- We don't deserve this band....but here they are telling us that we do and they love us for it. This is, not only a beautiful song with wonderful production, but a love-letter to the fans. It could have been a letter. A post on Twitter. A short on CZcams.....no.....they went and wrote a whole song just to tell us, again (About Us) how much WE mean to THEM!
Please, watch the original video!

MISA playing without a pick. Saiki singing a ballad. Miku playing her acoustic. What a band.
They appreciate their fans enough to immortalize it in multiple songs. They've written us three different love letters now: SMILE, ABOUT US, and now MEMORABLE. Miku, Saiki, Kanami, Akane, and MISA are five absolutely amazing humans.
You know they really mean their appreciation towards their fans. They definitely know that a slow, “simple” song will not be as well-received as an MV as their usual hard and fast ones just based on past statistics, but they go ahead to release it anyway for those the song is meant for. 😊
Thank you, Ryan. BAND-MAID is a once in a lifetime experience. Their talent as musicians, their foresight in respecting a song first, their ability to write and arrange amazing compositions and, just as important (at least for me), their beautiful personalities have made my life and love of music elevate above my previous expectations. BAND-MAID, thank you for never forgetting your loyal followers.
*BAND-MAID* are not JUST super stars they are -just- great human beings 😊
❤❤❤
You put "just" in the wrong place 😁
"BAND-MAID are not JUST super stars, they are great human beings" 😊
@@VladimirChupin Shirley, I would be lost without your guidance 😊
@@VladimirChupin 💯% agree 🤙🏼
Something about Kanami, about the whole band, their sound feels like it’s tied directly into my nervous system.
That is the gift. It is like a unique chord or even tone that many when they hear it respond to it and in just about every corner of the globe.
There is much truth to that. Our sense of hearing is most powerful.

there are bands that tug at the heartstrings, but only a rare few touch lives. we're all so grateful for living at the very time they're sharing their music.
This song hits the heart in so many ways. Thank you Band-Maid. I've never heard of a band until B-M, that writes love songs to their fans. They are truly special. The lyrics are absolutely beautiful, wow Miku and Saiki. To have been apart of this, sending them on their way from Chicago, is Memorable on it's own. But to hear them express their gratitude in such a way really shows us how truly wonderful they are. And yes, someone is cutting onions in the kitchen right now. Edit: (I wonder what the person in the truck was thinking; a japanese maid standing in the middle of the desert with a guitar.) ぽ
Well said, mate!
Such a beautiful song. It’s been amazing to watch their journey over the years. ♥️
I've been a fan of many bands over the years, and many of those bands appreciate their fans and have a special relationship with them. But I've never seen a band/fan relationship quite as special as the one Band Maid has with us. We are experiencing something unprecedented.
Great video, Ryan.
We should all be grateful that this miracle call bandmaid is here on earth with us at this moment.
Hear hear!
Kiseki-po!

The song is beautiful.. the video is beautiful… Miku is beautiful … All I can really say is that being a fan of this band is just an awesome thing.
Well, they always come up with something memorable
I can see how Kanami is inventing this song playing on piano. Beautiful melody.
Thanks Ryan - love this song - it involves all of us and them. tears of joy
This is why Akane cried at the Chicago show. They love us as much as we love them. I feel blessed to have discovered them 4 years ago, and to watch them blossom both as stellar musicians, as well as 5 beautiful ladies who have such deep appreciation for their fans. In my 60+ years I have NEVER seen a band who treats fans more like a community, or extended family, and it's like we're all a part of something bigger than our individual selves... together. Everyone at the Chicago show was so happy, and new friendships were forged in the waiting lines and throughout the crowd. These girls have been life changing for so many of us. Thanks for all you and the Gaijin Guys do for helping to make them more popular, so others can discover their magic, too.
the give and take from Band-Maid and the fans is so unique. we give our all and so do they. it is a symbiosis.
I love this band and this fanbase. Hopefully we can all get a drink after a show in the future.
For this song, it was Miku's acoustic playing and Akane's fills during the solo that got me good.
