    There has to be faster response. 30 seconds can be the difference between permanent damage and a full recovery. Had they gotten out there quicker, he might have had a better chance of recovering. And clubs should be required to test for heart problems that cause this to happen

      @RossWild Před 6 lety +59

      All sport like rugby and football need an extra official like a life guard who isnt there to make calls for the game and only is there to watch each player for anything alarming, he would easily be able to talk to the ref and make call to stop play. Would of saved a good 15 seconds here. But the medical staff not getting on sooner is also bad considering play had stopped. Actually sad to see

    • @Loriani93
      @Loriani93 Před 6 lety +13

      Seriously the playerd from the german team had to call the medics over themselves like ???

  • @dylan243
    @dylan243 Před 2 lety +80

    If the medics waited this long for Eriksen he wouldn’t be alive right now. His teammate asked for help for ages before they stopped play and medics waited until even opposition players were shouting at them before coming over. Ajax medical staff are 100% to blame for what he’s gone through/ is going through. He was 21. Far too young of an age to become unable to to live normally. Diving is common in football but when a player goes to the ground off the ball like that it’s obvious something is very wrong. No one dives like this

    Things like this is when diving or players faking injuries really angers me. It happens so much in the game when players are laying down the refs and other players might not take it as serious. Players that dive show a lack of respect to Nouri, fabrice mumba, foe and others. As soon as you see someone laying then it should be boom stop play. I hope I make sense.

      "The ball was on the right, the two of us on the left and I saw from the corner of my eye that he sat down. I walked over to him, I knew that he was suffering from his ankle, was the first person to arrive. I say, "Appie, whats wrong?" He did not answer. I thought it was the heat. I came close to him and took his hand and asked again: "Is it going, Appie?" He said nothing. I now get goose bumps when I talk about it. He looked at me and I saw fear in his own eyes. I think: what is going on here? It seemed like he wanted to say something. I saw his mouth move, his jaws were stuck, but his tongue moved. If we Muslims think we are dying, we say a prayer. He could not talk but his tongue moved, and I saw that he said, "La ilaha illa Allah." Because of all those l sounds, I could tell by his tongue that he was saying this prayer. Only then did it dawn on me that it was wrong "

      CPR should be started as soon as he was unconscious even if he had a weak pulse. Cardiologist on CZcams confirmed. He said to take max 10 seconds to check breathing and pulse if I remember correctly. Maybe it was shorter. Basically you need to manually keep the blood flowing to the brain while the heart is stopped until he can be resuscitated. If someone has fainted but isn’t in real trouble they’ll most likely just wake up if you try to administer CPR.

    • @nolgonolja
      @nolgonolja Před 3 lety

      @@wicken_ching9541 no, medics said that eriksen was conscious at first but he was getting unconscious. I thought the meedical team performed CPR and AED for eriksen after a little bit time passing, but he ended up safe now. That is all we want. Those ajax medics also consumed some time to compress but it is only the matter of the result. If player is ok, then they perform well no matter what the procedure.

    I am deeply sorry for saying this, but THIS IS A PURE SHAME: Within one minute there is a Lifepak Defibrillator at scene, but it takes MINUTES of insecureness and helplessness until one of the so called "Medical Trained Persons" start even with chest compressions. As an emergency physician and Advanced-Life-Support-Instructor for the European Resuscitation Council I will never stop my sermon: Every soccer arena needs to have at least one semi-automatic defibrillator around and some periodically trained persons who KNOW what the FIRS STEPS are to establish an emergency blood circulation: Chest-Compressions and Defibrillation!

      Daniel Pavlovski when you have problems with your hart, playing sports or other intensive activities normally would be advised against. As for Nouri, he won't be able to play football again.

      Mouri will not be able to walk so it is done for him
      and even for such a young lad :(

      Katican Arts added to that, he won't be able to do anything anymore. He won't be able to walk (as you said), but he also won't be able to speak, eat or even think. Really, really sad news. And to think he's only 20 years old and a week before when he was tested, nothing bad with his heart was found. Goes to show how your life can end very suddenly and how you shouldn't take it for granted.
