Royal Clipper Across the Atlantic Lisbon to Barbados

- Had the chance to take the trip of my dreams and sail across the Atlantic on a true sailing ship. Starting in Lisbon (Lisboa) Portugal with stops in Safi. Morocco and Funchal on the island of Madeira before a ten day sail aboard the royal Clipper sailing ship ending in Barbados in the West Indies. Come along and see the sights, meet some of the people, and hear the sounds that made my dream come true!

It was a trip of a lifetime for us and something completely different from what you experience on a ‘regular’ cruise ship. Would highly recommend it if you get the chance!
We join the Royal Clipper on New Years Eve. Never done it before. Thanks for the video! Any tips?
You’re in for a real treat! I’d suggest scopamine patches if you are at all prone to motion sickness as the Clipper pitches and rolls more than a regular cruise ship. Obviously that depends on sea conditions… My wife suggests elastic pants for the Clipper 5, 10, or 15 depending on how long you’ll be on board! Other than that, enjoy the heck out of it as its a special ship and a wonderful crew. I’d be curious to hear what you think when you get back!
Yes it is the star clipper. Royal Clipper is much bigger. Going next month again on the Royal Clipper

I just spent 2 weeks on the Royal and this is it. It is the only 5 masted ship in the fleet.
We are due to do the same sailing this October! Was the Morocco trip worth it? And was it offered by star clippers or did you do it yourself?
The shore excursions are offered through the ship. With the recent earthquake in Morocco not sure what will be offered but its still a beautiful country…
We are also going in October 18th next month 2023

It appears to me that this ship is the Star Clipper not the Royal Clipper.
It's the Royal Clipper... the Star has four masts and the Royal has five. Completely different rigs! Both are beautiful ships and I hope to someday sail on the Star as well!