The lyrics were powerful and the melodies were beautiful, which made me emotional... :"(
Thank you for reacting it
Yep it's as impactful & moving as "About us". I hope you're doing well, Mami.🙂👋
@@GaryHolloway-810 There is probably no other band that cares about us fans so much. I am proud of BAND-MAID and respect them.
Thanks for always caring about me, Gary-san xD Take care
The song, the emotion, the gorgeous video, the appreciation for such a band. They are a treasure to the growing number of us Maidiacs who love them back. Thanks, Ryan.
If they stop with this song, they have already have a place in history. A memorable place.
Can't wait for the deep breakdown next
We felt the same i also cried from the moment j heard it..
Kanami's solo sounded abrupt and disjointed the first few listens. Then I remembered that Kanami speaks thru her guitar. That was a heartfelt but unpolished little speech! Now it makes so much sense.

I cried at the song, I cried again to see you cry and to hear what you said in the reaction.
When a rock band is formed out of humble, egoless, hard-working, talentful human beings, you can reach this state of wonder that Band-Maind incarnates. They redefine what Rock should have always been: a pure feeling which can be either soft or brutal, without any need for faking a rebelious posture.
“State of wonder.” Perfect expression. Only the Beatles ever did this to me before, and that was over 50 years ago.
Thank you, Ryan. This song becomes greater to me the more I hear it. Bigger and more meaningful on each listen.
No other band in the world loves their fans more than Band Maid ,Smile is another love letter to us to.going to see them in May

You know, you say that they have had an impact on your life; and I can relate so much. Last year I have been diagnosed with depression. And in my darkest days, the ones who got me fighting were Band-Maid. No words will ever be able to explain how much these women mean to me. And during the Tokyo show I cried my eyes out. I feel this song and the love of them so much
If i don't listen to them during the day, it affects me. They are good for the soul
The greatest band on Mother Earth ❤❤️🔥❤
Hard to argue with that.
Ryan, I can totally relate to what your feeling because I feel the same, and after meeting them with you and seeing how much they care about our opinions and just being so sweet towards us, this song just hits different.
This Band is Life changing!
I remember watching you're first reaction to band maid with their song no God the song that hook you up with them ang now seeing you crying with their latest song..☺️😭
Just a special group of people. Thank goodness for them.
😢 Beautiful... I feel the same way man, you just expressed it MUCH better then I could... Thank you. 🥲
You spoke for many of us fans with this moving reaction. I am made almost literally speechless by this song.
I really cannot remember a band who has such a relationship with their fans. We love them and they love their fans, a real incredible friendship between band and fans.
We show them love, they reciprocate it back to fans. 🥰
It's wonderful to still be alive to witness these 5 ladies making their music , this song!
They've answered my question "Do they really know how much they mean to us?"
You love me
This song will be appreciated differently by Band-Maid fans compared to by those new to the band. On the surface this feels like a very well-written love song. Only Band-Maid fans know _who_ this love song is addressed to, and truly understand _why_ they wanted to write this. Yet, with every new song this band writes they make everyone who hears it a bit of a better person; these ladies are inspirational and they matter. And here with this more popular sounding song they show us yet another one of their songwriting talents that we all knew existed. No surprise; they knock it out of the park as per usual.
Imagine... in their concert, Kanami on Piano, Miku on A-guitars and Saiki ofcourse... gives me the chills🥲😂🖤
They are a gift..........
Three times they have done this. There is also "Smile". I'm with you on this Ryan, these five ladies really turned my life around, and it's more than their music. They are inspirational on a lot of levels. I feel truly blessed to be around to witness whatever they do next.
Absolutely. In a world of cynicism and pitchforks, they are sincere. They share their passion with us; their love. They make the world a happier place and all they have to do is be themselves.
@@Parker-- well said.
@@RobinC63 aww shucks. Thanks.😊
Long live Band-Maid. At this point, they already would live on in our hearts for the rest of our lives though.
