GIANT WATERFALL IN PUERTO RICO, AND IT'S NEAR SAN JUAN! CHARCO PRIETO

-THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE AT THE WATERFALL. For me, GPS worked all the way there, but when leaving, Google Maps could not find a route. I was able to use my location on the map to retrace my route back to the nearest town, and by then, service was available.
-KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER. Heavy rains upstream of the waterfall can create sudden and dangerous conditions on the river.
-THE TRAIL CAN BE DIFFICULT. The trail is approx 3/4 mile. There are some rocks to climb, streams to cross, and sometimes the trail is muddy in spots. To get to the main waterfall at the end, you use a rope and climb along the rocks.
You will see in the video a person climbing down from the waterfall with a child on his back. For me the trail is challenging and I love it.
WATCH THE VIDEO AND YOU WILL GET A GOOD IDEA OF THE TERRAIN
People live in this area so please be mindful and respectful when visiting this truly amazing spectacle of nature. Don't leave trash or damage the plants. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.
CHARCO PRIETO WATERFALL is located near the San Juan Metro Area, in the rural part of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The coordinates for Charco Prieto are: (18.2914019, -66.1875779).

in villalba up in the mountains barrio dajaos theres a chalco prieto and down river theres el salto prob one of the biggest saltos on the island it dries up during summer but in aug sept its insane 😍😍

I’m coming for the 1st time April 12th and chose to stay in Luquillo instead of San Juan so that I can be closer to the rain forest.
