning.