Absolutely beautiful and moving song from our Maids! We love you Band-Maid! ❤❤
I love watching Kanami play without a pick, I love that expression of concentration when she holds it in her mouth.
Great comment: "Band-Maid has expanded the range of my life."
That's perfect.
❤ The emotions. Such a pretty song. Thanks for uploading tonight :)
That Saiki velvet voice... goosebumps. Thank you Ryan!. I've been moved once again...
I think every fan should watch this video
I have played bass and jammed with my best couple buddies since we were kids 15 years ago. Band Maid brought me back to the mind set of "I wanna create shit" I wanna make new shit to share like they do". They have reminded me how fun music is to make. I can not wait to be back in that basement with the buys lol
The offspring of the love between Band Maid and their fans is this song. Band Maid nurtures each song like it’s their child, Po! I hope in a few years they will have kids of their own because they will be great, loving mothers. 😊 🦍🍌 Btw, the end of Kanami’s solo is like the signature ending of “Awkward.”
So damn heart warming. May 22nd can not come soon enough. If they play this in NC I'm gunna be a wreck. Pretty sure it wont just be me though. And to have Miku walking in a beautiful US scenery is just... chef's kiss
I hope they play it in Charlotte but not sure if they will. Don't think Miku too keen on putting her acoustic in baggage lol. At least last tour she didn't. May rent one? Who knows
@@eaglez1901 The Zemaitis in the video is different from hers, I mean the one she's playing in the live concert shots (and the one she played in the Christmas acoustic okyu-ji). Her Zemaitis has a rosette with inlaid hearts, and the one in the video has little dots or diamonds or squares or something. Maybe the one in the video is a rental or loaner?
well we all know how that happily played out lol cheers!@@eaglez1901
I totally agree with you, this is indeed special, tender, and heartfelt. I've had to pull away so many times today just to regain composure. It's a beautiful song...pure poetry in motion. So much respect on this reaction Ryan. 🤘
The answer to your question, yes I truly believe they appreciate us as much as we appreciate them! The music they put out is a personal connection with us, it’s about us!! Everything they do is memorable and stamped in our hearts! I cannot think of another band who does this! Band-Maid is truly OUR favorite band! The emotion you felt has been transpired from their music and from the awesome people around the world! You’re awesome Ryan!
"Can they really appreciate us as much as we appreciate them?" Ryan, I've watched you react to many Band-Maid songs. I've seen you struggle for words to express what you're thinking and feeling. But you have your moments, and this is a major one. Thank you, brother.
Que viaje ha tenido usted desde su 1ª reacción hasta este "memorable" song . Es un placer seguirle desde aquella 1ª reaccion.
Salud y R&Roll .
Gracias Band-Maid... gracias Ryan...
Thank you for sharing Ryan. I’m 61 years old and have never appreciated a band as much as Band Maid. They simply are the best.
Thanks 💜 I feel good knowing I'm not the only one crying today with this song. I wasn't even there for this tour cause I'm not from the US, but I've watched every fancam, every commentary and I also feel like a part of it even if I couldn't physically be there, so this song still moves my heart.
This song and About Us are true gems that they've gifted us purely out of their appreciation for their fan base and I love them all the more for it 💜
I waited all day for your reaction, glad I stayed up late for it ❤️🔥
Rock on, Po! 🕊️🤘🖤😎

Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. Thank you, Ryan 😊
Lovely piece of music, and heart melting lyrics. I'd offer you a tissue Ryan, but i've used them all.
I hope these beautiful girls know that they have changed the lives of many people, myself included. It's hard to believe but it's true.
To love them and To be loved by them, for loving them...i just can't right now. All i can say is i love band maid. Thank you Ryan!
Starting with a warm acoustic guitar sound? come on, I know what they're trying to do... make us cry, right? well, they've got me too, Ryan. Saiki's vocals, Miku's whisper at the beginning of the 1st chorus and the other backing vocals (for me this is the best part), Misa doing her fabulous work, Akane's fills with the great "less" and our genius composer Kanami. Everything is wonderful. I knew it was coming, but it's beyond my expectations, thank you so much for sharing your feelings about this beautiful band as always.
