Yesss seeing fashion/performing/arts students day in the life is so fascinating. I’m an economics student myself and I love my degree but damn I wish my daily routine was this fun 😅 there’s just so much practical work that goes into being a fashion student it’s so insightful. You must learn so much from a fashion degree (well, obviously xd)
Being a senior parsons student now, it is always mindblowing to see other students of other majors lives!! I’m an interior design major and spend most of my days at the laser cut machine or the woodshops 😂 loved this

my mom really wants me to be in the medical field. she says it’s because i’m do so well in math and science, but i think she just regrets not being a doctor. like she wants me to live out her dream. i kinda just went with it for my whole life until now. i’m a sophomore in high school and i’ve always liked modeling, art, and fashion but just pushed away because i thought i needed to be focused on my journey to medical school. i finally realized that it isn’t what i want. i’m really looking forward to my future now instead of dreading it.
I love fashion school vlogs!! in another life, I'd be a fashion student haha. just graduated film school tho, so still creative. I'd love to see a bit more of your campus, and some of your friends, if they feel like being on camera. was so lovely to see inside some of your classes tho. so fascinating from an outsider perspective.

OMG 😳, that was a lot of water! Wet vacs are so handy to have. It doesn’t usually rain that much here but every once in a while there will be a bad storm. We had one last autumn which is probably around when you moved to NY. I loved that movie! We also love watching Simu Liu on Kim’s Convenience on Netflix?

Hello! Nice job! I've seen how you've uploaded a few videos about your fashion studies, so I was wondering, how did you know you were allowed to film? Did you ask the person in charge of your school's social networking? Were they reluctant to give you permission? Do they have to view the video themselves first in order to let you publish it? Or did you just do it anyway?
It'd be really interesting to view your experience on that subject if you have the time and will.

im only 12 at the moment, but i’d like to know if fashion school is hard to get into? i would really love to do anything that has something to do in the art field
You’re so young don’t worry about that kind’ve stuff rn. I’m a senior and I just finished applications, I wish I was more present in the moment and not constantly thinking about the future. And you have plenty of time to discover yourself and your interests so don’t get worried!

I’m not sure if where you are, there are art foundation courses but that could be something you can have a look at?
I did one after finishing sixth form (I’m form the UK) and it really helped me discover which area of art I love most. In my experience, it’s a one year course that lets you be very free in your art and the tutors help you find a path by seeing what kind of styles and methods your drawn towards. I was so torn for many years as to what I want to do in the art world (jumped from photography, to graphics, to interior, to fashion) but through the foundation course I discovered that illustration and animation is what I enjoy the most.
Don’t know if this is helpful at all 😅 or if such course exists where ur from, but thought I’d share anyways. Good luck in your journey and like lily said, you still have lots of time to decide so just enjoy it for now x
@@entertainment-jh3io I would say follow your dreams but ofc thats easier said then done :( esp with strict parents, i get that. Maybe try talking to them? And explaining why you love fashion and maybe if you do a little research about certain schools/uni’s/ work places that you could attend and work at in the future, and show your parents that there are good schools within this subject, and that it can work out. Having that rough plan could maybe help them see how much you truly want this and that it can potentially provide a good future.
I don’t know much about fashion personally so I can’t help too much in that sense, idk what type of jobs are available in the fashion industry. Def do a lot of research and maybe find different people on youtube documenting their experience, or talking to other students/teachers about this industry. It’s not an easy subject but if you love it then it’s worth the shot, tbh all the art related subjects are a LOT of hard work, but again if there is that passion for it, it becomes worth it.
Sorry loll didn’t mean to make this message so long.
But yah, I do think that showing/explaining/talking to your parents about the fashion pathway and how you would achieve this dream, could help them understand that it’s a good future xx
