Making A Wooden Whistle (Common Tools Version - Electric Drill And Hand Tools Only)

A while back, I made a small wooden whistle using my drill-powered lathe - I thought it might be interesting to try making one without it - so this one is made with common tools - just an electric drill and some hand tools and sandpaper.

I’ve found that a cheap potato peeler is a handy tool for whittling (and safer than a sharp knife).

Have you ever done any purely artistic whittling? Wooden figures and the sort, I mean.

It's something I intend to try - on some of my outdoor videos (for example the ration pack field tests) there is significant downtime in the afternoon - I could definitely fit in a bit of whittling