Thanks, Ryan, you summed it up. I just remembered (and hunted down) a line in a Barks interview last December, where Kanami said: "It had been such a long time that I felt as if I was going abroad for the first time. Like “Are there really our masters and princesses (fans) in the US?” Then I actually went there and got a sense of relief like “Ah, I’m relieved, they are really there!” (laughs) I kind of got a lot of inspirations throughout the tour." Yeah, I'd say you did! And the fact that they'd write something back to fans all over the world in gratitude is more than we deserve.
Everything you've said to this is spot on on every level. I was hooked from their very first video( Thrill) and I've definitely felt every emotion imaginable listening to them and watching them. Band Maid is one of the Most Phenomenal Bands I've heard since Pink Floyd. That's just from my own experience. I guess what I'm saying Ryan is that feel the same way as you. Maybe not in the same aspect. But I do feel that Band Maid has changed my musical life.
Thank You for your Great Outtake on Band Maid and their holds on us Maidiacs
"It's almost a country song. At least, it is more country than most of the garbage on country stations today."
It's honestly a blessing to be able to support artists that care so much back for all the appreciation we have for them. As both a huge Band Maid and a Dreamcatcher fan, with Reason and Memorable releasing close to each other, emotions are at an all time high. Love both of them so much ❤
I think this reaction of yours is a great example of how music can empower people. Thank you for your wonderful reaction.
I hadn't seen this video when it came out, I just saw it now and I was also very emotional seeing how it impacted you. I met BAND-MAID 3 years ago and my love grew by watching both your videos and other people's. I thought it was amazing when you created Gaijin Guys, because I already liked the videos of reactions that you made separately and seeing the four of you together was a really cool thing. I'm from Brazil and I might never get to see one of their shows, even though they're my favorite band. But watching you talk about it, going to the shows, being moved by all of this, makes my heart warm a lot.
This fan community is incredible and seeing how songs impact people in such unique ways is something very special. The best band with the best fans for sure. Hugs and lots of love from Brazil to all of you who share the same love I do for this amazing band
Thank you, that's very nice 🙂
Absolutely Beautiful
Ryan, this is my 2nd comment in this video. what I want to say is that I have watched a bunch of reaction videos about this song and yours is undoubtedly the most deep and touching one of them all.
As a long time band maid fan, I can feel the same way as you do about the lyrics! 😭😭😭
ライアン、こっちまで泣けるじゃないか😢garden theaterでも、友人に「なんだこのバラードは⁉︎」と聞いたことを思い出しました😊
いつも素敵な動画をありがとう🤗
So beautiful. The sound Kanami expresses here is night and day from the Covid Era songwriting. Misa and those bass slides - feels like she's playing a violin. And the vocals. Wow. Saiki simply incredible. Sign me up for a full album of mid tempo songs.
They had half an album of one… Conqueror… and a portion of their “fans” were crying murder. 😅
@@weilima9316 Yeah, I was a little bummed about that. I loved Conqueror, and I love the band's versatility to make masterclass mid-tempo songs. I think the majority of fans - even the ones that venture out of the heavy metal zone for some Band-Maid - probably prefer the band to make the music that it wants to make, even if it might fall outside of personal taste. But there always seem to be a very vocal few who are no fun at all.
Miku in the wilderness.....as someone pointed out...she finds a piano...The piano being Kanami!....because she is not playing the guitar...she is carrying it like she did in the early creation of BAND-MAID..as she coudn't play....Kanami taught her to play..and brought her in from her wildnerness...So it might be a subtle "Thank You" to Kanami...As I believe Kanami wrote the track during the US tour and Miku and Saiki put lyrics to it once Kanami showed them her composition....We know Kanami gave it her all during the tour as she was not feeling well at times (certain health issues) and was exhausted...But she battled on for the band....She is a SUPERSTAR!!!🥰...They all are....No band like them!.....Long May They Reign!👑
I felt it to buddy what a great from our band
I posted it on the discord and a few other videos, but to me, this song, is Band-Maid's version of Jackson Browne's "The Load Out - Stay". It tells the "Masters and Princesses" just how much they know we love them and they love us in return. And we make their performances comlete.
