Thanks for the Vid, tried Pendpot two weeks ago and liked it a lot. For my personal work i will use it more (self-hosted). External deisgners often still in learning phase for figma - telling them another tool might be a painful process (again).

Thank you, good alternative for Figma. I use Figma and they start suddenly all most 40 eur a month for Figma dev? It's to much for me

i hear that a lot! Penpot is committed to open source and 'free for life' but keep in mind that while Penpot has actual css grid for ex, there are some things missing like variables. it is a newer product though and will hopefully give figma real competition!

    How to make scrolling page?

not sure i quite get what you want to achieve? Penpot mentioned they are working on 'interactivity' (hover, click, scroll) - it might even already be released

A good product, there are prospects, but if you have used Figma and are trying to work here, you will have problems with the fact that everything you are used to is almost absent here. Very unpleasant user experience

Interesting, what did you feel were the most important missing features? I am not a heavy Figma user but felt pretty comfortable with all the layout options available. I didn't see if theres variables, but components felt good. Because they are new and a small team, you may be able to actually get your ideas into Penpot too.

@@BrendanOConnellWP I'm not saying that the product has no future, it has the potential to compete with Figma in many ways.
The first thing I didn’t like was the lack of variables, all types (number, value, condition, color).
Second, after I registered and closed the site, and then logged in again, by clicking on the login button, I received a 404 error, I was forced to delete the cookies in order to be able to log in again.
This alone already annoys me, but I could continue... I don’t criticize that they are pointless, what they created is already good, but they need to import figma files, sketch (like figma did to kill the sketch) they need ux the same +/- as figma, because all the designers chose figma over experiential design precisely because figma offered more advanced functionality and convenient experience + plugins, where are the plugins?

@@Atractiondj wow thanks for the detailed response! All those points make sense and I share most of them. There's a lot of important steps to really eat into any meaningful size of Figma. Will be exciting to see what they come up with now that 2.0 is released.
