Sort of. When the UN in 1947, or the British in 1937 had a partition scheme, it was always to have "the Arab part" become part of the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan and never a "Palestinian" state. Saying that the original portion in 1922 was illegal (as were the others) because it breached international law... specifically Mandate article 5, and League of Nations Covenant article 22 which became the UN Charter article 22. In other words, there is no Palestinian state as the entities that tried to create them did not have the power of dispensation. (That was the Supreme Council-Britain, France, USA, Italy, and Japan- and only in 1920.) But I digress...

As a Singaporean I’m disappointed by the vote my govt made. Singaporeans owe a lot to Israel- when we asked Middle Eastern muslin countries for help to track up national defence as UK had pulled out and Malaysia had kicked us out… no one came to our aid.