They say its hard to watch a grown man cry...
On this occasion it was damn near impossible.
I could barely see through my own tears...
You said it all Ryan, and you said it beautifully.
All the best my friend.
I've never seen a band lay waste to every venue they Grace with so much elegance as The Maids
Make no mistake The Maids live performances or absolutely devastating
I feel you brother, I’ve seen the video about 15 times now, 12 of which were reaction videos.
It would seem that my emotional response gets more and more intense with each successive time I’ve watched it and heard Saiki belt out those sweet beautiful lyrics along with that haunting composition.
Your reaction to this beautiful song was wonderful, and it was a pleasure to hear somebody react to the song who actually understood what it was about. (unlike most of the other reactors)
It is a beautiful feeling, to know that “WE”, as fans who attend their shows, and support their musical endeavors and platforms with so much passion and joy are all part of this amazing symbiotic relationship with these five lovely, charming & talented ladies.
Perfection. That's how I describe this song and this band. Very few bands have even one album that I consider perfect. Far fewer have more than one. The Beatles from Rubber Soul through Abbey Road. Queensryche from Rage for Order through Promised Land. Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules. And then there's Band-Maid. Every time, pure perfection. Every song in their discography belongs there. To remove any of them would diminish the whole. This is the best band I've been fortunate enough to discover and will probably remain the best ever, at least in my lifetime.
Very well said. They have impacted so many lives including mine and it brings me joy that they know how much they are loved and appreciated. Before the US tour Saiki didn't believe that people would show up to the shows and thought everyone had probably forgotten about them. That is why the lyrics hit so hard for me. You could see how much fun they were having during the tour. I am glad they had such a wonderful experience here.
I would also add Smile to the list of songs directed to the fans.
Well said, mate!

When the plague was at its height, 'About Us' helped me release a lot of emotions that I'd had to keep to myself. I sobbed and felt unburdened and relieved and. most of all, I regained my hope for better times. Although times are now a lot better (seeing friends and family again, for example) this MV, with Kanami's thoughts turned into lyrics, moved me within 15 seconds of it beginning, though in a happy way. I hope that Budokan invites them to perform the gig they had to miss and that they visit Europe next year.
There was NO "plague"--just a grasp for global power by evil controllers who could only have enjoyed killing music for a while .
We must not tolerate a repeat performance.

Terrific song and great reaction. Many of us feel the same way. They are a very unique band. An Assassin, a Pigeon, A Gorilla, A Queen and a Mincho have brought life back to rock n roll and all our lives.
Their love for their fans is eternal and everflowing. They're really a great group of ladies. So special. My daughter and I will be seeing them again in Nashville later this year, so excited!
i believe Miku tweeted about taking a walk by herself on Saiki''s birthday. i could be wrong ..great reaction!!!!! hope to see everyone in Atlanta peace✌ 🕊🍌🍻☕🚂
I feel you, Ryan. They have broadened my view and love of music as well. I saw them at Aftershock (met Alan, that was cool), and Phoenix, where I live. Phoenix was the smallest venue on the tour. I was watching and actually concerned that the crowd wasn't giving them their due. They seemed happy, Mincho smiles while shredding, Misa toasting the crowd, Misa giving Akane a piggyback while she did the "Mol moi kyun kyun" shtick. But still, while pouring out their art over 500 people in a concrete box, I wondered what they really thought. Now I know.
bandmaid pulling happy emotion filled tears from us again. honestly 7 years and they still can effect me so hard, this time emotional tears other times with any emotion you can think of. its one of the many reasons ive loved this band for so long. and thats not even mentioning the people ive met via bandmaid, the experiences ive had because of the band and the creativity and community ive seen created by the magic of these 5 ladies. they truly are a gift that keeps giving
